  1. I hope JG doesn't give Claire a pass for 4 kidnappings and attempted murders. I believe she went to a good college, didn't she? She had access to information that the rest of the world does, didnt she? Certainly she could have at least caught a clue that Auntie Jordan was unhinged, before co-signing on their Newman family rampage? I hope Nikki falls so deep back into her bottle that the Abbots put a lid on it, and market her from Jabot as Eau De Bitch.
  2. ITA, I think particularly Kody, Meri, & Robyn frauded the viewers, but only after being aided and abetted by TLC. Meri's meltdown about the ring melting was about IMO not being the one who got to do the 1st on camera reveal about it. Kody said he'd be willing to "fake it" with Meri..for who? To keep the show going, and that's why Robyn and Meri have been faking their Sister Wives bond for the last 4 seasons. When this show started, it was about them living a lifestyle that was part of a religion. Somewhere along the line that all got lost, while we watched 4 women compete for their unattainable "time with Kody." Reality is, Kody has no time for anything or anyone except his own self gratification. I feel at this point they are all just angling for their own spinoff shows. Remember Meri as HBIC towards Janelle and Christine for years before Robyn showed up? My guess now is she's going for a show called "Meri NOW." Kody reconciling with Janelle? Who in God's name would watch that beside a masochist? Kody told all 4 of them: Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn exactly who he is when he divested himself of their Cladaugh ring, and then bought a new ring that he liked. Face it folks, Kody will spend the rest of his life like a lot of divorced loser men do: always looking for the next bright shiny thing, and whining about what disappointments of all his ex-wives have been. Hope Robyn gets it's just going to be a matter of time before time's up for her too.
  3. I don't get why finding out if Victoria found out Claire is her daughter would be earth-shattering. Given the fates of her, Nick's, and Adam's kids, she'll just end up being shuttled off to somewhere out of sight soon, like the rest of their kids.
  4. The thing I would like to know is whether either Ashley or Tucker have filed for divorce? If Ashley hasn't, Tucker could be in for everything she owns, if she suddenly popped her clogs, and vice versa. Given that Ashley did a 180 degree reversal of the terms Tucker believed their marriage would be conducted by (like almost 24 hours after their nuptials) he might even have criteria for an annulment. It seems rather strange to me that these 2 masters of the universe, portrayed as being so business savvy, would leave such a critical matter at loose ends. Oh, that's right, JG is writing the scripts. My bad.
  5. Where the hell did Ashley get those ear bobs she was sporting and flinging all around her head today?Looked to me like she'd found some long lost CD's she didn't listen to anymore, and spray painted them gold!
  6. Let's not give up the ship, the Newman jet can still crash on its way back to GC. Which while I'm on the topic of the jet, this is another gaping hole in the storyline. Private jets have to submit passenger manifests, and their itineraries, to arriving destinations and what time their aircraft will be leaving. It's not like a Walmart parking lot, the jet just can't be sitting out there on the runway past the time they said they would depart. In these days of terrorism and drug cartels, Homeland Security and TSA would have been all over the NE jet, and searching for a bunch of random people that were MIA. Also, they were allegedly going to take Nikki to a hospital. The airport where the hospital is would be wondering where this anticipated private jet and its patient were, the ambulance would be waiting. And, the cherry on top of the sundae, would be that the family of the GVN all traveled without one member of the elite NE security team to even carry their bags. Ridiculous. They could have skipped about 30 minutes of today's show that featured Billy, Nate, and Audra walking around all befuddled and bewildered, while all they really did was bounce off the walls of each others egos, IMO.
  7. Got a feeling this Maury Povich "Who's Your Momma?" storyline is going to include the usual JG rapid wrap up of its villian element, Auntie Jordan. How long til Claire gets promoted to the NE corporate suite as COO, or chief granddaughter in charge? Sorry, Faith, but your college degree will not help you get more traction in the NE work world than being a tragic Newman woman. Chuckled when Nick and Cole were wrestling with the front door, and the whole wall was shaking! Also, laughed at the way Cole said, they "burried" the baby, sounded more like "burrito" than "buried". Fuel up the corporate jet. Looks like we're gonna get to watch the Newman's all try to trauma bond with Claire for Christmas around Nick's hospital bed, while Adam will still be kicking rocks. Make it make sense, JG.
  8. My conclusion after this episode was that there is little difference between Kody and the Jett's philosophy. He alone gets to decide the dispersion of all assets. I have to speculate how complicit the TLC producers were in enabling his mindset? Did each wife sign their own contract with production? If so, there has to be a money trail. I'm getting the feeling from this episode that maybe Robyn isn't the only one wanting to edit what loudmouth Kody says.
  9. Gonna be hard for Robyn to be the HBIC now, that she's the last wife standing, lol. I have to wonder who Kody and she will spend their free time doing " psychological & spiritual inventories" on now? I think the two of them feeling they were vastly superior to the other 3 wives has been the glue that's held them together.
  10. I haven't watched this show in weeks, so I apologize if other posters have already concluded that Robyn and Kody are both fine with Christine, Janelle and Meri being consigned to lives of involuntary celibacy? This seems to be something that was not addressed in this entire episode, the idea that Robyn and Kody can meet each others' physical needs, yet the other wives are just supposed to wear the emotional equivalent of post modern chastity belts. How selfish are Robyn and Kody to expect these women to go along with this agenda? In this episode Kody looks more like a manical cult leader. I think Robyn knows now Kody will throw anybody under the bus to maintain his narcissistic high, including her. This episode really showed he will rob any woman of her property, self worth, an ability for sexual expression, and time. Robin knows her reign of "special" will end too at Kody's prerogative. IMO, that's what her tears represented, the fear that someday she's going to get the exact same treatment as she's signed off on, while watching what was handed out to her "Sister Wives" by King Baby Kody.
  11. Sorry to be the voice of dissent again today, but these scripts make no sense whatsoever to me anymore. Victor pontificates to Adam & Nick he wants his children to be able to work together @ NE. Then his next edict is if Victoria can't get on board, she can get lost. Nick then launches into his predictable anti-Adam tirade, while TGVN passively listens. Should Nick be evaluated as a case of early onset dementia, maybe? He's apparently forgotten Adam has more business education then him, that Adam saved his life, and also donated a kidney to his daughter. At this point the only conclusion I can come to is if Claire damaged Nikki's liver by drugging her, and Nikki requires a liver transplant, Nick and Victoria will side-eye Adam in the operating room, if he is the only possible donor. Victoria's "chat" with Nate, all about her angst. She is truly her father's daughter. Still, why do Victoria, Nick, and Adam even want to continue at NE since Big Daddy has told them he intends to remain in charge, which is just a veiled threat that he will be continuing to jerk them all around? They each have their own Newman name. They need to all tell Grampire "Adios," walk away, and create something with their own names.
  12. Again, it appeared today that JG has lost the plot when Abby and Ashley mused over the possible Tucker/Mamie collusion against Jill. Mamie told Tucker that whole thing was off, after Ashley had blubbered to her about her traumatic Paris honeymoon with Tucker. Are we expected to watch Ashley investigate a non existent plot line? All of the "Tucker, Tucker, Tucker" pearl clutching by everyone these days is the same plot treatment "Diane, Diane, Diane" got 6 months ago, that went nowhere. Anybody know when Phyllis is starting her court ordered community service? Josh, you reading?
  13. Victoria gets all up in her mom's face about colluding with Daddy Dearest, but she's really skipped the part where she first tells TGVN she is done. Then doofus Nick wittering on to Sharon that his "dad needs his help." The guy that was gaslighting all of his kids while running NE, needs HIS help? GC's barista/psychotherapist should have told Nick, "No, actually you're the one who needs help, Nick. And while youre at it, Christians' nanny could use a day off." So now, fortuitously, Nikki has given Claire everything needed to work out a plot she couldn't have ever executed without Nikki's expert intervention and assistance. As I have already said in an earlier post, Claire's face appears much older to me than that of a young "Oh, gosh" ingenue, and so do her vocalizations. Just hoping when Nikki is kidnapped by Claire, Victor lets his crackerjack security team try to locate her, and do the hostage extraction. That NE jet might be sitting on an Oregon airport runway for years, if the NE security team's past performances can be predictive of future successes.
  14. While I wasn't sad to see in the previews Claire trying to bury a hypodermic in Nikki's neck, I would say (unless JG fills in a lot of blanks in the storyline next week) there hasn't been any prior foreshadowing as to why Claire would be going all HAM psycho in a corporate Single White Female way. Also, this character was presented as an inexperienced young ingenue that Nikki was going to be mentoring, but Claire seems to be looking older to me in every one of her subsequent scenes. No worries, just another villian like Stitch, Ashton, Jeremy, and Cameron that will never be fully explained, and quickly dispatched with per JG's usual m/o.
  15. Strange how Nina was waiting to be updated on Chance's condition while Elena was giving Sharon a hallway update. HIPAA violation, much? Guess Victoria doesn't get the "try to call or text someone first" strategy. Instead she takes to running around all of the watering holes in GC, frantically looking for Nate. Because, where else would someone be on this show, besides out somewhere, having a drink? No one ever goes home just to process anything, do they?
  16. The crazy thing about Nate getting his walking papers after Victor's dementia ruse, was ALL of them knew Nate was booted from CW for being disloyal to his OWN family. They all knew Nate wasn't trustworthy from the get-go. The dementia storyline was sold on the premises that Victor would be learning which members of HIS family were loyal. Another massive derail by JG. Also, will Victoria be held accountable for an inappropriate relationship that was based on her holding more power in the company, then Nate? I mean, I know Nate is loathsome, but the only reason he hooked up with her was because he thought it would advance his career, and she more or less co-signed his delusions. She showed exceedingly poor judgement as a CEO, if she wasn't a nepo baby, in the real world, she would have been fired. I am wishing Nate goes HAM, sues NE for sexual harassment, and this whole corporate gaslighting crap.
  17. Someone asked upthread whether JG actually remembers his prior scripts, could Victor's alleged memory loss storyline maybe be JG's cry for help? Because glad as I was to see Nate get the boot today, VIctoria, Nick and Nikki sitting there passively watching Victor's chicanery unleashed on Adam and Nate, was repulsive to watch. You bring a family together, and test their loyalties by out and out deception, Grampire, cosigned by your wife and 2 of your kids? The only logical response for Nate after termination should be, "Thank yew!" I guess based on Lucy's wretched new haircolor and styling we're going to be seeing more of her. Wonder how long til she and her dad will be over at CW, creating a new video game to help teens navigate their parents divorce, while living in a penthouse? Does anyone else think the actress playing Chloe has had her lips plumped up to balance out her chipmunk cheeks? She looked stranger to me than her usual strange today.
  18. ITA, MsMalin. The scene with baby Aria handsdown beat all the faux corporate intrigues and dysfunctional families and couples we've been tortured with by JG for too many months. I'm sorry, but I failed to get the scene where Adam was honestly expressing concern for his father, and Nick and Victoria were side-eyeing him. They know Victor is faking, as I understand the storyline. They should be giving Victor strange looks for continuing to carry out this charade on Adam, even if they despise Adam. Personally, I think in this day and age, Victor's manipulative narcissistic behavior would be seen as toxic, pathological, and meeting every criteria of him deserving an in depth psychiatric evaluation. Victoria, Nikki, and Nick co-signing the continued gaslighting of Adam like this makes them equally ill. Just my opinion, a very sick storyline.
  19. Due to complete boredom, I kept nodding off during today's episode. I did wonder during the scenes with Tucker & Ashley, Kyle & Billy, and finally Nick & Sally..why are all of their dialogs so juvenile? Adults don't discuss things like in the lines the actors had to deliver in today's scenes. Everyone sounded like they were in the high school cafeteria. The lack of any emotional complexity and nuance in these scenes really says volumes about JG.
  20. Skipped today's episode as quick as I understood it was going to be JG's equivalent of "The Way They Were." Show comes during naps' primetimes for me. If I'm going to have to deal with "flashbacks," my own dreams are more photogenic than anything Y&R has recently offered up.
  21. OMG, Tucker & Ashley "back to black," I guess it's a memorial service for their marriage? Resurrected Steve Jobs meets menopausal Elizabeth Holmes. Note to JG, don't script any more scenes featuring Mamie and Nate 1:1. This viewer was so distracted by trying to decide which one is the worst actor, whatever plot content they were trying to deliver, totally escaped me.
  22. Hey, looks like Ashley will be playing "Right Eye" to Nikki's "Left Eye," based on the coif she was sporting today. Anybody want a set of aging blonde bookends? Yes, Gam2, her makeup was definitely applied with a heavy hand, unless she decided to get 2 woolly caterpillars for pets, and home them on her forehead. So Kyle gets Audra's perspective on "Men As Useful Tools 2.0," and is he thinking she's going to think he's too special for the same approach? Beginning to think Kyle's hair is being blown up by the gas escaping from his overinflated ego. Danny, maybe endless "chances" for your tour roadies has worked out, but they are only needed to move your equipment around. Phyllis has already shown you many times in the past that she can shift more than the guitars in your life. Portugal must be kind of hard on marriages, based on the outcomes of Heather & Cricket-now thinking GC is somehow better turf for love liaisons. And returning for a Wisconsin winter, no less! IMO, Nick needs to walk away from the scheming dysfunctional people he's previously thought of as parents, now that he's caught on to their sickening charade.
  23. So at this point the GVN pontificating about "One will betray him," like he is Jesus at the Last Supper is on my last nerve. How will Victor ever know the remaining two just couldn't get their knives sharpened fast enough? Clearly "the betrayer" should be the heir to NE, as the most adept ruthless psychopath, like Victor. IMO, the remaining two anointed "loyalty winners" in this game of familial emotional lotto Victor is playing (with his willing handmaiden "Left Eye" Nikki) need to walk away from both of them, and never look back. The only justification I can deduce about this wretched storyline is JG got advance notice from the Daytime Emmy promoters that there will be a new award category this year: "Best Portrayal of a Dysfunctional and Toxic Family in a Daytime Soap."
  24. I don't know why JG has needed to rush to a plot with the Newman spawn all embracing the conclusion Victor is cognitively declining. Sometimes the behaviors he is showing can simply be the result of complications from medications mixed with OTC products. Isn't Nate still a doctor? There are many "soft," non invasive, casual mental status assessments he could do with Victor being none the wiser. As a doctor, Nate should also be able to determine if Victor is gaslighting them. Doctors do that everyday to detect factitious disorders. It is known to be a sign of a psychiatric disorder called "pseudodementia." I find nothing entertaining about any of it.
  25. First of all, the whole concept of Nikki "Left Eye" mentoring any woman (especially college grads) is ridiculous. She is old enough to be Audra & Claire's grandmother. Her character is known for being a lone wolf alpha female. The only thing she would be capable of grooming anyone for is to be "The Bride Of Nicky" and he doesn't even work at NE anymore. This attempt of Nikki's to morph into the "earth mother" of NE is going to go badly, when either Audra and/or Claire eventually turn on her like the raptors did, with the staff who thought they had everything under control at Jurassic Park. Also, is JG so cheap or lacking in imagination that an interview for an upper level corporate position occurs in a restaurant/bar? Is the show too cheap to even have another basic office? Maybe it's best the interview took place in Society. It could be part of orienting new employees that all NE and other corporate entities only do any "work" in the localities of coffee shops and gin mills. Also, I want this storyline of "Sally's Angst" to have ended about a month ago. It makes no sense. Sally, a character formerly portrayed as immensely creative and impulsive, is now presented as having an excruciating case of emotional constipation regarding Adam and Nick. IMO this storyline is toxic, bloated crap that needs to be moved along. Maybe an enema?
