Having worked with this population, I find most of them have good verbal skills. They tend to be talkers. But it is hard for them to put what they say into action.

I found it very curious when Meri stated that she had $40,000 of "her own money". How does that work with everyone supposedly working to support each other and all of the children? And planning for their eventual retirements? Also, the continued emphasis on the cat fishing obliviates the point that she was looking for a way out of her polygamous marriage. I find her quite deceptive, and the rest of them never really seemed to get to the point with her. I also feel a good deal of her behavior is encouraged and enabled by the producers of the show.
