  1. Just where is Station 19 located such that the nearest aid car/ambulance is 30 minutes away? And what contract does that private car have that allows them to decline patients based on their company policy? And yet, when they're ready to transport Ellie, Aid 19 is suddenly ready. Feel the burn, Jack. "Firefighting may be good for you", she said, "You're young, with few prospects ahead of you." No one smelled the propane leaking out of the RV? A little preventive measures would have gone a long way there, especially since an explosion of that size would have scorched everyone's lungs and skin, and broken every window in the fire house.
  2. They need the bulletproof, bombproof, fart proof, all glass cell that Raymond Reddington occupied for the first few episodes.
  3. I didn't watch it closely enough to tell, but I figure that, although the cars blocked easy access to the hydrant, it was still usable if they did a bit of work to hook up. That would have mitigated the hose stretch across the road. Not worth a rewatch to me.
  4. Casey was right about the engine placement. They lost at least 50-75' of hose line just crossing the street. It would have been more appropriate park next to the structure (safety permitting) and stretch a supply line back to the hydrant. Bonus points for upending the idiot in the SUV. However, chief officers should always live by the maxim "Praise publicly, discipline privately." At least Hermann apologized. As am I, a bit. Where did the secret room exist? You put a hole in the wall and build the room, it juts out into the adjacent room, and is very obvious. I can already see the case against Nuevavillian collapse when his attorney raises the question of illegal search and seizure with the mail. Don't you dare. As for the second incident, apparently E-51 doesn't carry any water after the first 30 minutes of the episode. Fire extinguishers indeed.
  5. Wait, what? When did that happen? I'm surprised they didn't write that into the plot or something. Regarding Samar's condition, a few episodes back, wasn't Red trying to obtain some sort of drug or treatment for a degenerative disease? It wasn't very specific, and I think that plotline was dropped, but I wonder if they're holding that back for a future episode.
  6. Something that has always intrigued me is where does everyone park their vehicles (carpools noted)? Engine has four people, Truck has four people, Squad had four people, Ambo has two, plus BC and admin staff in the front. That's a lot of vehicles. True, the admin staff goes home every night, but there's two shifts of firefighters alternating. That means maybe 10-14 cars per shift, so somebody has to park elsewhere until space is available after shift change. ETA: I was confusing this with Chicago Fire, but the basic premise still stands. They need a lot of space.
  7. My question is why are henchmen so stupid? You always go in armed when you're confronting the boss. And never, ever move over so you're standing right in front of the assassination henchman. Duh.
  8. Dembe playing charades with the group was the highlight of the episode. Who knew?
  9. That was the dumbest thing that Ryan could possibly have done, looking up police records for Pruitt. That's a felony, and departments do prosecute it in order to maintain at least some semblance of public trust. I don't know about the executive and his lawsuit. They could threaten him with a felony charge (true or not) of attempting to spread a communicable disease and said the security guard save untold numbers of people by his actions, just to get him to drop the lawsuit. Kathleen just started the academy so she wouldn't show up for several weeks, at least not in real time. This show plays long and loose with reality, though. I'd bet on Ben, though, since he wants out of there. Neither Maya nor Jack should leave, as this is Shondaland, and it is contractually obligated that at least one couple engage in completely inappropriate sex on occasion without any repercussions.
  10. Toby's Mom: Miguel, is that you? Are those idiot Pearsons still fighting all the time? You're the only sane one we have ever met. Thanks for the news.
  11. Add to all of the drama between Beth and Randall was the fact that, during the dinner, she was giving very clear signs that she was displeased with Randall. If their hosts were at all observant, that's likely to show up back at the halls of City Council, because people love to trade secrets about other people's lives. Recall the kerfluffle that occupied the media after Melania brushed off Donald's hand (for whatever reason) while they were walking.
  12. Johnny Cash's birth certificate shows JR Cash, as named by his father Ray. He adopted Johnny later on, probably for similar reasons as you put. Or so I've read.
  13. I wonder if Gary Larson was informed that he would be an offscreen character in this little excursion, or if he tuned in by accident one night, and said "Wait, what?"
  14. First off, who hired Bull's team to work on this case? Dr. Stratton? Did she get a friend discount, or what? It doesn't seem likely that someone would go to the expense of jury psychology for a case that could be won with good lawyering. Secondly, yes, it's a good old Hallmark Movie end in that the kid goes to live with the nice church lady until he's 18. Except that he's had nothing but brainwashing for 13 years about society and lethal force. Nobody thinks that there might be some residual anger and dangerous tendencies there, perhaps warranting a more structured environment. He is, after all, an expert marksman with a volatile temperament. Whose land were they squatting on? There was never an issue with the land owner, or manager if company or public land?
  15. Somebody from CSI looks at them and exclaims "These are just some bones from a couple of dogs." The crowd gasps, and begins to chant "Kill him. KILL HIM!"
  16. And "Bryce Manley" bore a striking resemblance to a certain actor, too. Swashbuckler, indeed. Reason #2 why I could never be a national politician ( or even a local one): To have to mortgage your own beliefs to attract the attention of a leader that, on any other day, you wouldn't piss on his him if his head was on fire. Reason #1 occurred back in the last episode when Bess had to make the terrible choice of humanity versus national interest. However, that being said, I feel more than a little conflicted that Henry went around the pastor's back to get his daughter to throw him under the bus, even though I didn't like him one bit. That was very interesting when the NOAA guy asked about Nadine, and there was just a quick shot of him wiping his eye as he turned around in the elevator.
  17. "You can't kill me, I'm not really Raymond Reddington."
  18. "The One..." Are we going to get cameos from Rachel, Ross, and Friends?
  19. Maybe it's because she is the closest representation of Intelligence on the show.
  20. Woo hoo, the bugs are back! I can take Liz murdering various people on this show, but, please, not the English language. It's 'Dembe and me', (or 'Dembe and I', as the case may be), not 'Me and Dembe.' Let's give Aram at least one more chance to be clutzy and generally oblivious to life outside the computer room. The Luxembourg scene was cringeworthy. 10-15 SWAT agents to take down a suspect, and nobody thinks to watch the back door. I wonder how much it would have cost to get the rights to Suicide is Painless, from the original M*A*S*H. Methinks the President and his lackey are going to need Olivia Pope next episode. I know how Red could have saved himself, instead of herring... ETA: This is interesting. A few weeks ago, The Corsican was listed as #20 on the Blacklist. Has he been identified as Bastien Moreau, then?

    Season 01

That, and if they had chased him right up to the wall instead of stopping and trying to talk to him, they would have caught him before he climbed up on the ledge. But, of course, he died in the service of the plot. Because all the bundles of cash had bands around them saying "FBI Flash Money. To be used only in hostage situations and drug buys. Do Not Steal. This Means You!"

    Season 01

Favorite line of the episode: "The judge just 'John Hancock'ed' the search warrant." Didn't anyone catch this on the read through? Props to the security guard for disrupting the attack at the outset. Too bad he got clobbered right away. So Kristen the analyst is going to the Academy. I wonder if she is leaving the show, because they sure dropped an anvil with her replacement. Way to go, ubiquitous Asian tech expert. It's a wonder any crime goes unpunished in New York, what with all the camera footage and database information on everyone that law enforcement has on this show.
  23. There's this guy down at the crossroads what maybe might help you with that, for a modest "fee"...
  24. Particularly, as in this case, when the tail number is so easily visible and easily tracked. In real life, this helicopter, N355AG, belongs to a company called Hover View, and their website shows a close up of that very same copter. They specialize in aerial photography. Depends. Which is the worse punishment?
