Sinbad was more interesting than Dayton. Now that was a disappointment.

I find that Madison's ruthlessness makes her a little unlikable as a protagonist.

Framing the current Master's (Missy) death as one from which she could not regenerate feels a lot like Moffatt taking his toys home with him. "Good luck ever trying to use the Master again, Chibnall."
-
Yes but my point was, how much faster could he have gone?
-
I think it was only about 15 minutes or so for the Doctor between the time she was shot and the time he finally found her as a Cyberman, wasn't it? I wouldn't call that abandonment.

That was pretty sad. Not just Bill's fate, but all those poor people in ignored pain.
-
Not for me.

Maybe that's how long a spirit like Bob can stay in the world until he's called back. Which is why he created a duplicate in Dougie who would be called back in his place. Whoever threw up first would be the one dragged back. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Dougie doesn't have a paper trail past 25 years or so back. I love that Ernie Hudson's character is called "Davis".

What? She was a giant eyeball! That's almost the only one I always remember clearly, lol.

I missed why there were Victorian soldiers on Mars at all.

S03.E01: Eye Of The Beholder / S03.E02: The New Frontier
Starchild replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Fear The Walking Dead
I got the impression that the rats were driven further into the building by the zombies who came into the sewers when Nick pushed down that barrier. I didn't think they'd always been there, at least not in those numbers. The ease with which they use this trick is ridiculous. Smear it across your forehead and cheeks and that makes you invisible? Are the writers reacting to the criticism some have had for the mothershow that people should use the gore disguise more often? If so, they should at least make it a little more...extensive? It shouldn't be that easy. Ooh, then Strand and Travis could hook up? -
I found that pretty anti-climactic. Maybe because the big finale was the Doctor telling us what was happening, rather than them being able to show us somehow. Though that would admittedly be pretty difficult because...Bill thinking about Mum broke the aliens and also kept the big powerful machine from killing her? Weak.

I haven't found Bill to be an amazing companion. But she wasn't Clara so that made her awesome by comparison. But there was an immediate chemistry between Erica and the Doctor, and I found myself hoping Bill would disintegrate when the Monk touched her, so Erica could join the Doctor as a new companion (though not with a crush on him).

Did he admit to it when he went to Ray's apartment? I can't remember.
-
Aren't the three of them just living in it? BTW all this talk of Maurice reminds me...did we ever find out why he glued the old man's mouth and nose shut in the first place?
-
Didn't they say they needed a Time Lord to execute a Time Lord? And that Time Lords are currently very hard to find? Could they actually be brothers? That would certainly explain the life-long love/hate relationship. I wonder why they didn't just store the vault inside the TARDIS, then the Doctor wouldn't be trapped in one place for 1000 years. By the way, did I miss the explanation for why Nardole is around?

Jimmy had me going there at the end. I wonder if he went in there planning that, or just took advantage of the opportunity. I know it's always most convincing to mix some truth in with the lies, but that was mostly all truth. It felt like, right in the middle of a real breakdown he had the idea to turn it around on Chuck.

How long is it? It seems we won't be getting written recaps, and personally I'm a little disappointed by that. I can read through a recap in 5 minutes. I don't really have time for podcasts.
-
But they were killed in the real world, whereas Coop and Gerard were not. By the way, was Evil Dale talking to Phillip Jeffries? Did I hear that right?
-
Y'all make reasonable points.
-
Maybe, but he's been promoted to Chief, so he can't be a complete basket case. Guess I'll just have to suspend my disbelief. Every protagonist needs one or more antagonists, after all.
-
Gloria's boss blocking her investigation seemed like a real contrivance to me. Why would any half-decent cop not care about solving a murder, especially with so many coincidences that it's unlikely they're actually coincidences? It isn't realistic.

For what it's worth, the story said that Sullivan was Harry's other grandfather, not the one who went to China with his boyfriend and stole bits of the wall.
-
Personally I preferred Harry to Paul. I do wonder if the next companion might be drawn from this pool. I don't know if Bill will still be a companion in the next series, but if the next Doctor is female, I expect they will have a male companion. Because gods forbid nuWho has a same-gender dynamic in their two leads. After all, if the Doctor doesn't have grey hair there MUST be the possibility of romance. [insert rolling eyes here]

Could Susan also be River's granddaughter?
