  1. Maybe my wording was harsh. I don't think that outfit was appropriate for someone who is there in a professional capacity. And it was more that stylistically, the dress and shoes were completely mismatched. I honestly think it would look better if Jessica and Jamie switched shoes. The funky purple sandals would go better with Jamie's more casual romper, and the stiletto pumps would look better with the leather dress.......
  2. Dave is definitely getting a hard time - I've seen the words toxic and jerk, and frankly, I just don't see it. That is what I find so fascinating about this forum - we are all watching the same thing and the way people interpret things differently amazes me. The way I see it, Amber has asked him questions and he has answered honestly. He didn't sugar coat or coddle her (that just doesn't seem to be who he is), but that shouldn't be necessary. She is not a child - she is a grown woman who is almost 40! The Jessica Biel and 7.5 rating questions were such non-issues that she made huge deals out of. He seems more baffled by her reactions ("you're mad at half a point?!?") and inability to let it go despite his and other people's reassurances. I don't think he has some grand scheme to alienate her on purpose; she seems to be doing that all on her own. I don't blame him if he's getting frustrated, I just think they are completely mismatched, and she is too immature for marriage and too selfish for a baby. I also don't think he was being mean to call her on the laundry when she said ON CAMERA that she would do it. He wasn't angry or rude about it, but her response was very juvenile. Instead of owning it she basically said she didn't want to be married?!? She seems to be all take and no give and I just can't see why that is his fault.
  3. I find Amber exhausting. Her bs excuse about being scared about having feelings for Dave is a cop out. And if she doesn’t want to do Dave’s laundry she’s in for a rude awakening about how much laundry kids have....Dave seems slightly inflexible, and is not the warmest person but he seems to be trying. I started on team Amber but I think I’m definitely swaying team Dave at this point. Bobby and Danielle were not my favorites the first few episodes, but they are quickly becoming one of my all time favorites, and part of it has been Bobby on Unfiltered. I find him surprisingly genuine and funny. While I appreciate Jessica calling it about either be ready to sign divorce papers or keep the ring on, in this instance I just wish she had said this is too far gone. Of course she doesn’t..... And on the topic of Dr Jessica, the ridiculous leather mini dress with frumpy fugly purple shoes was blowing my mind on Unfiltered. Way to look professional, lady!
  4. I was filled with glee when the Nap Ninja fell - I am so over every single person getting a fill-in-the-blank ninja title and a logo t-shirt! Seriously, if your most interesting quality is that you like to nap, you should just use your name and wear an UnderArmour tank.... Also can’t stand the fireman who fell - he needs to dial back the intensity and screaming. Also hate that he shows up with all his fireman gear Every.Single.Time. We get it. You’re a fireman. I have more respect for the ones who just show up in appropriate attire and kick ass on the course like Drew, Joe, and Daniel Gill (my one exception is Jamie Rahn). There must be something wrong with me because I asked my husband who was the better ninja couple: Chris and Flex or James and Alyssa? He looked at me like I had two heads. I think I am waaay too into this show.....
  5. A Stepping routine with two people is stupid. It just is. And frankly, so is Bollywood. I would be fine never seeing either again. The only time I liked Bollywood was Joshua and Katie. I am sick of the over praising of contestants AND choreographers. This is definitely not the best top 10, and these choreographers are not as good as the early seasons. Travis Wall is not a god! Despite these complaints, I did enjoy Magda and Darius’ jazz routine, but some of that is probably because I love that song. I also love Slavic -I know all the remaining guys are better dancers than him but I can’t help myself - all the way back to Dominic I find myself rooting for the b-boys. .
  6. The only thing interesting about Bobby and Danielle are the dogs. I do not care about her eyebrows in the least - in fact, I probably wouldn't have noticed them if not for all the comments about them. I cannot believe how blase' she was about the 90 minute work commute! In other seasons, that has been a big factor in deciding to find alternative housing. Still, they seem fairly normal and nice and might have a shot at being the fifth couple to survive this show. Mia is arguably the worst female to ever grace this show - worse than S2 Ashley, worse than Sam. Tristan is stupid to stay with her. Amber needs to STFU about her insecurities about Dave. Her friend needs to take it down a notch or twenty. Despite that, I thought Dave was a very gracious host to Zachia and her manservant/husband. And why did Amber vomit out her insecurities to the bro wives the minute she met them if she was not looking to make new friends? Not exactly the thing you would do with people you are trying to keep at an acquaintance level. The look on those two ladies faces was hilarious - the perfect blend of pity and concern. I don't think I could be that good of an actress when confronted with a glamazon like Amber........
  7. I think that in a normal dating situation it would be easier to accept if someon’s celeb crush looks nothing like you because that person knows what you look like and choose you. For instance, my husband in the 1990’s had a crush on Gabby Reece the volleyball player - very tall and athletic with medium brown long hair. I am fairly tall (5’8”) but I have short brunette hair and am built more hourglass. It didn’t bother me at all bc I knew he was attracted to me. If he wasn’t we would not have been together. In this situation it’s not as easy to laugh off because Dave didn’t choose Amber. I think I might question it too, but probably not dwell on it to the point of obsession like she seems to be doing. Plus, it’s obvious from her “do you like me?” from an episode ago that she is insecure. I mean, that’s cringeworthy levels of insecurity. Even if I wondered I would NEVER ask it out loud - my pride wouldn’t allow it!
  8. Eh - I think season two still takes the cake - I mean, that one ended with a restraining order........ The Miami season wasn't great either.........
  9. I am another one who laughed at Isaac falling - I believe guffawed is actually more accurate. Talk about poetic justice! He acts like he is God's gift to this show but I feel that some of his win was luck - the obstacles he faced in the city he started in and Geoff having to go first on stage 4, etc. He had varying degrees of success in the seasons prior to the one he won, and this season is no different. I just pray that someone soon can defeat the course so we don't have to hear about him anymore. For the same reason, I was so bummed Flex fell - I'm sick of being reminded about Kacy being the only woman to complete a City Finals course! Rooting for her, Jessie Graff, Alyssa Beard, Megan Martin or Barclay Stockett to get it done someday soon!
  10. Ha! I also just bought one on Amazon for $9.99- it's a 6 pack with a small auger (is that the correct word?) like we have for the toilet. I don't have super long hair but I shed - can't wait. I agree - this is probably the most useful thing to ever come from watching this show ;-p I also find Paisley adorable - I loved the shot they caught of the cat just chilling and looking at the camera like "Can you believe this guy? What is his problem?"
  11. Just like the edit from last week with Amber stating she didn't want to live at Dave's place if he lived there with another woman? Yeah, that turned out to be a whole lot of nothing......as I'm sure this preview will be as well.
  12. This makes me think about all of the people calling for older people to be chosen for this “experiment”. Both Amber and Dave show a certain amount of inflexibility, something that might be because they are a little older and are used to living as independent adults for a long time. Obviously, this is a generalization, but I do think people who have only been a functioning adult for about five minutes (think Lilian) might be more open to changing living habits than people who have been set in a pattern for over a decade.
  13. Everything about Tristan and Mia seems phony, from the waaaaay too early “I love you” right down to the giant GOD letters. Apparently they are just going to ignore what happened and move right along? Give me a break..... Also - what was that thing Bobby used on the bathroom drain? I need it!
  14. I rather think her behavior confirms what he heard, but more to the point is that it is frankly none of his business. It happened before they were together. She doesn’t need to justify her behavior; he needs to get over it because it has nothing to do with him.
  15. I cannot believe how much I am loving Roller this season! I was so pissed when they brought him back last season but between his caring for his non-biological Russian baby, how sweet he is to Des and even Dr. Ken this episode, he’s becoming one of my favorites. Also, Uncle Daddy is everything. He’s so wrong but I love him!
  16. This so much! It's like she is just throwing out excuses and lies and seeing what sticks - I don't know him, I know of him, I dated him, it was identity theft, my car was stolen, it was a misunderstanding. It's utterly ridiculous at this point. Honestly, it would have been better if she had just been honest and/or spun it like Oh my gosh, I dated him and when we broke up I kind of lost my mind for a while. I did some really crazy things, but I realized my behavior was a little insane and I've since stopped and am ready to move on. Some of these charges are so recent it makes me wonder if she was trying to pull an Ashley (as in Ashley and David) and try to make the ex jealous by participating in this show......
  17. I love Matt & Akbar - seeing how excited they get is part of the show, and i love how competitors that hit a buzzer look to them for affirmation and praise. I can even live with the sob stories, although it feels like a waste of time when the person ends up wiping out on the first or second obstacle. I just wish they would show the entire run of every person that hits a buzzer! I mean, the courses have become so difficult the last few years that only a few people in each city manage to complete the course. Why can't they show them??!????
  18. Well, to be fair, Danielle might wake up in the middle of the night with nightmares she married a "Daddy's boy" (Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt anyone?) with terrible 90's hair ;-p I do agree with whoever said he looked better with the hat on when they were on the plane. If I had to "do it" with Bobby, I think he would have to leave the hat on for the duration.......
  19. I see what you're saying, and it's not super mature, but did you see how sweaty his back was??? He had to miserable. I did get a laugh out of Amber's ineffectual dabbing as if that tiny napkin could absorb the bucket of sweat on his shirt! Now I can't believe I'm make excuses for this guy - what am I doing???!?? I guess time will tell......either way, Amber is a champ. I can sum up Bobby and Danielle thus far in one paragraph: You're pretty. No, you're pretty. You're perfect. No, you're perfect. Will you stay home and take care of our kids? No. Okay. I'm afraid of heights. So am I. You're so brave. No, you are! Let's slide down a historical landmark on our butts. We friggin did it!!!
  20. I can’t make up my mind about Dave - sometimes he seems reasonable and normal, and sometimes he seems like a giant ass. I am going to give him a pass on the salsa dancing though because it is really hot and humid in Cancun and he was wearing pants, socks and sneakers in the middle of the day which is the absolutely wrong thing to wear in that climate. He had to be miserable on top of doing something the producers probably forced them to do. As for Danielle and Bobby(are there really grown men who go by “Bobby”??!?!) ....I got nothing. Zzzzz
  21. I have been lurking and reading these forums for a loooong time, but this season I had to finally jump in because I am so disgusted by the "experts", particularly "Dr. Jessica". I cannot believe this is the same woman who, last season, was raking Molly over the coals and telling her to STOP LYING! But this season, what happens with Mia, who is not only lying but is a freaking criminal -she gives her a pass! Oh wait, I guess she has no interest in hooking up with Tristan, so.......
