How 'bout dem Os?!?! Two nights in a row. I don't think my delicate constitution can take this often...but I'll somehow manage :-)

We stopped in Louisville on our drive to see games in St Louis and Kansas City back in 1998. It's a wonderful place!
  3. I love the movie. I'm not sold on it becoming a musical though. Not everything has to be turned into a musical.
  4. Ann-Margret was in a show at the theatre where I worked (I don't remember which show and I'm not going to look it up now) and Roger Smith was always there with her, carrying her little yappy dog in a basket. He was very nice. And so was she. RIP ETA: I looked it up - it was Best Little Whorehouse in Texas
  5. I hate this guy and the whole concept soooooo much. Seriously, just untuck a regular shirt. I don't even want to know how much these crappy shirts cost. It did make me laugh that in one of those coupon mailers that come to my house monthly there was a coupon for this stupid company. So he already needs to go the junk mail route. Ha!
  6. We'll be up there the last weekend in August. I was thinking of trying to go to a game on Staten Island... if there aren't enough shows for me to see. We'll see how it plays out.
  7. I bought this set a couple of years ago. It's great! And, as pointed out, cheap!!
  8. I am a Pelley fan and I'm furious that he's being taken off the Evening News. I'm glad he'll still be on 60 Minutes, but I don't know what Les is thinking. I can't imagine I'll continue watching.
  9. I bought some many months ago at Target. It was the only place I could find it around here. As far as "improving" scents, Victoria's Secret has totally ruined the Vanilla Lace body lotion. Texture-wise and scent-wise. I'm distraught.
  10. RIP Frank Deford He did his last commentary on NPR just a few weeks ago. A shame he couldn't enjoy retirement for very long.
  11. Mr ebk mentioned that it was remarkable that he made it to 69. I know he's been in poor health for the past couple of years. Thanks for all the great music, Gregg!
  12. I just said to Mr ebk that it's National Wine Day - I'm pouring myself a glass. And he said "so what do you call the rest of the days you do that". I guess I call them days ending in Y... L'Chaim everyone!!
  13. I've kinda been meh about the whole thing. Until now. This finale is awful Really, really, really awful. On the plus side, Mr. ebk didn't hate it. I guess that's a plus.
  14. Okay - this is unforgivable... a pastrami sandwich with mayo??? Never!!!
  15. So far Debra Messing is the best thing in this. I love her You Can't Take That Away From Me. I don't love the orange lipstick she's wearing though. Almost makes her look like a blow-up doll...
  16. I think it's helping me get through it because I really don't have any strong feelings about the original. It's a fun movie that I first saw on a plane on the way to Kenya, which I thought was perfect. So while this isn't great so far, I don't hate it. Also, Mr ebk never saw the original. So he can develop his own, original hate for this one...
  17. I did like Debra Messing telling her husband to go on back to the room during Fever. She wasn't about to leave.
  18. This is also the moment in the movie that I really noticed her English accent - as she walks up the stairs she says "The doctor's not coming. Nobody is coming." (or close to that) Thanks for pointing out something else to look for there.
  19. More Dave! From the GQ June Comedy Issue: http://www.gq.com/story/david-letterman-interview-2017?ncid=edlinkushpmg00000313 I only listened to the end of Apron Stings this morning (I'm going to listen to the whole thing shortly), and I actually teared up in the car. I really miss Dave.
  20. Sir Ian was at my humble theatre way back about 30 years ago (oy vey) doing his one-man show "Acting Shakespeare". He couldn't have been nicer. We especially like to recall how he talked to any and all of the kids who came to see the show (with school groups) for as long as they wanted to chat. A lovely man.
  21. If you have the XM radio, tune in to hear Dave and Paul on Elizabeth Cook's Apron Strings on Wednesday!! I love her show. Really looking forward to this! http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/david-letterman-and-paul-shaffer-co-host-apron-strings-on-siriusxms-outlaw-country-with-elizabeth-cook-300461359.html
  22. I'm fairly certain that I've said this here (maybe in the Grammy thread...) - Bruno Mars makes everything better. Everything.
  23. Cher is totally an icon. I saw Sonny and Cher at Shady Grove Music Fair (in the round) waaaaay back in the day. She's a force of nature.
  24. Celine, you sound fabulous. But what are you wearing - really.
