  1. The security at GCAC is probably Victor's security team's day shift crew. They moonlight all night at GCAC. Could exhaustion explain why they're always so incompetent?
  2. Mariah Audra Lily Sally Have to admit Lily's the only one I remember carrying groceries. The rest seem to rotate all their meals at Crimson Lites, Society, or the GCAC.
  3. One more time, Adam intoning today that Connor has OCD, with the gravitas usually reserved for terminal illnesses, while Claire waltzes around blithely announcing she will be living her "best new life" unafraid of her brainwashing homicidal Auntie J, was ridiculous. I think she will either be killed off by her Aunt, or end up as the Newman family's own version of the Manchurian candidate. Then the DID of Ashley is equally inane. She switched outside Tucker's hotel room and wonders "Why am I here?" and then sees her brother and sister, but fails to ask for their assistance? I'm not asking her to have insight into her DID, but most people might consider their confusion to have an organic basis (cardiac or neuro, to name a couple) and ask their siblings for help, wouldn't they? No wonder the actors scripted as angry seem to be convincing, they must be projecting their true feelings. They are probably as mad about these stupid scripts as I am.
  4. I vote for Abby. Lauren couldn't make it unless Michael carried her backpack, IMO.
  5. I found Claire and Kyle's casual "chat" about her childhood backstory very off putting. Like stuff that happened to her happens to lots of people? Umm...no. Jack's scene telling Tucker, "I've been coming here my entire life." Yes, you have Jack. You just didn't say it's almost every day of your life. Glad to have it confirmed that Nikki (in her own estimation) can cause catastrophes. Global warming? Something Nikki apparently did one day. Covid? Nikki. Inflation? Nikki Newman, folks. And it makes her want to drink! Immediately. My eyes were rolling back so much today at her, that now I can watch my own back. She is clueless that it's her narcissism and need for immediate gratification she should examine, if she really wants to stop drinking. And both Victor and Jack cave in, and enable Nikki's enormous sense of entitlement every time. IMO, it's nauseating.
  6. I have a psychology degree as well, and worked in inpatient psychiatric settings for 30 years. I find it extremely upsetting to watch the treatment of any of Connor's, Ashley's or Claire's current illnesses, as portrayed on the show. I don't expect viewers to end up fully educated about the different illnesses here, but shouldn't the treatment options at least be explored on the severity of their diagnoses? If the 3 of them walked into a psychiatric assessment center, Connor would be sent home on meds, with a therapy referral. Ashley would be admitted, because her DID has affected her baseline functioning. Claire, IMO, likely the sickest of all, would at the very least be getting daily therapy sessions, if not admitted. She was taken out of treatment to "trap" Jordan. Since then there has been no evidence of her still getting any therapy at all. She would be needing therapy on an ongoing basis for at least several years. All of these characters have serious problems, that are being handled in an extremely cavalier way by JG. Maybe he could use a little treatment himself? That said, when Chelsea was telling and selling Connor about the Maryland treatment center and said, "There are adults there that REALLY know what they're doing!" I kind of thought he might be better off there, than at home in GC, where none of the adults seem to ever know what they're doing.
  7. Were Heather and Daniel still too under the influence of their post coital glow to appreciate that (if they had the slightest sense of decency and propriety) they would have tendered their resignations at CW? "Don't want to hurt Lily," would include them appreciating that flashing their lying gobs in front of Lily everyday at work would also be hurtful. No, these entitled twats expect that in addition to dealing with their betrayal, Lily should decide about the continuation of their employment too. That's calling adding insult to injury, IMO. If the police know who made the 911 call, why has not one Newman been busted yet for obstruction of justice, for Jordan being locked in that cell while Victor reveled in another one of his sadistic revenge fantasies?
  8. I posted a while back that all of this could be the hallucinations of an aged Victor, while he is sitting on a bench with an aide (Nick), who is waiting to return him to the asylum after a day trip to town. As for watching Claire's dream "today," I spared myself the nightmare. It would have advanced her storyline a lot more if JG could have been arsed to have shown us some of the time she lived with Jordan prior to coming to GC to commence their revenge plot against the Newmans. I can only assume this writer thought nothing of wasting the audience's time again today.
  9. I can get why Connor is OCD, and making repetitive movements with his hoodies, it's the only stable factor in his life that he or I can isolate. Chelsea blowing smoke about he's the "mostest" of the most, they're gonna get through this as a family, only to dispatch him off with Adam, so she can have her breakdown du jour. Connor knows his Mom is coo coo for Cocoa Puffs. Then Adam with his foot in his mouth, "I know how you feel," which anyone would immediately know can't be true. Nikki going on about Auntie Jordan reminded me of exactly how Nikki used to "nose up" when she used talk to, and about Diane. Claire "of the flat affect" is IMO a device to make the actress either appear younger, or act out the impression that her lifelong brainwashing isn't resolved enough, for any emotional reactions to kick in yet. The whole babysitting gig while she figures out what she wants to "do" for a career is ridiculous. Doesn't she need figure out who she wants to "be" first?
  10. Is there such a thing as Soap Opera Rapid Trauma Adjustment (SORTA)? How can Claire be "well" after a lifetime of being brainwashed, while Conner's OCD has him still tugging on his hoodie strings? I am sorry, but if Claire becomes Hairyson's nanny, I will be noping out on watching it. It was one thing for me to hear abstractly about Claire's dysfunctional upbringing. To watch a vulnerable child put in the care of a woman whom I perceive as still profoundly mentally ill, will be triggering to me, and IMO, I suspect for a lot of other viewers as well.
  11. The writer JG is so lacking in creativity, that one day when Victor and Nick go to check on Auntie J, all they'll find is one of the fingers or toes that she self-amputated getting out of that cell. And BTW, did Victor have to make Nick his accomplice in not turning Jordan over to the authorities? Doesn't he pay his security enough for them to assist him with all his law-breaking tasks?
  12. This scheme of Victor's to bribe Jordan out of GC & the Newman family's lives puts him in the driver's seat of aiding and abetting a murderess evade arrest. Didn't people die in the fire Jordan set in the jail? Part of the storyline surrounding that fire was Victor awaiting news about Jordan's fate, while the authorities in Oregon sifted through the ashes looking. Michael needs to be disbarred for assisting his #1 client by being complicit of this obstruction of justice.
  13. Thought the very same thing about the fire at Victoria's house. I can't remember seeing anything there since Nick bounced Ashton Locke's head off the fireplace. Kudos to JG for explaining why we won't see that set again. Guess there's no way he could have sent the house to boarding school, or to tend to a ailing out of town relative. I'm still watching and trying for the sake of the years I've spent watching this show (sunk cost fallacy) but it's getting more difficult. No character, corporation, or couple is ever fleshed out enough anymore for me to develop the emotional investment I need to feel anything, before the conclusion of any particular storyline has been force fed to me. Just my opinion.
  14. She's probably begged to be written off of this "shew of shews." She might want an actual acting career, unlike the majority of female characters, that lost all other offers and hope, and grace our televisions daily. She saw what could be her future, and it wasn't a pretty sight.
  15. A new theme for Sharon and Lily should be "Flowers" by Miley Cyrus. With a verse added to the effect that they can handle a business, without any of the nepo boys help!
  16. I hope Audra runs into "just another notch on her belt" Kyle while she's there, lol! I am weary of how everyone in GC feels a need to run their opinions or interference on Audra's love interests. It's like she only exists now that none of them are trashing Diane or Sally anymore. What a pack of pompous gasbags they all are. Sharon and the Abbotts all favored Allie (remember her?) for Noah over Audra. Next, no one thought she was right for Kyle. Now, they are all into it up to their armpits about her relationship with Tucker vs. Ashley. They all need to either at most get a life, or at least find real jobs to keep themselves otherwise occupied, IMO.
  17. The OCD diagnosis for Connor seems suspect. Whoever diagnosed him needs to take a trip to GC, and see how all the adults there obsessively go to the same places on a daily basis for coffee, lunch, and dinner and run in to the same people everyday. The GCAC is the only place to stay for those lacking a family home. Next, the businesses should be observed for the same people compulsively switching in and out of CEO positions. Lastly, throw in the interpersonal relationships, which seem to just rotate all the same people, making the same repetitive mistakes. Maybe then Connor's diagnostician might consider that children live what they've learned?
  18. I agree that the renaming of Audra with the name of a currently controversial celebrity to be problematic in terms of the site just recently shutting down all the Royals forums. It has always felt to me like the insertion of a name, simply for the sake or shock value of doing so. Nothing in the way this actress physically looks, has been written in the past, or now, even merits the comparison, even by a long stretch of my imagination. I think the actress playing Audra is one of the best new cast members. She is not ham-handed, she doesn't chew the scenery. Her hair, makeup and wardrobe luckily seemed to have escaped the fate of being made to look as garish or clownlike, as some of the her female co-stars.
  19. I mentioned a few weeks ago that I thought show is prepping us for "Who killed Tucker?" Talking in bed with Audra about their "future," Crazy Ashley busting in his room to wait for him, his lying to Audra about that represent a foreshadowing, that seems to be pushing his character in that direction to me.
  20. CAW! CAW! Chancellor Abbott Winters. Where all the vultures come home to roost, lol.
