  1. Where do you get that it's the real idol? First off, as far as I know based on show history, unless they explicitly say so, there is only one idol at each camp. John Rocker found the idol on the Coyoba side. When John Rocker and Keith found their idols, they were in a bag and I think there was a note in the bag. And the hashtag "#ImmunityIdol" thing is displayed on the screen. With Dale.... nothing. If it was an actual Idol I would assume that the show would have at least indicated to viewers that it was the Idol.
  2. There was a food reward where they could have eaten or gotten blankets and they chose blankets. Frankly, I dislike seeing the food rewards, the contestants always end up looking disgusting and sometimes we are treated to too much information. I still remember the scene of Colby frantically running around to find a place he could drop his pants before the diarrhea came. I don't see why production has to make sure they have enough rice. There should be a huge cost. I'd love to see Jeff say "you have to vote someone out, right now." I dislike everyone on the blue team except for Natalie so I'd be perfectly OK with that.
  3. I didn't understand Jon and Jaclyn's reasoning to split their votes between Kelly and Dale in case Dale had an idol. They split them and it was 2 votes each for 3 people. They effectively gave Keith all the power. Why? I guess Keith could have been in on it with them but if so it would have been nice if we had actually seen a conversation. And why Kelly instead of Dale? Unless they figure Dale is an easy goat to boot later. Or maybe they thought Dale would use an idol on himself and not Kelly since they thought he thought he was more disliked. Shut up Josh and Reed with your practically crying about how unfair it was you had no food. Why not look in the forest for anything? Why not try and kill those birds? If it's not allowed to kill birds, why not shoo off the birds and eat that dead fish they were eating?
  4. I like the idea of Bobbi Morse / Mockingbird. I just don't know if I like this actress. I find her the least attractive of all of the women on the show (May, Simmons, Skye, Raina). There's something very... elfin?... about her look. The squinty eyes, the pulled back hair, the pointy ears. I do like Lance Hunter, and think his reaction to Bobbi was hilarious. And I am not a Kyle MacLachlan fan, at all. I think he's a very overrated actor, and the worst part about him is the incredibly awful hair. He has had the same awful look in every single part he's played ever.

I must be a little dense. What was the point of getting the drug on the street? Just to create hysteria? He clearly wasn't going to make money off of it since people died. Then I get that he just wanted to kill everyone in Wayne Enterprises. Aren't there easier ways to kill people? Why put the drug on the street? He could have just skipped the street distribution part and went right to gassing the unsuspecting Wayne people and he would have succeeded. Liked everything about this episode except the continual adventures of the precocious Bruce Wayne. Just don't like this kid. Actor is terrible, he has a very wooden delivery. If that's how it's supposed to be written, it doesn't work for me. Me too. I was very surprised and confused at first.
  6. They should bring her over to B&B full time. She is wasted on Y&R. I loathed her during the Lynn Marie Latham days when she ate the entire show, but now under a different regime she is sadly trotted out just once a month as comic relief. She could eat all three Logan sisters for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then devour Hope for dessert.
  7. The Bobbi Morse in the comics was never a baddie. Will be interested to see if she's actually a bad bad or if she's a bad that's going to come over to the side of good. In the comics she was a SHIELD agent before she became an Avenger. Obviously the show plays a lot with the comics continuity, but still.
  8. Seriously? Caroline, let's meet in this deserted and isolated cabin to "work"? This show is way too much. There's been plenty of history of incest or quasi-incest on this show, but I find this one more disturbing than the past ones. Probably because I think Thorsten Kaye is disgusting, he oozes this creepy old sexual predator vibe.
  9. I do think Oliver is supposed to be a 5. In the first episode, he was stammering and stuttering . Didn't he indicate surprise that someone like Connor would be interested in him? Connor was clearly using him, but it was written that Oliver didn't care, he was just happy someone like Connor would be into him. I remember being irritated that there was one Asian character in the whole episode, and they made him out to be this stereotypical socially awkward nerd. And I agree that I was surprised to see he's still around. He knew he was being used, and yet he's still here. Regarding Keating's use of 1Ls, was there any indication that this is NOT her first year teaching? There was one time when she was talking with the dean and he said something about hiring her to something blahblahblah. I thought that could be interpreted to mean that this is her first year teaching at Middleton. Then again, Frank and Bonnie act differently, like they are used to dealing with law students. Perhaps she taught somewhere else before, or perhaps she had a group that just graduated after working with her for three years, so she needs a new group. What I'm curious about is how many years we will see these students as 1Ls. The flash forward scenes are only 4 months in the future, so it seems the entire season could be just one semester. That would imply each season is a semester, so we could conceivably get 6 seasons of this show before they address what happens when the students graduate.
  10. I find it inconceivable that two unarmed American law enforcement personnel would willingly enter the lair of a Colombian drug lord toting 18 and a half million dollars and several duffel bags. What was to stop the guy from just killing them as soon as they showed up and taking the money? Really ridiculous. They should have demanded a meeting on a neutral site and had snipers (Kono?) set up to protect them. They should have asked that Matt be brought to the meeting. As it is, I expect now that there will be repercussions. Surely whoever is left of Reyes' operation is going to take some action. They clearly know about Grace. Good job idiot Danny for putting her in danger for the rest of her life.
  11. Loved that woman. She was hilarious. The quick cuts between employees was very well done. I loved how every time it came back to her she was still yelling at Doucheface. The part where she accused him of looking at her "goods" was particularly funny. Viola Davis continues to be a powerhouse. Unless this show implodes or gets cancelled, I think the Emmy already has her name on it. She is a tour de force. Then again, I could be biased, I would have given her the Oscar for "The Help" over La Streep, who I thought was good but a bit of a caricature of Margaret Thatcher at times.
  12. By far my favourite episode of the series so far. Loved the op to steal that woman's stuff, with all the agents working together and with lots of moving pieces. Reminded me of the old Mission Impossible series. Loved the May vs May fight. It was amazing. I wonder if Ming Na Wen is really this skilled or if the fight was done with harnesses. My favourite was the finishing move where she slammed evil May's head into the table.
  13. I too was a bit underwhelmed by "Viola Davis' last nine words". I'm trying to figure out how Wes knew it was so important. The picture appeared to be a naked man from the neck down. The way Annalise talked ("why didn't you come to me earlier, did you think it would make me upset" or something like that, it makes it sound like Wes knew it was Sam. How would he know it was Sam? There was no head in the picture. Has he seen Sam naked before? Wouldn't the logical assumption be that it was the football player? If the explanation is that there are other photos, we'll surely they could have shown her scrolling through them. That was Elizabeth Perkins? From "Big"? Granted it's been years, but I didn't recognise her at all. She was blonder and bigger. I thought Marren resembled Kathleen Turner. I am loving Frank's nicknames. Hair Gel, Doucheface, Prom Queen and Wallflower. I wonder what they call Wes. I like Michaela's nickname of Butt Boy.
  14. I too thought "grinder" was a New England term. In New York, it seems to be "hero" everywhere. In Philly, it's "hoagie". Most everywhere else, it seems to be "sub" (hence... "Lunchtime. I'm going to Subway to get a sub.") I do agree that it's "yee-roh" if you use a Greek pronunciation, but many say "jai-roh" like Martinez did. I've even heard "gee-roh" with a hard G. I don't think people will ever agree on the pronunciation. It's like brooshetta vs. broosketta (Americanised format seems to be shetta) and my personal pet peeve, new-klee-er vs. newk-yew-ler. Thinking about the cuts from the opening monologue, did they also cut out "now you know about as much as I do"? Because we really don't. In the episode where Abe injected him with the stuff that killed him, we were wondering what happened to his clothes. Abe must have known, because he was standing right there. In the next episode, we saw in the scene where he got hit by the truck on the bridge that his body fades away when he dies. Including clothes and all personal effects. Where do they go? Do they just fade away and disappear into nothingness? In the first episode, didn't the pocketwatch survive since he wasn't holding it? So anything in direct contact with him disappears but stuff he's not touching stays? Why? What if Abe was holding his hand as he faded out? Would Abe fade out too? Seems like it'd be good if they could provide a better explanation. As it is, I'm assuming this is why he doesn't carry a cell phone. Because if he dies he'd just have to keep replacing them. Still wondering if they have made a conscious decision to stop killing him.
  15. I love that Drew is basically claiming that he was edited poorly. At least that's what I think he's trying to say. He's trying to sound all profound and intellectual and in the end, doesn't make a lot of sense. Reminds me of a line from one of those toolish Average Joes. He was this bookish and nerdy dude trying to impress the beautiful princess, and he said something like "it is the simplicity of your complexity that is the catalyst of my infatuation." She swooned, but probably had no idea what he was saying. She was just impressed by the three dollar words. I feel like Drew is trying to sound just as mysterious and cryptic. He fails. Can't edit words that actually came out of his mouth. He thought he was the kingpin, brazenly declared that Kelly was going home because he decreed it and all the guys would vote with him, didn't care if she heard, didn't care if everyone knew he threw the challenge. On top of that, the episode where he said "you know, I'm a famous model" and where he whined that he was the only one building the shelter, when Jon was sitting right next to him helping just as much. Probably one of the bigger self-absorbed delusional idiots to ever appear on the show.
  16. From previous episodes, most of the tribe had issues with Drew and his laziness. They said all he did was sleep and then he refused to help with the leaves and said that he's not a weaver and then went and took a nap. He was visibly pissed when the tribe traded the fishing gear for the flint, he was shaking his head in the stands when they said they needed the fire. I'm thinking he just didn't get along with most of the women. Julie was the other thrower. It seems the people who did the swim weren't allowed to throw. Jon, Jeremy and Kelly sat out. Missy, Reed, Natalie and Keith did the swim. That left Drew and Julie as throwers. From what I saw, Drew didn't even allow Julie to take a turn. She's standing there on the platform waiting for her turn but he just keeps going. Josh and Dale were alternating, but Drew just skipped Julie's turn, obviously so he could control the challenge and lose it. That's why I thought Jeff's "Drew is singlehandedly losing this challenge for Hunapu" was warranted, regardless of whether it was edited in later or not.
  17. I didn't fully understand what he was attempting to say to Baylor. I think it was "Sorry I was an ass. It's my upbringing. Every day my dad came home and gave me such a hard time. Drew was his favourite and he always told me I was a piece of shit. So now that I'm grown, I take every opportunity to be an ass like he was to people that I feel superior to. Cause, you know, I'm a model and don't you just wish you were pretty like me." What a tool.
  18. I thought it was funny how Drew expected to get some credit from his tribe for being bold enough to suggest a trade to Jeff. He kept saying things like "nobody else even wanted to ask". As if he thought they'd view him as the leader who they needed to keep around. I like Jon the best of the guys on the blue tribe. He was the only one thinking strategically. He wanted to vote out a singleton who was also useless in challenges. That's Julie. But then Drew was all "Kelly's eeeeevil" and Jeremy's all "Keith was mean to me" and the guys fell apart. That said, Jon didn't even vote for his buddy Drew's pick or his own pick. He went with who Jeremy wanted out.
  19. Third episode in a row where Henry didn't die. I noticed they took out the voiceover bit in the opening credits where he says "when I die I always reawaken in a body of water, and I'm always naked." Wonder if they are moving away from the dying constantly bit. Because it's really one of the main things that distinguishes this show from Elementary. I liked how he learned things in the first two episodes from his deaths that helped him solve the crimes. Ioan Grufudd runs funny. He kept his elbows tucked in and pumped his arms up and down. It was like he was emulating Jerry Seinfeld running.
  20. I have a hard time understanding why both Jon and Jeremy sat out the immunity challenge. Does the "can't sit out two challenges in a row" rule still apply? Since there are only individual reward competitions, does that mean whoever sits out an immunity can't sit out the next one? Jon is by far their best athlete (despite what Drew thinks) so I'm confused as to why he passed. Especially since he's shown he has great aim. He probably played basketball in addition to football.
  21. So incredibly satisfying. The women didn't have the votes but they stuck together to vote out the lazy ass. Good riddance to that long haired douche. My takeaway from this episode: both Drew and Alec are pissy little arrogant bossy shits. I hope their parents watch this episode and feel ashamed for raising two huge assholes. Question: in last week's preview they showed Drew saying telling the others that he is the kingpin of the tribe followed by a talking head where he says "basically I'm a badass". That was followed by a TH of Jeremy saying "basically he's a moron." Did I miss the "moron" TH tonight? I don't recall hearing it.

    S01.E04: Arkham

I for one was happy that there was a minimal appearance of Montoya. I find her irritating. It seems her sole purpose is to take Jim down. I find Barbara irritating too. Although I fully get why Jim hasn't told her anything, he could just tell her that the police force is corrupt and he isn't keeping any secrets from her, he's just trying to survive. I am still disliking the kid that plays Bruce Wayne. My residual irritation of him from "Touch" apparently still burns.
  23. Loving reading everyone's ideas about book 6. We've already waited 3 years since book 5, I'm expecting another 5. Can't believe the first book came out in 1996, almost 20 years ago. My biggest issue with these books is that by the time the new one gets released, I have forgotten everything that happened in the previous one
  24. Why is Aly so preternaturally obsessed with the idea of Hope and Liam together? She is like a broken record, and it is so incredibly old. She truly truly needs a huge helping of MYOFB!
  25. The threat of an all Laurel, all the time season is why I waited until I watched everything on the Dvr from last week before finally getting around to watching this episode. And I was pleasantly surprised. It was a great show... up until the 58th minute. Now? I'm probably out. I loathe Laurel. And Brandon Routh is still one of the worst and most wooden actors around. I won't be able to stand a season of him.
