  1. Wow! Nailed it on both points. : ) On the Silver Spoons theme, I'd love to see Ricky Schroder on the show. He definitely had some moves back in the day. See this video of Ricky and Alfonso breakdancing: I'll also add a vote for Tim Gunn. As for reality stars, I'd love to see someone from one of the earlier seasons of The Real World. Julie from NY would be a dream, though she would be one of the ringiest ringers who ever rang and I doubt she'd do it. I'd guess the people most likely to want to do it from the first few seasons would be Beth S. from LA, Rachel from San Francisco, or maybe Syrus from Boston. I think Cher would be great - although she's much too big of a celebrity and probably would never do the show. (Although she was in the audience frequently when Chaz was on the show and she did guest judge last year)
  2. Wow. This one was a doozy. The parents were beyond shady, and Sue just seemed exceptionally entitled. Poor Larissa. She seemed to be the only family member who was aboveboard. (Didn't Marcus say she was the one who contacted him?)
  3. I am right there with him on that. I remember when the freestyle was the time for them to pull out all the props, extra dancers, special effects, etc. For the last few seasons it seems like it's been every dance, every week, and this season it's just gotten ridiculous. Len's right, it is very easy to lose the star and their partner when they've got five other dancers dancing around them. I thought Janel was way underscored this week. I loved her dance. And Team Creepy's dance was so much more fun and creative than Team Derek's dance.
  4. I liked Korina's, Sandhya's, and Amanda's collections best. Char used some great prints and colors! Sean was all about the fringe but I did like some of his looks. Those are the ones that stood out the most to me. I hated Emily's. Too much see-through. Too bad, because I generally like her. My opinion could change when I see the actual show. Many times the collections are underwhelming in photos but are terrific once I see models in the outfits actually moving on the runway.
  5. I visited Mood when I was in NYC in April. I didn't realize how hard it would be to find! You do go up there in a really cool old-fashioned elevator complete with operator cranking the lever. I didn't see Swatch in the store when I was there, but there are pictures of him all over the store. (Although when I was on my way over, I did see a guy walking a Boston Terrier with a jeweled collar about a block away, so I may well have spotted Swatch. I didn't go up and ask though. : ) ) They sell "Thank You Mood" T-shirts. Of course I bought one.
  6. Nowhere to Hide on ID. Their previous series about a private eye, Cry Wolfe, was terrible and I thought this was going to be more of the same. But one day I was flipping channels and the first episode ("Three Doctors, One Wife") was on and it just hooked me right away. The cases were so interesting and Steven Rambam tells the stories well.
  7. Can they just abandon him on the island?
  8. I have a copy of The Real World Ultimate Insiders Guide (the book published after the Boston season), and in it, several cast members from earlier seasons commented on how racy and shocking the Miami season was. Miami was downright wholesome in comparison to the current show!
  9. They're bringing back another past contestant via Runway Redemption this season (a la Kate last season). This time the choices are Ken Laurence and Alexander Pope from last season and Amanda Valentine from season 11.
