  1. MLM was one of the "I Love Lucy" clones, it ran on both CBS and NBC.
  2. I was watching a "Maverick" episode, "Hadley's Hunters", Season 4, episode 2, where Bart Maverick has to find some robbers or he'll be framed for the crime. A lot of WB's western stars make cameos as does Edd "Kookie" Byrnes, who's combing a horse's mane in a stable that has the address "77 Cherokee Strip."
  3. The Russians probably stuck it there. I'm sure Mika was unaware... In fact, I'm sure Mika is generally unaware.
  4. I assume the councilwoman who replaced him was supposed to be a AOC look-a-like.
  5. On "The Good Place" last night it was revealed that the "Kars for Kids" song was the official anthem of Hell.

  11. and reveal two puppeteers manipulating the Morning Joe Muppets.
  12. Altman's Marlowe is sort of a man out of time, a 40s detective in the "late Sixties" (actually early 70s) world. You are right about the soundtrack. One of the best ever.
  13. That's one. She's helping one woman at a time.
  14. Many world leaders have called Joe to tell him this, including Winston Churchill, Gandhi, and Pope John XXIII
  15. Z Living, with their crazy scheduling, this week will be showing various retro shows overnight, including "The Lucy Show", "The Beverley Hillbillies", "My Little Margie", "The Red Skelton Show", and "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriett" (the original show about nothing). I'll be interested in seeing "My Little Margie," haven't seen that in a while.
  16. If she won the nationals, I'd hate to see the losers. She's spunky. I hate spunky! (To quote Lou Grant)
  17. You and Howard Hughes. Apparently he was obsessed with that movie. https://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/movies/make-like-a-hermit-and-retreat-to-ice-station-zebra/
  18. On Weds. Sept. 25, 9:30 pm (CT) TCM will show the divisive 1973 Altman film "The Long Goodbye." People tend to like it or hate it. I'm in the like it group. If you haven't seen it (or seen it lately) it's worth a watch.
  19. Having been an obnoxious kid (and adult), these don't bother me.
  20. Luckily Kavanaugh wasn't wearing blackface in any of his incidents.
  21. If the streaming services keep buying exclusive rights to later shows (Seinfeld & Big Bang Theory, for example) maybe the retro channels will finally have to go back to showing really retro shows like Jack Benny and Phil Silvers.
  22. That's sort of an extreme step to escape their clutches.
