  1. True, but the conditions are a bit similar and Sonny was focusing mostly on finding a way to be there for the loved one in the final weeks and not regretting it I think the general feeling here is that Brit's Huntington's result was probably tampered with, probably by Victor, right? Though the various symptoms seem concerning, it's possible it's stress and psychosomatic if she doesn't really have the condition. Or the result could be real since the actress is leaving. If the actress is leaving, I'll bet she'll go in search of a cure or slowdown of the disease and won't die at this point
  2. Michael does know; Willow finally told him after she learned her cancer was in Stage 4
  3. In the US, TNT has acquired the series and will premiere the first season on Monday, January 23 at 9pm ET http://thefutoncritic.com/news/2022/12/07/tnt-to-premiere-the-new-scripted-original-series-the-lazarus-project-on-monday-january-23-2023-at-900pm-748315/20221207tnt01/
  4. This Deadline article indicates pulled shows could show up on 3rd party FAST services or whoever the producing studio wants to shop it to https://tvline.com/2022/12/14/westworld-the-nevers-move-free-streaming-services/ Clearly, this doesn’t help you with the service you are paying for. Do you only watch HBO shows through HBO Max or do you also have the linear channel? I got access to HBO Max as part of my getting HBO on my cable. I had intended to use Max to not only watch the Max originals but also older HBO shows and newer ones I didn’t want to record to watch now but maybe eventually watch at a later time, like later seasons of Westworld. I guess that’s not a fool-proof plan at this point
  5. This show is yet another HBO title being removed from streaming service HBO Max. Urgh. It’s not clear when exactly it will be removed or if it already has been. Good thing I recorded the season on my DVR https://deadline.com/2022/12/raised-by-wolves-the-time-travelers-wife-among-other-titles-being-removed-from-hbo-max-as-warner-bros-discovery-lines-up-fast-plans-1235199433/
  6. Sonny helped Liesel with the emotional fallout of Britt’s illness but he shouldn’t have been eavesdropping on Nina and Liesel
  7. A final (for now) 2-part chapter to be released in January on Lifetime https://variety.com/2022/music/news/surviving-r-kelly-final-chapter-trailer-release-date-1235461135/
  8. It looks like it will probably be Spring of 2023
  9. Winner is Bryce of course. One of the country singers was likely to win Don't they usually have a runner up?
  10. Brayden out at 5th. A bit of a surprise Omar out at 4th
  11. Season 35 of American Experience starts in January and PBS has a preview of the first 3 films The films are "The Lie Detector", about the polygraph machine, Jan 3; "Zora Neale Hurston", about the influential author, Jan 17; "Ruthless: Monopoly's Secret History", about the game, Feb 20
  12. HBO Max is removing Westworld and The Nevers from its service, essentially canceling the latter, even though it sounds like the 2nd half of its first season is in the can and may be seen elsewhere. We pay $15 a month for HBO/HBO Max and they can't even keep some of their own shows on the service. The Deadline article seems to suggest we may see the shows on another service in the company down the road, like an ad-supported streaming service, but for now, this allows the company to not pay residuals. I understand canceling stuff, but removing it is a sucky thing for both the folks who created and worked on the programs and for subscribers who likely assumed the programming they will eventually watch will remain on the streaming service of its parent https://deadline.com/2022/12/westworld-the-nevers-pulled-hbo-max-canceled-1235197233/
  13. My summary of the latest Doctor Who Magazine issue, out this month. I've summarized Davies' showrunner column and Scott Handcock's production diary and noted a few other things in the issue. Put behind spoiler space for length
  14. Definitely bad for subscribers. I dropped off watching after the first season but I had hoped to maybe catch up later on the subsequent seasons. Guess not though. I guess $15 a month isn’t enough to get them to keep their shows available on streaming. Hopefully they’ll find some way to let subscribers have access to at least the HBO original shows they’ve removed, even if through an ad-supported service. Maybe this nonsense will stop once they’ve substantially paid down their 3 billion in debt they got saddled with in the merger
  15. Which is a really sucky thing to do to cast and writers, especially for a 4 season show
  16. Favorite performances of the night: Morgan, Total Eclipse of the Heart, though sometimes drowned out by the music and choir Morgan, 2nd song, I didn’t catch the title Bodie, 2nd song, didn’t catch the title. Much more interesting than his first song. The lighting was a little weird at times; he looked like a hologram here and there Omar, 2nd song Somebody to Love, though the lyrics on the video board in back were distracting Man, the 2 country singers are largely boring me, but at least Bryce’s second performance was upbeat. Still one the country singers will likely win unless they split the vote
  17. Yeah, the Deadline suggests end of the year financial stuff. They earlier canceled Batgirl and removed other things from the service as part of tax write offs from the merger but had a deadline to get it done. But Deadline suggests The Nevers Season 1B, and Westworld, can show up elsewhere in the company, like a FAST service (ad-supported), which seems to belie not wanting to pay residuals
  18. Here’s the link to the Deadline story https://deadline.com/2022/12/westworld-the-nevers-pulled-hbo-max-canceled-1235197233/ They are even removing Westworld that was just canceled after 4 seasons. In what world does that make sense? The Deadline article wasn’t clear to me if Season 1B had finished with filming, though it seemed to suggest it can show up on some other platform in the company, like a FAST service
  19. HBO Max is removing Westworld from its service in what may be part of end of the year financial review. I mean, HBO Max is a streaming service for HBO shows and booting an HBO show. Such head shaking decisions. Supposedly, it and other pulled shows could end up on some other part of the company including a FAST service (with commercials) https://deadline.com/2022/12/westworld-the-nevers-pulled-hbo-max-canceled-1235197233/

I'm recording it and hope to get to at least the first episode during the holidays
  21. My cable had problems when I recorded this so I didn’t see how things were resolved with the baby. How was that case resolved?
  22. Who else but Dolly Parton would write a rock song to “earn” her place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? I totally love and respect that woman, even though I’m not really a country fan, though I loved her country pop stuff in the 70s (along with John Denver and Kenny Rogers’ music)
  23. I wasn’t sure initially, but I started to dig their interaction as the scenes went on. Heather might be biting off more than she can chew with Ryan and putting herself in danger given he’s a serial killer and all, but she’s unpredictable and has also killed I keep laughing when someone visits Heather and the guards leave them alone. She’s a killer and unbalanced, why are you leaving people alone with her?
  24. That and a late start date doesn’t bode well for this show. CBS shows that start in the Spring don’t typically get renewed
