I don't get it either. It seems everyone was fine until Mrs. Fuyura drove a stick into her brain. Options? Her suicide triggered the appearance of a vengeful spirit (like she had some kind of unfinished business) The spirit made itself known to her for some reason, and triggered her suicide It came after her because of her willingness to assist an abortion (which never actually happened) It followed her (and her family and friends?) from the old country, though it took time to find them Why attack the Fuyura family, but somehow center its purpose around Chester? So far the only thing the two families seem to have in common (besides acquaintance) is Chester's unborn child, whom Mrs. Fuyura was willing to help abort.

I know Cass can grow his parts back, but even hooked up to two bags of blood I didn't think he could do it quite that fast. Wasn't that the same kid who tried to rob him? Didn't he give back the boots he took from Jesse after J killed his dog?

This interview conceit has to go. I have that "Convoy" song on my iPod (don't judge). I hope they find Sherry. And I hope Madison is with her. Yeah I said it.

S05.E08: Is Anybody Out There?

I figured he had nowhere else to go, it seemed more about sex than love. Who regularly walks in and says "I haven't got long" to someone they love?

Agree the execution is lacking lol

If I'm getting it right: The reason no one can easily travel in and out of the area is because that big-ass storm last season washed out roads and bridges Max Headroom pretended to be stuck there, so he could lure them away from his warehouse Following the ruse, they intended to use the plane to go in and help, then get back out, but it crashed and stranded them Most of them went in the plane but the truckers, Charlie and Strand stayed behind; this is why they are still closer to locations like the brewery and the warehouse Inside the isolated area, Morgan et al. have a crashed plane that needs fixing, so they can fly themselves out (and the kids, if they want to leave) Outside the isolated area, Strand et al. fried the engines of Daniel's plane, so they can't fly in to the rescue, but they realized they could use the balloon to fly in some parts; presumably the truckers are continuing the work on Daniel's plane As for the kids, Alicia is going after them because she realized they made the decision to stay in the camp (which she originally intended to respect) before they were able to hear from Grace that the second reactor will soon melt down and the camp will no longer be safe Finally, no one there knows how radiation works, including Grace -- too bad for them that the world blew up before Chernobyl could be shown on HBO

I'm guessing he's the one who told the authorities that Viktor was working when he shouldn't have been. Earlier in the episode, Daniel told his ex about that, and if it's something that could lead to deportation I don't think he'd be going around telling everyone.

Yeah this was pretty bad. Nothing really happened, which made the episode seem to last forever. I knew it was Serling before the first commercial break, because of the "classic Serling" position they had the shadow standing in just before she ran behind the supermarket set shelves. So waiting another 50 minutes for the end felt interminable. I will give a second season a try if they cut it to 30 minute episodes.

I love Ben!

Personally, I'll finish out the season, but if they are still 60 min. when they come back for S2, I'm probably going to be out.

I love that not only did Catherine NOT attend the funeral, she treated it like a party.

My god, if I worked for either of these firms I would quit, who needs all this drama? What is it that Chuck wants so bad he'd sacrifice Wendy and his father for it? This blockchain stuff? Since when did he demonstrate care for free and fair voting before?

It's funny how every show with an alternative timeline has our heroes in brown leather.

For this series to end in an even remotely satisfying way for me, the big 3 (Axe, Chuck, Wendy) should be in jail. Many of the rest of them also deserve it, but I could live with it if they went free. Are we supposed to feel sorry for Wendy now? Because NOPE.

Good episode, but could have been told in half the time.

Thank goodness for Mafee, one of the only relatable (read: human) characters on this show. Wendy, do you actually still have a soul in there? You want redemption? The only thing that will work for me is you helping to take down Bobby. We'll let Connerty worry about the Rhoadeses (pere et fils).

This made no sense. Never mind how as soon as he threatened profits of some of the most powerful companies in the world, he would have been immediately shut down by the capitalist/government lobbyist machine. And they can't fix the ACA in 10 years but they can change the rules for who can become a Doctor with an exec action? What about the fact that it's law that you have to be 35 to run for president? If the rest of it weren't so ridiculous I might have been able to handwave that, but... Not sure how much more leeway I can grant this incarnation.
-
I may have missed it, but... Whatever caused the Orville to crash into the Pacific...did they fix it before taking off back into space? Because if they didn't, how could they get it airborne again? And if they could anyway, why did it crash in the first place?

I was thinking the same thing. When she hit him he looked genuinely shocked. I didn't get the sense that they'd had a prior off-screen discussion where boundaries were set. No professional would leave a visible mark without consent, especially with a public figure. Shenanigans!
-
What's that about anyway? She's willing to ruin the life of an innocent bystander? Taylor never did anything to Wendy to warrant this next-level personal shit did they?
-
Well, fuck. And I was just thinking at the beginning of the episode that Sweeney was becoming my favourite character.

First Enterprise, then Discovery. I don't understand why they're working so hard at avoiding a 24th-century, post-Voyager series.
