You are absolutely right about that. She NEVER had Abe use the Mayor's office to help Chanel. Never. Man, she was pretty unlikeable before but now they're turning her into a real bitch - caring ONLY about how it looks NOW, not about how stupid she's going to look when it inevitably comes out that Gabi didn't kill Li and Paulina SPECIFICALLY ordered the police to NOT investigate the case fully.

The REAL Theresa would never have agreed to kidnap a baby. She would have simply called Constantine's bluff and threatened to let Maggie know that he was romancing her for her money. (And she would have made sure she had proof to make her threat good.) Yup, the fact that he wasn't INSTANTLY suspicious (especially since he doesn't like the guy) is completely out of character for him.

Yes, I'm REALLY over her whole wounded bird act. She started this with her stupid lie about Rex and then insisted they had to fight it out in court. Yet, she has the audacity to act hurt every time Xander simply tries to counter what SHE'S doing. Oh, come on. Wouldn't you be instantly suspicious of whoever gave someone that monstrosity? I thought it was pretty funny that while both Steve and Kayla thought they painting was hideous, they were both dancing around about how awful it was. Steve: "It's big." One of the better lines today. Fortunately for all of us, they cut the John and Marlena slobbering all over each other act short today. Not NEARLY as painful as I feared.

Hey, show could just have Emily cycle through the cast every 12 weeks or so. She was Gwen, now she's Theresa, next, she could be Sloan. She could be Xander's mother in flashbacks. Maybe she could be on call to be the general understudy for anyone in the cast. Who wouldn't want to see her as Alex, Brady or maybe Doug? I, for one, would love to see her fill in for Paulina or Julie.

I'm sorry, but that thing is absolutely hideous. If something ever happened to Mr. Cat I couldn't IMAGINE who would hate me enough to "gift" me with something like that. Fortunately, I know Mr. Cat would be incredibly honored if I burned the thing in our fire pit so I wouldn't have to look at that for long.

Let me guess. Eric's going to run off to save Africa again as soon as he discovers Nicole's baby is really his. After all, that's what all great fathers do.

I'm not necessarily saying he's worse. It's just the fact that Theresa hasn't done anything half as bad as a lot of the Salem residents and she's universally trashed while Brady, who has admittedly done some pretty awful stuff is still pretty universally revered as a "great guy." Sort of like how everyone bends over backwards to tell Eric what a great father he'll be when he's PROVEN he's shit as a father.

I'm not saying Theresa is an innocent but Brady has also done some truly heinous things. Yet, somehow everybody in Salem goes around trashing Theresa (who actually showed some growth before the writers decided to completely ruin her character) while Brady (who hasn't really changed from an asshole with anger issues) is universally regarded as a "great guy."

I was shocked they actually allowed Tate to tell Brady that he basically neglected him to put Rachel first. I wish he had brought up when Brady also ran off with Nicole and Holly (essentially making it so he wouldn't see Tate at all). Unfortunately, Tate seemed to buy Brady's pro forma apology. Brady, EVERYONE, including your sainted step-mother would tell you that no matter how angry you are at your ex - you do NOT trash the other parent to your child. It really just shows what an ass he is.

This whole thing is REALLY out of character for Steve. Of course, maybe it's because I really hate the whole father protecting his daughter's "innocence" trope that I WANT this to be out of character for Steve. Stephanie's a grown woman - if she isn't mature enough to discuss her own relationship she certainly isn't mature enough to get married.

Maybe it's my own bias, but I don't think they're trying to show Holly as a druggie. I think most teens at least try alcohol and pot - it seemed like it was sort of casual - not like she's really that in to it. I'm really hoping the whole "In love with Johnny" thing is supposed to show that she's some naive teenager and this is the obligatory angst between her and Tate since they are obviously going to put them together. Especially since her crush on Johnny is going absolutely nowhere.

I'd forgotten that. I guess because it was Belle (who Marlena always thinks can do no wrong) who was cheated on that Marlena became such a bitch to Talia. Or maybe she just thinks if it's HER family member that's cheating (i.e. it was Will cheating, not Sonny) that it's all OK then. That whole story line really drove me crazy. Apparently, Maggie was not only freezing her eggs (for some unknown reason), but having them stolen and used a full 10 years before in vitro fertilization was even discovered.

Marlena: I'm not here to judge you, I'm here to help you. I am an objective professional. Also Marlena: If you think I'm not going to judge the HELL out of you, you are sadly mistaken. An actual REAL professional, would have simply said that in light of the new information she could not longer work with Talia. She would have stopped the whole Talia drama scene it its tracks.

Maybe her choice was take the role or get fired. Maybe they were going to write off Gwen no matter what. If they then brought in another actor to play Theresa it wouldn't benefit Jen and Emily would be out of a job.

I was getting whiplash from Chloe today. First she decides she's going to MARRY someone, then decides against it (can't fault her for that decision), is crying on the phone with her mother over her decision to not get married, and LITERALLY 5 minutes later, she's declaring her love for someone else. Really awful writing. Did like the scenes with Xander and Sarah. I REALLY want to play poker with Tripp - he'd believe your bluff even if you told him flat out you were bluffing.

Today, she brought up that one of her major beefs with Xander is the whole baby swap thing. She can't forgive him for that, but NAMES THE BABY after Victor, the person who's idea it was originally and basically convinced Xander to do it. I'm not saying she should necessarily forgive Xander but it seems really hypocritical to HONOR his co-conspirator and the actual master mind behind the plot to begin with. Since when are Brady and Alex such GREAT pals that Brady would try to warn Alex away from Theresa? Was he seriously just trying to be that big of an asshole to Theresa? And now Brady and Alex are buddy buddy enough to be going on some adventure together? Maybe I'm blocking it out, but I honestly can't remember a single scene where they had even a vaguely friendly interaction.

I want to sit at the same table with @DisneyBoy and @boes. I too like Theresa despite all the things she's done. Pretty much everybody has done terrible things and it seems like either they get hated for things that are far less heinous than what other characters have done, or their truly awful things get hand-waved away by some other character insisting that they're now a different person so everyone should just ignore all the terrible things they did (see Ben, Kristen, etc.) I'm not sure I can ever REALLY forgive Abigail's character for causing Ben to go crazy and saddling us all with his GREAT redemption story by him and CIAAARA having the truest LUV ever in history. And I completely agree, I hate having Theresa begging Brady for another chance when he's the one who should be apologizing for trying to destroy her relationship with her sister.
