  1. J. Nielson got beat! Burt Foster is exactly the kind of champion needed to beat the judges at their own game, lol. The damascus camp knife he made for the first round of the competition was gorgeous.
  2. No social media here either, unless Primetimer and an anonymous, unofficial work site count, lol. When John was talking about the facial recognition software that had trouble identifying POC, I immediately thought of the Racial Sensitivity episode of Better Off Ted.
  3. That's what I'm thinking, that he was kind of doing a bit there: "See how dumb my dogs are? They don't listen to me, haha." ICK
  4. Apartments.com Jeff Goldblum would be fine and dandy over here, please and thank you! 😉
  5. Bill is seriously still harping about how we should've all been eating healthier and exercising and building up our immune systems during a pandemic? Bruh, sorry, but if it's looking like bad shit's about to go down and people are scared, the last thing most of us are going to want to do is start a health plan. More like copious amounts of wine and cake were consumed. He needs to move on from this subject, at least for a few episodes. Also, speaking only from my own personal experience and observation, of course (and maybe I and my family and friends are just really, really lucky) but I have seen little evidence of the dire financial ruin that Bill keeps faux-wringing his hands over. Yes, I've no doubt that some small businesses and people have felt the pinch and of course that sucks, but I don't believe for one minute that Bill cares that much about the neighborhood restaurants that had to close or the minimum wage workers who got let go. Call me cynical. Between the stimulus checks, the extra unemployment money and extensions, paid LOAs, debt relief, delayed bill payments, small business aid, hazard pay and other benefits, I just don't see the scorched-earth destruction that he keeps going on about.
  6. I'm mixed about Ward. When it was revealed in the first season that he was Hydra, I was shook. I flipped and nearly stopped watching, until my sister assured me that it was worth continuing. Since then I've grown to really loathe the character, but it was cool to see him as a good guy in the Framework. He and Daisy have such great chemistry.
  7. Those retailers Bill mentioned have been floundering for years and most were already on their way out - the pandemic may have hastened it, but their fates were already sealed. While some businesses and individuals have indeed been struggling, Bill is grossly overstating both how bad the shutdowns have affected the country's overall economic health, and how much Amazon is taking away from brick and mortar retailers. A quick trip to the local Walmart, Target, Costco, or TJ Maxx will show him that Americans are still shopping in person, and in droves.
  8. Not that I can recall but that would be a good challenge!
  9. Beat the Judges! I quite enjoyed it. I wasn't sure how the setup would be but I liked how they did things. Nice to see them mix it up. Watching Ben work really showed how much his skill level is above most of the other contestants. They are going to have to bring back some top-level past winners to compete against J. and Dave. I can't wait to see them in action. I dig the facial hair on Wil.
  10. I'm binging Community on Netflix and I love whenever he makes an appearance as Professor Duncan.
  11. Yeah he usually only has car folks on, I don't know why he wouldn't have mentioned that. The people he features can wax rhapsodic about at least one form of wheeled transportation.
  12. Regarding Jaida being pageant, I feel like her drag is elevated - she's got a great urban flair that she pulls off seemingly effortlessly. I'm always excited to see her looks, they are all so different and totally pulled together from hair and makeup to accessories. I also loved all the love the queens gave each other. Such a great season, with three amazing finalists.
  13. I liked the Spanish flavor of Ru's bedazzled mask and hat look. Very Zorro. Totally agree that Gigi won the closeup lipsync. She gave full face and kept her movements sharp and to the point. Very expressive without overkill.
  14. I thought Gigi won the close-up lip sync and Crystal and Gigi tied in the creative home lip sync (though I could've done without the bird feeding, lol). To this day, "Take on Me" is my favorite video of all time. That said, Jaida slayed the final song and looked stunning. I enjoyed this a lot and thought they put on a good show, all things considered. Congratulations to Heidi for her well- deserved Miss Congeniality win, and congratulations to Jaida Essence Hall for taking the crown!
  15. Thanks for the link, that was an informative article!
  16. That hole in one was awesome but Joe and Rob's reactions were even better! The hot dogs on a spit crossing is crazy. Thunder From Down Under...nice. 😉
  17. This was a lot of fun. I thought Nicky Doll was a standout, she looked stunning and was very funny. They all had great moments though. I give kudos to Ru and TPTB for how the controversy was handled - what could have been a disaster or even just a mediocre season turned out to be one of the best.
  18. I'm down with any of the final three winning. They're all talented, have great skills and have proven themselves worthy contenders.
  19. I think relationships like these can work, especially when it's so easy to stay in touch with technology. The biggest issue would be worry that the other might cheat, but that happens with married people living together too. Being apart so much would definitely make that easier, but you just have to trust your partner and have open communication about your wants and needs. Max may want children but there is no guarantee that he will find someone that he cares about who feels the same way. I mean, he's handsome and funny and seems like a nice guy, there's no reason why he couldn't, but life is funny sometimes.
  20. I think Jenni and Pauly are legit into each other. If Pauly was ready to give a real relationship a go, I think Jenni would be all in - and if Pauly thought a fling wouldn't ruin their friendship, I think he'd go for it. Classic case of different wants and expectations, but the attraction is definitely there. They'd make a hot couple. 🔥
  21. Yeah, any activities where you have people talking and yelling a lot or breathing heavily around each other, like sporting events, gyms or exercise classes are very high-risk environments.
  22. Yeesh. I thought the writing and acting were both good. I loved Mayor Buddy, definitely the most interesting character on the show and well-played by Thomas Sadoski. The final scene of Tommy getting a call about an investigation of Mayor Buddy, before Tommy and the Mayor walk together shoulder-to-shoulder to face the future, was very well-done and set things up nicely for a season two. 'Twas not to be, but it was fun while it lasted.
  23. I just started binging this show, almost done with Season one and omg it is hilarious! I love it!
  24. The Adam Driver jokes fall just a bit flat for me because I've never seen him in anything, and he's nice enough looking but not really my cup of tea. Now, if he were going on about Jeff Goldblum or Vin Diesel or Taye Diggs...or maybe Joe Manganiello or Jason Momoa or Dwayne Johnson ...😉
