I was lucky to have two older children who could watch our youngest and allow us to have a break now and again. This was before our son was put on medications. As far as Nova, I don't see her as having special needs. She is just a child whose only special needs are neglect by her mother. Her mother throws her outside with an electronic device instead of maybe interacting with her, sharing time together and enjoy nature, maybe going for a walk on their property. That would help Cate with her weight issues. Nope. Too damn lazy.

My youngest has his mental disorders and I dealt with those kind of situations that you pointed out. I think back to the times I left a restaurant or stopped shopping in the middle of buying groceries. No shade your way or any other parent who needs to keep a kid calm or entertained on occasion. I was referring to a parent I specifically know (who reminds me of Catelynn) who can't bother to entertain their child or teach them there are other ways to be entertained or to encourage their child to socialize with other children. It is easier for her to just hand her kid the iPad, her cell phone, etc. I suppose since she herself loves to be on her own phone and lives on it like Jenelle with all the social apps and filter shit, she finds it easier to just throw a video game at her kid. This is not just on few occasions either. Kids party - device in her hand. Swimming activities - device in her hand. Forget being in the pool, this kid has to play with the dumb filters. This kid has these outbursts because she has been enabled and has become adjusted to having an electronic device in her hand. I feel for that kid because her mind is stuck on some game or messing with those damn filters. I loved reading and having coloring books to keep me entertained, but it wasn't a must and it wasn't all the time. As a child, I had to learn to tolerate those boring moments or the times where I couldn't have those items such as attending church. @teapot the scenario I pointed out is not shaming the parent I know. I know the parent enough to have made the comment with plenty of judgment. Catelynn ignores Nova and I feel this particular child I compared to Nova is in need of one on one attention and to be more social. Too many parents can't bother to parent and can't give their children the attention they crave and deserve.

I think it was the pending appearance of Valerie on MSNBC's town hall meeting which happened to air on the day Roseanne was canceled. I could be wrong. Speaking of the other Valerie (Harper), I recall she sued Lorimar and won her case after her firing from her tv show.

Sorry but, this part makes me laugh and roll my eyes. Except for Chelsea (what else is new?) what is going on with Kanal and Leah that they had to take time out of their lives? They don't do shit. They have family who watch those kids not to mention, the fathers have visitation with their children. Kanal has taken how many vacations this past year alone? A bajillion vacations. That sounds crazy. I had some relatives who were looking into buying a modular, but they then found out the lot rent was over $1200 a month. Fuck! Yeah, $20k is not going to get you far no matter where you live when buying a home, condo, modular, or trailer unless you are earning a great income and you have excellent credit. I have rentals. I have to make sure the people who rent from me are earning a certain amount of money before I even consider them as tenants. You can't just be barely making the rent. Buying a modular or trailer, either you are paying property taxes or rent on the property lot. Then, there is homeowner's insurance, the expenses that come with owning your own place, utilities, maintenance, upkeep, repairs, etc. It is akin to saying $20k will buy you a new car, but what about the gas? Insurance? Tires? Kids think owning a car is a breeze until it comes time to paying the expenses on it. Same with adults who think $20k is enough to get one a home. It might be enough for a down payment, but if you are not bringing in sufficient income, how the hell would one be able to afford the expenses of owning their own place? Briana lives in Florida. There is no way she will afford to own her own place unless she has her sister and mother working and living with her to maintain the expenses. She might not even have the credit to get a loan.

I could see Kanal be the parent who would FALSELY ACCUSE someone of harming her children. The bolded reminds me of the late Whitney Houston. I remember when she was riding on her high horse (or high on crack was more like it) believing that Bobby Brown wasn't messing around on her when the whole world knew he was no good. My girlfriend at that time told me, "She thinks she has a golden p*ssy." That shit had me on the floor laughing so hard! We don't know if she finished college. We know she paid $10k to the college, but no sign of any diploma being issued to her. I can't agree that she is better at not screaming in front of her kids when there are countless scenes where she has done just that in their presence. In fact, it was in front of Isaac, and other children, that she abused Javi. Her friends were visiting and they had their small children there when it occurred. Dropping F bombs, cursing, she has done it all. It happens on camera. If it happens on camera, it is happening far more away from the camera. Her behavior in the recent reunion episode shows how explosive she can become. If we are talking about how many times Kanal's rotten behavior has occurred on camera versus Jenelle's, that might be the only difference between those two where Kanal fares better. Kanal has also let loose with racist comments. Considering she is a parent to children who are Latino and Black, I find it disgusting. It only makes me wonder what she says behind closed doors. She is extremely low on the bar of what I would consider a good mother. Jenelle is a special kind of evil and there are no comparisons.

Kanal's brand is to be a rich man. She said not too long ago somewhere that she had to make sure she made a million dollars by the age of 30.
