  1. That's why you should join your local credit union! Free accounts AND we'll let you keep the pen. :D - signed a CU employee of 13 years.
  2. Agreed, Fern is just super cute and smiley, the caption is something I would post about my own nephews, and Jer looks really happy too. It's sad that I think the siblings are closer with one another than they were with MEChelle and Boob, and they get to dote on their nieces, nephews, and younger relatives in a way they probably didn't get from their failure parents.
  3. I love a fancy pen myself (though I think my most expensive fountain pen was only $75 but they can be thousands!) but the difference is that I have a job, I save money, and then I can buy things I want. I'm not a has-been reality TV "star" with awful morals who just grifts free stuff to seem more cultured than I actually am.
  4. Brad was one of my favourites so I'm gutted.
  5. I still love Brad, chaotic as he is. I don't know why, but the green tribe has some of the best personalities in the game. I still hate Ricard, but Evvie is growing on me a bit. Genie and JD are still my green tribe favourites. I also love Deshawn, Naseer, and Danny from the blue tribe. Did not see that Voce blindside coming, Tiffany is just dead weight and her paranoia is getting out of hand in my opinion. I love Xander but I think he's screwed since he can't vote unless the other two manage to find the other idols. His game play is going to be pretty limited.
  6. Mima rocking the pants too! The boys look so happy and content. So much more genuine than the other broods.
  7. The shot of them in the church is so perfect I have goosebumps.
  8. Opening sequence ft. original Tank! score, of course. I personally love it. Also from geeked, the main cast interviewing one another:
  9. My early faves are Brad, Genie, Xander, and JD. Early annoyances are Ricard and Evvie.
  10. It was a good finale. Not great, not perfect, but it was good.
  11. There were so many creative twists that I would love to see on US Survivor as well!
  12. I just watched Season 3 of Survivor: Australia because it's the only full season on YouTube (I think one episode was missing out of 26) and wow, without giving any spoilers, that was the BEST performance at FTC I have ever seen (from the person that won).
  13. That's Stacey's Emergency. She also stole candy from Claudia. Stacey's Big Secret is in the first five (and was covered in Season 1).
  14. Trying to jog my memory -- 201 -- that's the book that introduced Shannon right? 202 -- the one with the artsy fartsy new girl who Claudia kind of gets gay for. 203 -- diabeetus
  15. I agree. I like the look overall, but even if they just gave her a more sheer stocking and added a brighter red leather jacket to emulate her red wrap, that would brighten it up a lot.
  16. i love it i love it i love it eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. So here's the thing. After my favourite character in the MCU died in Endgame, so did my interest in Marvel (except for Loki). No plans to see any of the other movies in theaters, though I did watch the three Disney+ series. The finale set up a LOT for Phase 4, which is great if you're pumped for Phase 4 itself and all of the craziness and time travel and multiverses etc. Buuuuuuut, if you're like me and you're not, it was like 30 minutes of exposition from Kang and then just 10 of anything interesting happening. So I definitely feel like of... underwhelmed. I'm excited for Season 2 but I do worry how much it's going to rely on some parallel understanding of what's going on in Phase 4 too at the same time. Did anyone else see the tear on Loki's cheek when Sophie kissed him? Also the way he looked at Mobius when he didn't recognize him... my heart! Hopefully Owen Wilson is back for Season 2 because that friendship is one of the greatest in an MCU project.
  18. I'm really happy. It's by no means groundbreaking TV (the original never was amazing writing or acting either) but I am enjoying it a lot, moreso than other renewals like Fuller House for exmaple.
  19. WOW, things are really ramping up. AGAIN. I feel like every week I'm bracing myself for another cliffhanger. The Lokis were all amazing. Classic Loki was definitely the MVP (he just wanted to see Asgard one last time because he misses Thor...) but Alligator Loki, Kid Loki, and President Loki were all fantastic. I was really curious when the promos of President Loki had appeared and thought he would be a bigger part of the story -- nope, just another hilarious Variant with the girliest scream ever. I was not disappointed by Loki's reunions with Sylvie (they shared a blanket!) and Mobius (ughhhhh that hug, my heart). I feel like this is the last we'll see of Mobius but I hope for a post-credits tag in the finale where he's off jet-skiing happily somewhere. I still have no idea who the big bad is going to be revealed to be, but it's going to be a nail-biting seven days until we find out...
  20. HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIT. MOBIUS! NOOOOO!!! also Loki was going to kiss Sylvie wasn't he. WASN'T HE.
  21. I really liked the change of pacing in this episode. I did miss Mobius a bit but honestly Loki and Sylvie had so much chemistry I really didn't notice the lack of TVA. I agree it had major Doctor Who vibes.
  22. We are exactly the same age (date and year). I feel bad for her that her life is just... being an honorary J-Slave.
  23. It was a guilty pleasure when it was on ten years ago and it's a guilty pleasure now. The absence of Jeanette is hard to ignore but I respect her decision to retire given her experience and I think the show will still appeal for the nostalgia. I think my favourite episode was the third, but they all had some moments that had me giggling just like the old series.
  24. I'm rewatching Cambodia and I will never, ever tire of Wentworth idolling out Savage. I could watch it on repeat and cure my depression.
