  1. I think this is the new name for my (fictional) band.
  2. This may be one of the few times I don't f/f through the musical act. I only know one Hozier song (Take Me to Church), but I absolutely love it.
  3. I remember watching it when I was a young 'un and thinking it could've been so much better if Rand wasn't on-set every day of the shoot.
  4. I thought he repositioned himself to get out of the sun, which seemed to be right in his eyes
  5. Right after the '08 election BBC World Service was interviewing people all across the States, talking about how historic the election was, etc., etc. One woman - an African American in Ohio (I think it was Ohio) - was interviewed in a mall parking lot. She spoke about how happy she was that Obama won. The last thing she said before driving off was "Of course they'll kill him, you know." Totally matter of fact; no emphasis on the "of course" or any other part of the sentence, as if she was resigned to this and had thought long and hard about it.
  6. I always find it interesting that there's such a strong connection b/w Joel & Italian-Americans, considering that Joel's dad was born in Germany and his mom was born in England, and neither had any Italian connection. I thing that you're making the Italian/mobster connection, ShantasticBus, and not the Italian-Joel connection. Really liked Braugher & Crewes this episode.
  7. This isn't Nashville in the media, rather it's Nashville in the media (as in, the city, not the show); it'd be nice for them to include it - or a similar storyline - on the show. IT'd give Teddy something to do other than family stuff. As Music Row Shifts to Condo Row, Nashville Cries in Its Beer.
  8. I feel so old now - all I could think was "nice cover, prefer the original" - even though I get that the cover better fit the atmosphere.
  9. Can we put our collective energy into getting Ron Funches as the third slot on 10.02.2014?
  10. Reese at Carter's desk is a nice touch. But, I am nearly incoherent: I've been inside the "drug processing" house! It is in my old neighborhood. Right around the corner from the pharmacy that they filmed in for the episode that took place in Atlantic City (I think that was the ep, anyway).
  11. Except - since he's got so much power & pull, they probably wouldn't treat Bishop as badly as they were treating Cary.
  12. Nah, it's not the Vaseline, it's the spray-on butt glue: they've inhaled it too much.
  13. I don't get why the family had to move. Especially considering they were in VA; couldn't she do a weekly commute? (Or would security be to much of a concern having two households to cover?) Me too. Nice to see that CBS is keeping both Hackett brothers employed (I think I caught a glimpse of Steven Weber on an ad for NCIS: NO.)
  14. That there's a preview make me so happy! It means we're near the new season. New K&P, yay!
  15. So true. I'd like to update it thusly: They are so addicted to the horserace narrative that they just go from one presidential race to the next and basically ignore all the news &/or other relevant issues that may or may not be political in nature that the country has to deal with.
  16. Everytime I think of Betsey McCaughey, I can't help but recall that she married someone named Ross, she became Betsey (McCaughey) Ross.
  17. Preach it. Practice it in a parking lot; you'll get it eventually. Or, how about not being a lead-foot while parking? That way if you do contact another vehicle, it's a tap.
  18. Michael Che to anchor Update Bye, Cecily. I liked you on the desk.
  19. Really enjoyed this. The Wonder Drug Fire was one that touched my childhood neighborhood - my friend's Dad (Battalion Chief Walter Higgins) was killed that day & I'm glad they covered it. I found Vincent Dunn's (I think it was Dunn) statement that it took 10 years for his PTSD to fully bubble to be quite telling.
  20. Not sure what the "other part of the anatomy is" that's being referred to here, but there's also the part of the anatomy that some people think with, too.
  21. I haven't seen yesterday's episode yet; but I did see The Meltdown (couldn't sleep at 2.30am) and Funches was on - he married Michael Ian Black. He giggled and it made my late-night.
  22. Yep! I wonder if the Sklars just can't perform w/o one another.
  23. Not sure if this is a media mention, or a Eli gold/Alan Cumming mention, but: Alan Cumming will guest host Studio360 on 09.19.2014.
