  1. Were Heather and Daniel still too under the influence of their post coital glow to appreciate that (if they had the slightest sense of decency and propriety) they would have tendered their resignations at CW? "Don't want to hurt Lily," would include them appreciating that flashing their lying gobs in front of Lily everyday at work would also be hurtful. No, these entitled twats expect that in addition to dealing with their betrayal, Lily should decide about the continuation of their employment too. That's calling adding insult to injury, IMO. If the police know who made the 911 call, why has not one Newman been busted yet for obstruction of justice, for Jordan being locked in that cell while Victor reveled in another one of his sadistic revenge fantasies?
  2. I posted a while back that all of this could be the hallucinations of an aged Victor, while he is sitting on a bench with an aide (Nick), who is waiting to return him to the asylum after a day trip to town. As for watching Claire's dream "today," I spared myself the nightmare. It would have advanced her storyline a lot more if JG could have been arsed to have shown us some of the time she lived with Jordan prior to coming to GC to commence their revenge plot against the Newmans. I can only assume this writer thought nothing of wasting the audience's time again today.
  3. I can get why Connor is OCD, and making repetitive movements with his hoodies, it's the only stable factor in his life that he or I can isolate. Chelsea blowing smoke about he's the "mostest" of the most, they're gonna get through this as a family, only to dispatch him off with Adam, so she can have her breakdown du jour. Connor knows his Mom is coo coo for Cocoa Puffs. Then Adam with his foot in his mouth, "I know how you feel," which anyone would immediately know can't be true. Nikki going on about Auntie Jordan reminded me of exactly how Nikki used to "nose up" when she used talk to, and about Diane. Claire "of the flat affect" is IMO a device to make the actress either appear younger, or act out the impression that her lifelong brainwashing isn't resolved enough, for any emotional reactions to kick in yet. The whole babysitting gig while she figures out what she wants to "do" for a career is ridiculous. Doesn't she need figure out who she wants to "be" first?
  4. Is there such a thing as Soap Opera Rapid Trauma Adjustment (SORTA)? How can Claire be "well" after a lifetime of being brainwashed, while Conner's OCD has him still tugging on his hoodie strings? I am sorry, but if Claire becomes Hairyson's nanny, I will be noping out on watching it. It was one thing for me to hear abstractly about Claire's dysfunctional upbringing. To watch a vulnerable child put in the care of a woman whom I perceive as still profoundly mentally ill, will be triggering to me, and IMO, I suspect for a lot of other viewers as well.
  5. The writer JG is so lacking in creativity, that one day when Victor and Nick go to check on Auntie J, all they'll find is one of the fingers or toes that she self-amputated getting out of that cell. And BTW, did Victor have to make Nick his accomplice in not turning Jordan over to the authorities? Doesn't he pay his security enough for them to assist him with all his law-breaking tasks?
  6. This scheme of Victor's to bribe Jordan out of GC & the Newman family's lives puts him in the driver's seat of aiding and abetting a murderess evade arrest. Didn't people die in the fire Jordan set in the jail? Part of the storyline surrounding that fire was Victor awaiting news about Jordan's fate, while the authorities in Oregon sifted through the ashes looking. Michael needs to be disbarred for assisting his #1 client by being complicit of this obstruction of justice.
  7. Thought the very same thing about the fire at Victoria's house. I can't remember seeing anything there since Nick bounced Ashton Locke's head off the fireplace. Kudos to JG for explaining why we won't see that set again. Guess there's no way he could have sent the house to boarding school, or to tend to a ailing out of town relative. I'm still watching and trying for the sake of the years I've spent watching this show (sunk cost fallacy) but it's getting more difficult. No character, corporation, or couple is ever fleshed out enough anymore for me to develop the emotional investment I need to feel anything, before the conclusion of any particular storyline has been force fed to me. Just my opinion.
  8. She's probably begged to be written off of this "shew of shews." She might want an actual acting career, unlike the majority of female characters, that lost all other offers and hope, and grace our televisions daily. She saw what could be her future, and it wasn't a pretty sight.
  9. A new theme for Sharon and Lily should be "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus. With a verse added to the effect that they can handle a business, without any of the nepo boys help!
  10. I hope Audra runs into "just another notch on her belt" Kyle while she's there, lol! I am weary of how everyone in GC feels a need to run their opinions or interference on Audra's love interests. It's like she only exists now that none of them are trashing Diane or Sally anymore. What a pack of pompous gasbags they all are. Sharon and the Abbotts all favored Allie (remember her?) for Noah over Audra. Next, no one thought she was right for Kyle. Now, they are all into it up to their armpits about her relationship with Tucker vs. Ashley. They all need to either at most get a life, or at least find real jobs to keep themselves otherwise occupied, IMO.
  11. The OCD diagnosis for Connor seems suspect. Whoever diagnosed him needs to take a trip to GC, and see how all the adults there obsessively go to the same places on a daily basis for coffee, lunch, and dinner and run in to the same people everyday. The GCAC is the only place to stay for those lacking a family home. Next, the businesses should be observed for the same people compulsively switching in and out of CEO positions. Lastly, throw in the interpersonal relationships, which seem to just rotate all the same people, making the same repetitive mistakes. Maybe then Connor's diagnostician might consider that children live what they've learned?
  12. I agree that the renaming of Audra with the name of a currently controversial celebrity to be problematic in terms of the site just recently shutting down all the Royals forums. It has always felt to me like the insertion of a name, simply for the sake or shock value of doing so. Nothing in the way this actress physically looks, has been written in the past, or now, even merits the comparison, even by a long stretch of my imagination. I think the actress playing Audra is one of the best new cast members. She is not ham-handed, she doesn't chew the scenery. Her hair, makeup and wardrobe luckily seemed to have escaped the fate of being made to look as garish or clownlike, as some of the her female co-stars.
  13. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I thought show is prepping us for "Who killed Tucker?" Talking in bed with Audra about their "future," Crazy Ashley busting in his room to wait for him, his lying to Audra about that represent a foreshadowing, that seems to be pushing his character in that direction to me.
  14. CAW! CAW! Chancellor Abbott Winters. Where all the vultures come home to roost, lol.
  15. Regarding Nikki: the make-up artist that's doing her blusher needs rehab. The way her face looks to me now is borderline Heath Ledger "Joker." JG, please don't send her to any AA meetings looking like that! The other participants would never be able to remain sober after taking a gander at her. I had a G & T myself to numb my horror.
  16. Thanks so much for posting this. All of the "couples" or "throuples" currently being highlighted on the show have less chemistry than a perfume that was never created by Jabot, IMO. As to the corporate "entities" JG is trying to hold our viewer interest with, let's just call him out for what they really are: shell companies.
  17. They were fired for being honest with Grampire and Nikki, c'mon you know that's not a trait the Newman family values! It made it so crystal clear they were only "hired-ins," and would never be able to mesh with the members of the ruling dynasty. That Sharon really figured out quickly GC business doesn't get done in a corporate suites, heh? Guess running Crimson Lights all those years got her the equivalent of an MBA. Maybe Audra should consider a gig as a barista...and can we also expect Abby to soon redirect the CW board meetings to Society? I missed you all so much, so happy to finally be back, and reading all your great posts!
  18. I am also long over the entire Tucker plot line. His character was a novelty at first, but it hasn't worn very well. He's become as predictable lately as the bedroom decor at the GCAC. I have repurposed the Abbott family-Tucker characters as now being the adults from that ancient TV show mostly about kids, "Leave It To Beaver." Ashley looks like a grown, messed up version of Mrs. Cleaver, Billy is the Beaver, still as clueless and tone deaf as ever, Jack is "always be the best big brother," Wally. Tucker lately is coming off to me as a very much aged Eddie Haskell type.
  19. Of course Nikki is to blame for Seth's relapse! As a raging narcissist, anything that happens MUST be about her. Had Nikki ever really worked a 12 step program, that insufferable attitude of hers would have been the first thing to go. This show has lost me with this AA storyline, the lack of any well developed corporate entities, or compelling couples with chemistry. Glacade facade, Jabot just blows, Old man Newman Enterprises, CW whaaa?, Cassidy tragedy. The couples on the commercials are more interesting than the ones trying to catch a spark in GC. IMO, it's all as unimaginable to me as JG winning a daytime Emmy for writing.
  20. I'm hoping that since Claire got to go to Oregon to get closure with her Auntie Jordan, that Victoria & Cole will take her to an allergist on her next day pass. The bags under Claire's eyes today were almost as big as the ones her G-Ma Nikki hides her flasks in.
  21. Watching today left me feeling that Sally and Adam now totally lack the "pizzazz" they had in their initial coupling. It felt to me like the actors had gotten classes from Sharon, on how to continue thru their lives with some simulated representations of themselves standing in for the people they used to be.
