I'm conflicted. The DH takes a lot of the strategy out of the game, but it also reduces the likelihood of losing a pitcher for an extended period because he got hit on his pitching hand/wrist/elbow while batting. But that's really unlikely, so on balance, I want the DH gone.

I really hate the Balance of Nature commercial with the cowboy. When he says "I couldn't do a situp" my reaction is twofold: (1) I don't think it has anything to do with a lack of vitamins, and (2) I bet you STILL can't. Try dropping 100 lbs and you'll feel a lot less tired.

I'm afraid the drain is clogged.

Pet peeve of mine. One day I was in a small local organic grocery store (back before Whole Foods) and a mother came in with two older children. The kids were 9-10 ish, certainly old enough to know how to behave, but mama was letting them run wild. I said something to them gently, but mama got all huffy. "Some people just don't like to see children having fun!" "Oh, I like to see kids having fun----at a PLAYGROUND. This is a grocery store. " Yeah, I'm that asshole.

We also watch "The First 48." Favorite are the homicide detectives in Tulsa.

Oh, I dunno. I'd say a woman convincing herself that a gay man totally wants her rates pretty high on the pathet-o-meter.

@Annber03 ... omg I am seriously addicted to true crime shows. Which ones do you watch? My hubs favorite is See No Evil. I like Evil Lives Here. But I'm getting pissed at Discovery because they keep teasing new episodes of American Detective with Joe Kenda, but they aren't on the schedule.

Haven't seen this one mentioned before (though I may have missed it) but there's a commercial for LG appliances that uses a godawful cover of Queen's "We Will Rock You." Gah!!! SOME things are sacred. That earthquake? Freddy Mercury spinning in his grave. 🤬

Well, darn. I was sad to see Nick go, but I'd have been sadder had it been Damarr. But... TUCSON!!! The in-laws live there (ALL of them, and that's a butt-load of people). I've actually eaten at El Charro, many years ago when my MIL and FIL were still alive. Please, please, no nopalitos. The thought makes me gag.

I'm not a Rams fan (black and gold till I'm dead and cold, baby!) but I like the commercial.

That's Matthew Stafford, who was the quarterback for the hapless (and hopeless) Detroit Lions for 12 years. He was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, and promptly lead them to winning the Super Bowl. Does that help the commercial make more sense to you?

I watched the Spring Baking Championship, and when it got to the final four, one of the finalists decided that he was done with missing his family and walked away from the competition.

The fortunate thing is that they only do one eye at a time, so you're not completely helpless after cataract surgery. So honestly, once Babs was home for a few hours, she was fine. When I had my first eye done, I was back on the Internet within 4 hours.
