I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the dancers from Dance Moms on DWTS Juniors, especially now that Cheryl has taken Abby Lee Miller's place as coach.

Did anyone else catch David turning to Lindsay and saying (what looked like) "What the..." right after they announced that Simone was eliminated? This week I really didn't want anyone to go - I was hoping they would say all four were going to the finals. (They did have a final four as recently as last season!)

Yes to all of this, especially the bolded! I liked it better when they saved the elaborate props and extra dancers for the freestyle - it really made the freestyles feel much more special and memorable. That said, I loved all three freestyles from last season. They were all very different from each other and all perfectly suited for the celebrities doing them. Other freestyles from more recent seasons that I loved: Maks and Meryl, Derek and Amy, and Alfonso and Witney.

I'm so glad Bonner went home this week. He was several weeks overdue. I'm happy with the final four. Granted, I am biased as a Cubs fan, but I just love David. He and Lindsay have a great partnership, and it was very sweet when she said he's become kind of a second dad to her. (I wonder if Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo are jealous. : ) ) I already liked Simone from the Olympics, but I've really grown to like Normani and Rashad too. (Even though Rashad's killed my fantasy football team in the past!) Is it wrong that I want all 4 to go to the finals? : )

How did Bonner make it over Nancy? How? Too much troupe in Bonner's and Nancy's dances, though I thought the parts where Nancy and Artem danced alone were just lovely. My favorite dances of the night were Simone and Sasha's Charleston (so much fun!) and Val and Normani's Argentine tango. (Val really kills it with the Argentine tango - I thought of his fabulous AT with Meryl Davis after I watched this.) Also, did anyone else catch Erin calling Peta the hottest MILF she knows?

Judge Rinder danced a Salsa to "Spice Up Your Life" on the most recent season of Strictly Come Dancing. In fairness, Tamar had to withdraw due to a serious medical issue (pulmonary embolisms in her lungs) - she wasn't eliminated.

Apparently Bonner has a bigger fanbase than I thought, or Heather has a much, much smaller one than everyone else. I thought for sure Bonner would be next one out. Glad Nancy wasn't the shock boot tonight.

I'm a Cubs fan and from everything I can see, yes, it is. Bear in mind, David is absolutely beloved in Cubs Nation. Plus you've got the team and many of the players going all out for him - and I'm sure he's also got a solid fan base in Boston too.

Vanilla Ice's first dance last season was to "Ice Ice Baby." Wanya Morris danced to "Motownphilly." Heck, this season alone Erika and Charo danced to one of their own songs.

And that's exactly what he's doing this week! Viennese Waltz.

I really liked Nancy again last night and thought she was underscored again - that's the disadvantage of going first or second, I think. Nick is the best of the Bachelors to be on the show. (I know, I know, that's a low bar!) I like his partnership with Peta too. Her dress was absolutely gorgeous! I liked Val and Normani's dance. I just wish I could have seen more of it and less of the heads and arms of people in the audience. What was with those camera angles? I'm also impressed that she was able to do that just a couple hours after getting off a flight from Japan. I'm generally exhausted after a flight, and that isn't even taking jet lag into account! I continue to love David. Granted, as a Cubs fan, I am biased. : ) I didn't see a lot of cha cha content in the dance, but it was fun and you could tell he was having a blast doing it.

Cubs tweeted out this video today - highlights from Week 1 with a bit of interview footage. Can't wait to see how he does with the cha cha!

They're doing the Quickstep to that song on Monday. Now I'm sure there will be some other Cubs in the audience that evening, especially since they have a 1pm spring training game that day, it's a short flight from Phoenix to LA, and they have an off day on Tuesday. : ) Heck, I wouldn't be surprised to see some of them involved in the dance!

Lindsay tweeted today that that their team name is going to be "Team Lady and the Gramp." : )

I am so excited about this. Don't be surprised to see Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant in the audience Week 1. : ) I have a feeling we'll see him do at least one dance to "Forever Young."

Well, I know who I will be voting my fingers off for. : )

David Ross is a special assistant to the baseball operations staff, not the coaching staff, so he wouldn't necessarily be needed at every game. He's also already in the ABC family - he's going to be a baseball analyst for ESPN this season. Plus he has a book coming out in May. Those would all be points in his favor. As for Rizzo and Bryant possibly being in the audience - the Cubs will still be in Arizona for spring training the first two weeks of the new season - it's a short flight from Phoenix to LA.

YES! I would vote my fingers off for him. : ) Plus you know we'd see Anthony Rizzo and Kris Bryant in the audience. : )

Oh, I hope Ricky Schroder is on this season!

I just loved Calvin and Lindsay's freestyle. So much fun! And Calvin's son is just the cutest. He definitely has his dad's smile. I liked Laurie's and James's freestyles too. Definitely the right final 3. I still think Laurie takes it, but I'll be fine with any of them winning .

I was surprised that I was sorry to see Terra go. When they announced that she'd been cast, I didn't think I was going to like her, but she's been a pleasant surprise. Jana I can take or leave - she's good, but she just doesn't thrill me. I'm guessing Laurie or James for the win, though I would be fine with a Calvin win too.

Agreed! His was the only one that I would love to buy if it was available in my size. Alas, it looks like it only goes up to a size large, or the equivalent of a US size 10. Sigh...

The next marathon is going to be Key West on October 1, per my cable guide.

The first San Diego season was good. The second Las Vegas season was much better than I expected. I liked Paris too.
