  1. The grand juror that tipped off the crime lord about his being indicted worked for his dermatologist. Hence Jubal's wise crack.
  2. I had to have the first part of today's show on in the background on mute which had this going through my head: "Is this a case about and Ugly Christmas Sweater? No, surely not. Seriously, is this an Ugly Christmas Sweater case? Who would sue over an Ugly Christmas Sweater? Jesus Christmas, I'm watching a fucking Ugly Christmas Sweater case." The defendant kept saying the men were touching her, but it sounds like they were touching the dildo hanging between her Brillo pad boobs, not her actual boobs or anyone actual part of her body. Which still, inappropriate but not quite 'they kept touching me'. And MM was right--tell the dudes to lay off and if you don't want to keep doing it, take the damn shirt off (especially if it's so awful that you don't think you should pay for it). The whole party sounded weird anyway, like something at the Playboy Mansion. Some dude is totally comfortable with a woman walking around with a felt Santa muff diving her and is offering a grand cash out of his pocket and someone thinks he's looking for something other than getting into someone's pants? My takeaway from the second case is: $37k for an 8 year old Vette? Is that a good deal? If you can spend that on a "weekend car" maybe don't go all Fatal Attraction over a $600 key.
  3. According to what I can find online, this show is filmed around November of the prior year. Season 1 was in New York, season 2 was in Virginia. I imagine it's at least cool when these film but I'm sure they're amping that up. People have different cold tolerances and the carvers can't be in big puffy parkas to work so I don't think it's as egregious as some other FN shenanigans.
  4. There was only one After the Verdict segment, so I suspect they're running out of personal prattle after two years of this. Which means they either need to go back to talking about the cases or drop the segment.
  5. It's possible the cruise was paid for before they got rent assistance but more cruises are refundable 60-90 days before sailing. Sadly, I don't think it's cynical to think there's a lot of people getting rent assistance/abatements, taking pandemic money, etc who are going on cruises, buying the latest iPhones and other such "essentials" . The dog case was simply awful. The dog sitter was a piece of work. MM had to pull out of her that she didn't actually live where the dog died; it was someone else's place and she apparently got them evicted. The best/worst part was when she just randomly goes "Jesus Christ!" MM did a double take like "did she really just say that?!" yet didn't call her out at all.
  6. So it's going to be a mix of in person and Zoom cases. I guess if you're willing to come to CT on your own dime you can be in studio. After the Verdict is the same, withe personal questions unrelated to cases. Harvey still has his Zoom background and no mic or peanut gallery. The in person halterviews are really weird. It's clear Doug isn't in the hall with them. Either the litigants are talking to him on a TV screen or an unseen intern is feeding them questions and Doug was edited in later.
  7. It feels like they changed their mind about the bat stealing/down payment after filming the pilot. It's not been mentioned, shown in the previouslies or even alluded to. But I suppose it could pop back up. It's just an odd plot to begin with so I hope it's dead.
  8. Murder She Wrote was produced by Universal Studios. That's why they did the one episode that involved the Psycho house. And why it's on Peacock, which is backed by the NBC/Universal library. It's the reverse of Star Trek, which aired on NBC but was owned by Desliu, which later folded in Paramount, causing it to make it's streaming debut on CBS All Access which later became Paramount+.
  9. Me too. He was much more likeable there.
  10. Don't forget litigants with $5,000 refrigerators with socks stuck in the door because the cabinets were (allegedly) 1/8 of an inch off.
  11. Saw a commercial for new episodes next week. Starting off with a bang. Plaintiff: "He was intoxicated...." MM to Defendant: "Did you have sex?" Litigants are in court, but no gallery. I'm surprised they are back in person. I thought the litigants were staying remote for cost and logistic purposes. The lighting looks really dark. Maybe it's just in the commercial for some reason.
  12. There are too many quirky characters on this show. Ernie, Pike, Bam Bam, Ernie's ex girlfriend. Even Lucy and Whistler to a degree. Apparently being off kilter is a side effect of living in paradise.
  13. The struggle is real. Nothing about them has been cool for at least 3 seasons.
  14. I am so over Deeks and Kensi's family drams. As my grandma used to say, children should not be seen nor heard of. Or something like that. Also tired of Sam's dad drama.
  15. I'm not wild about the female host. And I like Jet, but why is he hosting a baking show?
  16. I'm also tired of Aarti's critiques, especially while they're working. I like Eddie and Aarti in general but they're both kinda awful judging this show. They're not bakers and they have no connection to horror movies. They need to stick to judging GGG and not trying to one up Shin Min.
  17. For fucks sake, forcing the tasting to be a cake (cut from the showpiece) and ordering certain flavors is bad enough, but stupid twists that they have to incorporate into half finished pieces just contributes to why most of these pieces look like ass compared to prior seasons.
  18. Margaret not being a bigwig at the law firm was a total WTF. The pilot certainly played it like she was a named partner. It's also really strange that for a legal show the have Todd collecting evidence in a way that would never stand up in court. I like Sklar and Marcia but the rest of the cast is bland, cliche, box checking or some combination thereof. The two leads can only do so much with what they're being given and can only draw people to tune in for so long.
  19. Did anyone else think the grandpas were a couple? Just me? Ok. I don't like bringing in a new team. Aside from the fact they seem cocky, how is fair that they get a pass on 3 rounds.
  20. Yes, same actress and character.
  21. How the hell did the officer that was so bitchy to Eddie and that Jamie was having to dress down for punching another officer (for not playing her daughter in a soccer match, no less) leap frog them to be running the whole precinct?
  22. I don't know how long they can keep the premise going, but I liked it well enough. Probably the best of the 3 new CBS shows this season. I did think it was a little far fetched that Bode wouldn't get parole on a robbery charge, especially when the victim spoke on his behalf.
  23. Ellie must be a shit therapist. She has compared all the men on her tribe to children and relates to each of them in terms of how she has to "manage" her kids. Is this the lens she views all her relationships with me through? Including her patients? It's just as bad as men who infantilize women just because their women.
  24. The Smitty call to Vo made no sense. Is Vo her therapist now? Also didn't get who the kid and mom were. Were they introduced last season? It's about as confusing as that montage with Scott's mom in the premiere that I still haven't figured out what it was supposed to be about.
