  1. This show is so good at pointing the lens on multiple suspects right up until the end. NO NOT PAUL RUDD!
  2. A fantastic episode with a SHIT ending. Jesus. I have to believe that Sean was just trying to go out on his own terms because he knew he was going home and wanted to save face. Because he did a total 180. I am surprised how much I now like Emily. The editors know how to craft a good redemption arc, seriously. Found out from my mom that Kaleb is her friend's niece's boyfriend. Cool!
  3. Yeah, Jeff touched briefly on it during last week's episode of his On Fire podcast. He cast a bit of shade at the past cast members who are now profiting off "coaching" people's audition videos. Brandon is apparently one of the people who paid for coaching.
  4. Sooooooo amped for Seaon 2, I even resubbed to Disney+, haha. I rewatched Season 1 last week (grabbed the blu-ray release) to get myself refreshed. Loki's hair was very majestic in this episode. /shallow OB was adorable and hilarious. I loved the timey-wimey bits, his conversation with Loki in the past affecting his conversations in the future. The Loki/Mobius friendship is the best. I absolutely love their chemistry.
  5. Previously for challenges, you could sit out back to back immunity+reward combined challenges, you just couldn't sit out back to back separate challenges (reward on day 1, immunity on day 3). Because there are so few separate challenges, you could theoretically sit out a lot more often with the old rules. Basically in the episodes with one combined challenge, the "counter" reset at tribal council so you could sit out during the next challenge again. Now you cannot sit out back to back challenges regardless of what/when they are.
  6. Dear Sifu, You do not call yourself sifu. Other people call you sifu out of respect. Please get a grip on your ego.
  7. Congrats, Shan! You are no longer the most vile and nasty player of the new era. That title has been passed down to Emily. A very chaotic cast. Some insights right off for me: Caleb -- He's from BC, a Poco native! I live about an hour away from his stomping grounds. I liked his vibe with Sabiyah. Bruce -- Great to see him back. I do think he would be a good leader and he shouldn't shy away from that. Sifu -- You aren't Chinese, bro. And I'm pretty sure you don't refer to yourself as a seifu in martial arts, it's something other people call you. Jake -- He reminds me of a golden retriever with how fast he was ready to talk up his recent attorney adventures. Brando -- Took me a minute to realize there was a Brando and a Brandon. At least this one seems emotionally stable. Brandon -- I have anxiety and panic attacks. I know how absolutely debilitating they can be. And that's why I would never go on Survivor lol. The thing about Survivor is that whatever team doesn't win immunity gets that extra few minutes of screentime at the end where you get to see them actually strategizing, and so I find that even with the camp life sort of scenes at the start of the episode, you don't really get a ton of exposure to the other tribes' gameplay.
  8. Updating myself: another 14 copies of CtC were ordered at my library for a grand total of 46! I'm still stuck at #40 in line LOL Get that money, Jill!
  9. My library originally ordered 12 copies, I was #40 in line. They've since then ordered another 16 copies (which haven't been released yet to the waitlist) and there are 152 people now in line! Hopefully I'll get to read it before the end of the year but my backlog is pretty long so I've got plenty to keep me busy until then. I looked at Jinger's book for comparison and there are 53 in line for just 13 copies.

    Loki In The Media

I haven't bought anything Marvel since Endgame but this... this I might grab.
  12. There's a whole "planner fandom". People go all out with the expensive Erin Condren planners, you can spend a fortune on stickers and dashboards and clips. I was pretty into it years back and even went to a meetup at a Michael's craft store where we all showed off our planners, swapped stickers and washi tape, etc. Nowadays I keep things simple with just a big calendar-style planner on my desk. But I mean, she's a Dugger, so she's gonna shill. At least if she's back to work, she'll actually have stuff to put on her planner.
  13. Wow indeed. I enjoyed it a lot. I’m glad they got to close the series out on their own terms. Hank dying holding onto statue Cristobal’s hand was beautifully tragic.
  14. Tom passed away in March 2023. My heart is broken. https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/where-are-all-the-queer-eye-heroes-now https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/name/thomas-jackson-obituary?id=49382659
  15. Ew. Second season in a row where I’m not even watching the after show.
  16. I believe in Caramoan, Philip sat out of a water challenge due to a traumatizing incident as a child. Edit: According to Wikipedia, it was actually the episode he was eliminated. "Before the second heat was to be run, Phillip said that he was opting out of the challenge due to the underwater stage of the challenge reminding him of a childhood incident."
  17. I think the "control a vote" advantage would have worked better if it was private. The advantage-holder goes up to the voting booth with their target -- so that part is public -- but the actual vote itself is a secret between the two of them.
  18. Frannie and Matt need to CHILL THE FUCK OUT because I love them both so much and I know one will get blindsided because they have NO CHILL. Claire, you could have at least spoken up and expressed any kind of interest in competing in challenges.
  19. Thank you for explaining this clearly. I was one of the people confused and thought that Carolyn had gotten the idols switched around. I mean, I wouldn't put it past her since she was so flustered from her big "heist." It definitely would make for good chaos in the future if it were true, but I still think there's room for shenanigans once the merge hits.
  20. I love Matty and Frannie. They give me Christian/Gabby vibes except the latter was strictly platonic and this one is leaning towards a showmance. Carolyn getting the idols mixed up (thinking the coin is real and the beads are fake) has SO much potential for chaos down the road: - she gives the fake (real) idol to someone to trick them, they play it and are immune. - she plays the real (fake) idol for herself and is idolled out with the fake (real) idol in her pocket. - if she DOES give the fake (real) idol to someone to trick them, after it's revealed that Carolyn's real (fake) idol is fake, they're going to know she tried to trick them with a fake. JUST DELICIOUS CHAOS ALL AROUND. Chaos Kass would be proud! This episode was a lot of fun. Carson reminds me a bit of Tom Holland mixed with Michael Reeves (a YouTuber).
  21. Oh my god I didn't even see that, GREAT.
  22. I can't unsee Tom Holland now.
  23. Early faves: Frannie, Matt B, Carson, Jaimie. Carolyn is like Nora 2.0. Jesus. I thought her opening confessional was cute but then she started to grate. Quite a few firsts in this episode, including the new advantages, first successful SOTD, and FOUR medical visits (for three players).
  24. I listened to the first episode of the podcast. I thought it was pretty interesting, it was more behind the scenes than specific to the episode, though he did have a short interview with the player who was medivacced.
  25. Gabler is SO MESSY but he is one of the only entertaining characters this season.
