  1. Their mission this episode was...registering people to vote. Those were the days!
  2. I finally finished watching the season. I'd forgotten so much about it. I enjoyed it more this time around than I did when it originally aired. (It helped to have more seasons to compare it to than just the first one.) I forgot just how annoying Glen was. (They really should have picked Ed the track guy.)
  3. The first 19 seasons ran as half hour episodes. Since Hollywood, they've cut the number of episodes in half and made them an hour long.
  4. According to my cable guide, the next one they're going to show is Las Vegas on September 17. ARGH! I want to see Miami!
  5. I also loved this season. I still do. And that house is just fantastic. Even if it isn't as big as later houses, it's got loads of charm. If I remember correctly, when they cast that season (at least the American cast members), they were looking for people who had a specific reason for going to London besides being on the show.
  6. Speaking of Patrice, he was on the German version of Dancing With The Stars in 2014. He was the first one eliminated.
  7. I totally forgot that Cory and Puck were so close.
  8. I'm watching the marathon and they just showed a scene where Pedro asks Rachel "You don't want to have kids?" and Rachel responds "I want to have kids, I just don't want to be pregnant." Eight children later, I'm pretty sure she's changed her mind on that. : )
  9. Spoiler alert: She was, if not more so.
  10. Kit and Mark were tweeting about it. So excited to see RR2 again. RR Europe and RR Northern Trail were my two favorite seasons. I loved Australia too. ETA: Wasn't RR2 the season where they had to steal the 8 ball from the Real World: Miami pool table?
  11. I DVRed this (since I was busy all weekend) and have been watching in bits and pieces. I forgot how judgy Jon was, especially in the early episodes.
  12. This guy...wow. I couldn't get over that he made her an engagement ring. And that even after meeting and talking to Harriet, he still thought he'd really been talking to Katy Perry. He's definitely the most gullible and/or deluded person I've seen on this show.
  13. I wonder if they'll try to get A-Rod, since he has time on his hands these days. (I'm surprised they haven't tried to get Derek Jeter on the show since he retired - or if they have, I haven't heard about it.)
  14. I would love to see Cody Miller. (Granted, I am slightly biased since he is a fellow IU alum. : ) )
  15. I know, right? That season seemed so racy and shocking at the time. It's downright tame in comparison to the more recent seasons!
  16. I've set my DVR too! I hope they do marathons of other seasons too - would love to see all of the first 9 again.
  17. I had a feeling Nyle was going to win. As I said in an earlier thread, he had the trifecta - eye candy, inspirational backstory, and good dancing. I really liked his partnership with Peta, too. Congratulations to them! That said, I would have been okay with either of the other two winning. There was no obvious dead weight in the finals this year, as we've seen in previous seasons.(*coughBristolPalincough*) I totally forgot Mischa Barton was on the show this season until I saw her tonight. What the heck was Erin wearing tonight? Ugh.
  18. Da Lobsta is going to have a food truck at Taste of Chicago this year.
  19. I got 2 of the 3 finalists right. I am surprised Paige and Mark got in over Wanya and Lindsay. Then again, though, this is about as stacked of a semifinal group as I've ever seen on the show and all of them had a good case to get into the finals. (Antonio and Wanya would have been slam-dunks to make the final in many other seasons.) I think Nyle is going to take the mirrorball. He's got the trifecta: eye candy, inspirational backstory, and can dance.
  20. Of course my least favorite team of the top 3 won. To be fair, they are nowhere near my most hated team to win. (I'm looking at you, Freddy and Kendra.) I too was pulling for Tyler and Korey. (That surprised me - when I first found out they were cast I was prepared to hate them. But I liked them from the beginning - they worked well together and seemed like they were having fun throughout the race.) This really was an anticlimactic finale. As soon as Dana and Matt finished the first task, I knew they would win. I'd be interested to know how much further ahead they were of the other two teams - it didn't seem like it was close.
  21. Did anyone catch the premiere of Murder Among Friends? It was about the Matthew Silliman murder in Apex, NC. (This was a new case to me.) Talk about twisted. I thought it was done well. As for favorite ID shows, I just love Who The Bleep... and Blood Relatives. Unusual Suspects is good too.
  22. Per TMZ: Scott Disick: I'll Dance With The Stars - For $500K. To which I say NO NO NO NO NO HECK NO! The only one of the extended Kardashian/Jenner crew I'd be okay with would be Caitlyn. All the rest can stay away. After the Super Bowl, I thought Peyton Manning would be a slam dunk if he decided to retire this spring. I'm not so sure now, though. I won't be surprised to see someone else from the Grease Live cast. Not sure who, though.
  23. I am so loving this show! It was adorable to see the kids totally fangirling and fanboying over the adult Project Runway designers. Matt was definitely the right one to go this week, but I liked how he was gracious about it - really, all of them have been. My favorites are Zachary, Peytie, and Bridget, but I like all of the kids. There's no one to hate on this show, which is a big change from the last several seasons of original Project Runway.
