  1. I don't know anything about David, but I hope he thought seriously about what he's getting into. As he's older I'll have to assume that he has. Christine needs to grow up and stop shooting "gotchas" in Kootie's direction. Either she's in love with David and over Kootie, or she's not. Either way, as a human being David deserves better.
  2. This show is attempting to kill us all via a slow, painful death. This crap they're showing is from around 2 years ago. Can they not do some sort of "special" to review these tired old scenes, schemes, and themes, retire them, and then we can move on to fresher, more current stuff? Sheesh. 🥱
  3. Robyn could begin a whole new profession acting as a liaison between artists and soon-to-be baby mamas who require skilled professionals to sketch in some slight - ummm - touches to portraits of well-established families of previous baby mamas. She could make a fortune!
  4. Oh I think Robyn's career opportunities are infinite in their scope! For example, she would make a great polygamous marriage counselor, with all of her "emotional intelligence" and all. 🙄
  5. Not to mention some of that awful furniture! 😏
  6. Agreed. And she's pretty, to boot. I hope it gets better for her if she goes to college.
  7. I feel bad for Savannah, too. She seems to be the forgotten child. Even more so than Truely.
  8. Well, Gram, I'm gonna leave you to it for the year. This is our last week running out West, as we head back to the Southeast for a spell. Usually, we're fighting one hurricane or another in South Carolina or Florida as we head home in September, but we stayed later than normal this year to look at properties. I recall one year we were in Florida at a beer D.C., along with about 25 other trucks, waiting to get loads of product out of the warehouse before the hurricane winds came through. Good times! 😛 It's been hotter than Satan's gonads out here this year! Beautiful, but hot. Time to get a little humidity mixed in with our heat...yeah buddy. 😃
  9. It appears to be quite "builder grade", though.
  10. As far as it goes, considering she's polygamous Robyn's comment makes sense to me, but I wouldn't want to be in a relationship where I would have to make such a comment in the first place.
  11. B.J. added so much to the show. If only she had taken over for Suzanne from the get-go the show would've been much better. Her personality was as big as her hair, and I loved her to death. Carlene, OTOH, was awful. That character made the show come to a screeching halt every time she uttered a line. Jan Hooks, the actress who played her, was great, and I quite liked her. But the character was a caricature. So disappointed in Linda Thomason with that one.
  12. Perhaps, but it's still Robyn's home and I would presume that, when it comes to her kitchen that she makes the rules. I can't see Meri letting the kids running amok through her food supply, or her even keeping snacks for the kids all of the time. She may have, I don't know. What the other moms did as the norm was on them. They're adults, if Robyn's kids were eating their food without reciprocal privileges, then that's on them. 😉
  13. Sorry, as much as it PAINS ME to agree with the Devil's sensai, I do. Perhaps she had already trained her kids to ask first before snarfing down food. Maybe the others weren't trained in that manner. When I was growing up we ate 3 meals a day; snacking between meals was frowned upon unless we were involved in sports, or helping mom in the garden or yard. Boy, I wish I could back to that strict food regimen. 😕
  14. Hey, maybe Meri's tooth should get it's own thread! Call it: "Hanging Out in Meri's Mouth", or "Tella Tooth, Getting Down to the Root of All Things Meri"; or "The Tooth's View, Glad to Never See Kootie's Tongue Again"
  15. When traveling to another country one should at least make an effort. Truely could still be Truely, but just level up a notch. 🙂 For example, Truely could steal that lovely pink raincoat from Aspyn and wear it. As pretty as Aspyn is, she could wear a potato sack and get by with it. 😁
  16. Agreed. I'm starting the implant process for one of my front teeth this Fall, and it is very expensive. 😬 Yikes.
  17. I recall reading her book at the time. Dixie came off to me, a fellow southerner, as quite old fashioned but harmless. Granted, it was over twenty years ?ago? since I read her book, so I don't remember most of it. I could, however, see her POV on dressing very young children in simple white clothing. I find bright clothes on babies and very young children garish and loud. However, to each their own. I also recall Dixie stating that she didn't use soap on her skin, and that she toweled off briskly to remove dead skin cells. She also had a amusing tale of her inadvertently showing off her private parts to some folks or at a function, I can't remember, and how she told Mr. Holbrook (what she called Hal in private) about it, later. I felt so bad for her, bless her heart. All in all, Dixie came across to me as one who tried to be a good wife, friend, and person. A little crazy is not a bad character trait to have in this cray-cray world. Hope she and Hal are having a ball in heaven. 😉
  18. Loving that pink raincoat! 😍
  19. Meri needs to seek therapy. To alter one's real physical attributes as much Meri does with her flamboyant use of filters is to me indicative of some sort if psychosis. In real life her skin is blotchy, and her face is wide and unevenly colored. She has the shoulders of a football player. In other words, she's a menopausal or post-menipausal woman. Ain't nothing wrong with that; it just is what it is. For me, it's surprising to see Meri's altered pics next to her show pics because they are so jarringly different. Back in the day Meri was very pretty with her long blonde hair and blue eyes. Her figure was nice. So was mine...now, not so much! 😪 People used to stop me on the sidewalk and ask if I was a hair model. Now, folks ask me if I've ever heard of conditioner, namely "Horses Mane"! 😒😒😛
  20. It looks like she had a professional put in extensions and toss those locks, but I could be wrong. In any case, she looks happy and her hair is GORGEOUS!
  21. Excellent point. Choosing between two weddings so close together, Maddie may have chose a "mom" wedding over a sib one. Gwen, ostensibly having a good heart, surely would have understood, and perhaps will see Maddie, then, if she hasn't left for Spain.
  22. Excellent! Hitchcock movies would have made spectacular case studies for such a course. 😮 I believe this pic (in part) is indicative of Janelle's transition from distant and aloof couch potato of the earlier seasons to one who is simmering with inward resentment. Janelle's not quite out the door, but she's seriously considering it. 😉
  23. Oh, I don't know, with that many young'uns there is bound to be tensions and favorites among the sibs. Maybe Maddie and Gwen are just not close, for whatever the reason. It happens. 🤷‍♀️
  24. Trouble with cranky neighbors a puttin their hands on your trashcan? Well, just let me know if you want me to have my DH go a "fishtailing" up your road! One well-timed swipe with our trailer ought do da job! 🚛 😲🤣😉
  25. Agreed! Note how Kootie's shirt is purple in the beginning, perhaps indicating he's the spiritual leader of his baby mamas. Now it's beige, indicating that he's faded away into the background of most of the mama's lives? Oh, this is fun! I took a course in grad school on the symbolism and propaganda of modern-day advertising in pics, television, film, and other media, and I enjoyed it tremendously. Thanks for reminding me of this, Cancun. Come on back, now, for I want to play more. 😉
