  1. And another where she starts making out with a guy only for his wife to walk in on them. The remainder of the episode is about her being ostracized because of her behavior and when she finally resorts to going to some society grande dame for help, the woman rebuffs her because apparently Samantha slept with HER guy too. (To be fair, I'm not sure I'm remembering that last part correctly) Yet she wanted to get pissed off whenever SHE was cheated on. Um. . .NO. Say this for Blanche, no matter how much she slept around, she was adamant that she would NOT go to bed with married men and was genuinely angry and upset the few times that it did happen.
  2. I wonder too. I had no problem with Samantha loving sex, and being confident in her sexuality, etc, but there were plenty of times were her behavior seemed out of control and like the writers were determined to make her as overly slutty as possible. Even worse, she not only didn't care that it might make others uncomfortable, she seemed to sometime get a sick thrill out of that.
  3. Agreed. I liked that episode, but it saddened me to realize that thanks to the way the girls handled it, Jo became a #MeToo and a #WhyIDidntReport story. There's a similar story on an episode of "Maude", when she encounters a guy who nearly date raped her 30-something years prior. Everything she said holds true today--how her father blamed her, how it still affected her despite how long ago it was, blasting her husband when he tells her she should be over it, etc. But what happens when she confronts the guy? He apologizes. . .then declares that it happened because he found her too beautiful and sexy to resist. . . and she starts BLUSHING and GIGGLING and acting FLATTERED. That's right, ladies. All that stalking/harassment/assault is actually a compliment. (It reminded me of how my own FATHER laughingly told me "That's how a man gets a good woman" in response to my complaints about the ex-boyfriend who was stalking me)

  5. The movie is being rereleased in IMAX starting January 21 to kick off celebrating the franchise's 60th anniversary. And here's an EXCELLENT documentary about Craig's time as Bond. He mentions reading all the cruel comments about him when he was first cast and it's obvious that it really hurt him. Barbara Broccoli says she's wishes she'd kept him on for NINE or TEN films: https://screenrant.com/daniel-craig-james-bond-movies-number-barbara-broccoli/amp/ I assume she's joking, because although it would have been nice to see Craig do as many or more than Connery or Moore did, I can't imagine how hard it would have been--physically and mentally--for him and everybody to churn out that many films.
  6. And when they're not cutting lines or scenes, they're putting in commercials at the worst time so that the flow of the scene is interrupted.
  7. I hate the way reruns cut and edit everything. I caught the episode where Blanche's brother admits he's gay and the cut that great scene where Rose realizes it--"Clayton, you're that thing that everyone said Olga Larsen's nephew was 'cause he wore paisley clogs and gave out puff pastry on Halloween."
  8. That was one of Rose's best bitchy moments--"Just drives you nuts, doesn't it?"
  9. He's DEAD. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2022/01/10/business/robert-durst-dies/index.html The bastard will never stand trial for what he did to Kathleen.
  10. It looks like 2022 is determined to imitate its predecessor in carrying off our beloved figures.
  11. Holy shit. I see 2022 is wasting no time imitating its predecessor in carrying off our beloved figures.
  12. I can't wait until they're actually sharing the bed, but not sleeping together. You know, so as not to confuse things.
  13. They were mine too, but this back and forth nonsense is exhausting. And even with them moving in together, they're still going to have separate bedrooms, so it's just more of the "were together, but not really" routine.
  14. Congratulations writers, you've finally made me hate Burgess and Ruzek. I'm so friggin TIRED of this on-again, off-again, kind of together but not really crap. And every episode it's the same thing. ENOUGH. AARGH.

    Scream Franchise

"Brothers don't last long in situations like this". He leaves town. . . and survives. BRILLIANT. Especially in a movie which perfectly lampshades the Black Dude Dies First trope by having two African American characters indeed be the first victims and having Sydney's Black Best Friend get killed instead of her.
  16. Yes, but I don't see them dragging Craig back for one last hurrah. Aside from how definitive his ending was, he'll be pushing late-era Roger Moore age if they did, and neither he nor TPTB ever lived down how embarrassing that was.
  17. That whole year of 1993, when I started watching on a regular basis (after spending the last few months of 1992 watching sporadically), was one of the show's best.
  18. The Madame Tussauds museum in London has a "scary" section, as does the one in New York. I can't speak for the others except that the ones in Las Vegas and Washington, DC don't. I thought so too, but this IS The Twilight Zone, so the idea of those statues coming to life and killing people isn't too far-fetched. He buried Dave in the same way he buried Emma and there was a Time Skip after he "confronted" the statues, so we'll never know about Ferguson.
  19. That must be it. I've never seen the MTM show, but from what I hear of Sue Ann Nivens, she was a classic Bitch In Sheep's Clothing, a nasty person under that "happy homemaker" facade. Blanche, for all her flaws, wasn't truly cruel or mean. Interestingly, enough, I felt like the show often alluded to their previous characters--Blanche could occasionally be quite dim, while Rose could be quite the bitch when she wanted/needed to be--and I loved it when she was.
  20. I love how TPTB went all out to bring back so many former female cast members.
  21. I love the NYE/NYD marathon. In the "Exhibit" episode, I think Martin is the one who snapped and killed everyone. Does anyone disagree, out of curiosity?
