  1. My prediction is that Snowing got Maleficent to cast a spell on fetus Emma to give her magic in order to fight Regina, thereby taking away that she has magic because she's born of True Love. And probably Maleficent will be able to take away Emma's magic, because they can't have someone besides GreatestEverHero!Regina with magic.
  2. I took that line as a reference to the Author, not Robin, since the stupid book plot is supposed to be the big 4B plot. Could be either, I guess.
  3. H is for Captain Hook, introduced in S2.
  4. B is for the Beanstalk that Emma & Hook climb.
  5. That line really bugged me, too. I found it jarringly anachronistic because of it being so linked to a Christian origin. I could handwave it coming from a character with the Modern World curse download, but Hook's not one of those. So my inner copy editor was itching to take a red pen to it. All they needed was to change "cross" to "burden" to make it OK to me. I dunno, it just jumped out at me. It reminds of the time I was reading an Arthurian novel and the author compared something to the size of a football field. It bothered me so much I immediately said "No!" and slammed the book shut. I cannot overlook modern sports being referenced in an Arthurian novel.
  6. V is for Villains who were actually regarded and treated as villains.
  7. ITA. I was LOVING 4A through the first 4 eps. Those eps set things up so nicely and promisingly. Then 4x05 pissed me off beyond measure, and from then on, things started unraveling. All the promise and setups were utterly squandered. The lack of payoff to the Hook's heart arc was the most egregious and table-flippy, but it wasn't the only one. Is there such a thing as authorial misconduct? Because they were guilty of it. How do you take such promising setups and fumble every single one that badly?
  8. Yeah, they're seriously missing an opportunity with the OUAT fanbase.
  9. M is for Mary Margaret, who welcomed Emma to town and gave her a place to stay.
  10. Happy New Year to all! I didn't get to bed until 5 a.m. I am such a zombie today.
  11. I think TVLine is very much in A&E's pocket and touts wahat they want touted. They are pushing SQ big time now.
  12. V is for Villains actually having to be held accountable for their crimes, instead of being apologized to by their victims.
  13. Q is for some Quiet moments for the characters so we can get some actual character moments.
  14. Congrats to Sean and his new wife, Tanya, who were just married (again). So that explains why Michael Raymond James was in Ireland and getting together with Sean and Colin. :)
  15. Oh, yes, I remember the banners. I did two for "Alias." One was a wedding announcement for Vaughn and Contrivance Jones, with a dove and a bat. LOL. Yes, I can only imagine the Once ship wars in banner form.
  16. This is the ep where I WANTED to go all in on Captain Swan, but there was the obvious looming triangle with Neal to make me gun-shy. I loathe triangles with the ubiquitous fire of a thousand suns, so I wouldn't let myself get too attached here. Pan is such a little shit. I liked that we just didn't know what Hook would do with the info about Neal.
  17. I thank every deity out there that I never shipped Buffy with anybody. I watched and enjoyed the hell out of the show, but I was never in the fandom. Just the tiny bits of Spuffy/Bangel fandom drama I've seen make me very glad of that, too.
  18. A&E, I would imagine, since they're the ones that call the final shots. Scott Nimerfro tweeted that he and Jane Espenson fight for SQ in the writers' room. Take that as you will.
  19. Scott Nimerfro IS their new blood this year, which is depressing beyond words. He seems to have only helped increase the Regina obsession/SQ pandering, so that hasn't worked out well for viewers who don't like those things. And even if there were more new blood with a fresh perspective on the staff, I doubt they'd get listened to or have much of an impact. One newbie certainly couldn't overcome the overwhelming Regina obsession on the writing staff. I know one of the writers who left professed on Twitter to shipping CS, and actually asked several of the current writers if it was OK that she still did. Which makes one wonder why she'd have to ask them if it was OK to ship a canon couple! (Maybe b/c shipping SQ is the consensus in the writers' room?)
  20. This cartoon about OUAT is both funny and depressing, because it's true.
  21. I think they're definitely upping and pushing the Emma/Regina "friendship" in response to the SQ demands, so IMO it's affecting what the show is doing. Not in a good way, IMO, because I don't think there's any realistic way in hell that Emma and Regina would ever be more than cordial for Henry's sake and certainly not BFF drinking buddies -- especially after how nasty Regina was to Emma in Volde-ep (4x05). The fact they showed that drinking scene (a version of which could have easily been in the next ep if they were desperate to have it) instead of ANY emotional payoff with Emma for the Hook's heart storyline tells me they're more interested in appeasing SQ fans than story integrity. And I think that's a problem.
  22. But, but, Character B has CHANGED! They're not the same person they were two days ago! So what they did doesn't matter! So Character A needs to apologize to Character B for being traumatized. :sigh:
