What I still don't understand is how Bill can continue to criticize Trump's response to the pandemic when he basically agrees with it. And his Trump impression annoys me.

Chris Evans was a delight. I like how he said he has no issue staying home alone. I'm not alone so that probably makes it easier, but staying home (other than work) has been absolutely not a problem for me.

I said many doctors, not all. My husband's doctor mentions losing weight in passing, no sense of urgency or importance. Mine was very pleased when I lost weight but didn't mention that I really should beforehand. It just seems like it was something that doctors used to really push for back in the day (lose weight, eat right, exercise), and some of them don't seem to do so anymore. They'd rather throw a pill at whatever health problem we're having. Sounds like a lot of excuses. Let's be honest here: for the most part, we are are a nation of overweight/obese people because we eat garbage and too much of it, and we don't exercise. Bill's a tool for many reasons, and his approach is heavy-handed and smug, and if he mentions it again next week I'll be bitching as usual - still doesn't make him wrong on the subject.

Bari Weiss and SIR Thomas Chatterton Williams were SPOT-ON. I rolled my eyes when Bill started in on the last New Rule, but really he is not wrong about the obesity problem in this country, and I have to agree with him that it's a shame that many doctors don't mention losing weight when it comes to treating and/or preventing illnesses. It's like they know it's a losing battle so they don't even waste their breath. And yes, dammit, I did gain the Quarantine 15!

I love that people are using the internet to get important messages out in the guise of something more frivolous. And on a frivolous note, having been blessed with long lashes but cursed with ones that have little curl, I've used Shu Uemura eyelash curlers for decades. I have one in my purse at all times. Main story was of course appalling. That poor mother, I just wanted to reach through the tv and hug her - and her daughter saying she told her to hide her tears - just heartbreaking.

My husband was shocked to hear that I had never seen The Goonies, even though I've told him many times, lol. It's like it finally registered as we were watching this episode, and of course he is now insisting that we watch it, which is fine with me.

This could not have been a more timely episode. Half of my family believes this is either a Democratic plot to control the country and oust Trump, or that the numbers are greatly exaggerated and it's no worse than a typical flu, or both. Frustration doesn't begin to cover it. I'm beginning to be concerned about their mental stability!
