  1. Emily was both gorgeous and charismatic. She looked very high maintenance - fake hair, teeth, and boobs, and a clothing budget that was larger than most of the previous bachelorettes' entire pay - but she was very classy and well spoken. Plus, she had the tragic backstory of her child's father dying in a plane crash the weekend that she found out she was pregnant. She was in a league of her own, IMO, and there's no way Christina could measure up. I think she's a lot better suited for BIP, and I hope TPTB have already locked her down for that. Yes, I agree, and I think she would make a better bachelorette than Christina.
  2. They're not just hanging out, he's counseling her.
  3. I'm against Christina because the show would probably spin her as the poor man's Emily - blonde, Southern single mom. Of all the options I'd prefer Ariel, and I think the men would go gaga for her. As long as she doesn't do her own makeup.
  4. Definitely the lips are even more inflated than usual, plus it looks like a terrible Photoshop job trying to make her face look more narrow.
  5. Kylie did a cover story for Vanity Fair Italia with the headline "chi mi ama mi segue" which I think means "who loves me follows me." My Italian is pretty basic, so maybe I'm missing some subtlety here, and/or it could be a bad translation of what she said in English, but it sounds like a pretty blatant call for social media followers. I haven't read the whole interview, but if you're interested and understand Italian, you can read it here. ETA: Just read the interview. Kylie doesn't reveal anything new. Most eyebrow-raising thing isn't coming from her, but from the writer, who claims that the KarJenners are "un clan composto da sole donne" - "a clan composed solely of women." I hope nobody tells Rob.
  6. I wish them all the best, but I could never touch, let alone marry, a man who's had sex with Demi.
  7. I agree. The only time he really perked up was when he got to speak French, and they're not going to be in a French-speaking country every season.
  8. I have no respect for people who have 10k unread emails in their inbox. It takes only a few minutes to set up a couple of rules. The majority of work emails are calendar invites, auto-notifications, and other stuff that doesn't need to be read and can safely bypass the inbox and go directly to a designated folder.
  9. Anastasia is a social media marketing manager, and he sent her home because of second-hand allegations that she talked about followers. He wouldn't even give her the benefit of the doubt that she was most likely talking about her work. If him kicking out Anastasia and berating Greer for talking about her work hadn't happened so close together, I probably wouldn't think much of it, but having that happen two episodes in a row definitely gives me pause. It looks like he's in a Meta office (parent company of Instagram and Facebook), hence the hashtag and quip about followers. Some of the Meta offices have a silly photo op room like the one he's in; the one I used to work at in Seattle has a room with everything upside down, so when you take a picture in it it looks like you're in zero gravity.
  10. The awkwardness of the virtual cocktail party and rose ceremony felt like a throwback to March 2020 when most of us were trying to figure out Zoom. There was so much blatant producer manipulation in this episode, from Gabi having to parade her shopping haul in front of the other women and Greer having her breakdown right in front of Gabi's room, to Kaity being chosen to deliver the gift basked and whisper sweet nothings to Zach through the door. I agree, and it left a bad taste in my mouth after the way he treated Anastasia in the last episode. It seems to be a theme on this show that every time a woman lets on that she's passionate about her career she is vilified (unless it's a "do-gooder" career like nursing, non-profit work, etc).
  11. I didn't hate it, but it does have some major flaws. It was pretty obvious from the get-go that the lunar real estate is a scam, but not even Shirley, who seems to be otherwise very smart, has caught on to it. The "retro-futuristic world" is interesting, but it's weird how some technologies are super advanced (levitating and self-driving vehicles, robots) and others not at all (no cell phones or LCD screens). I also don't buy that Joey is completely oblivious that Jack is his father. He must have come across an old picture of Jack at some point, and also some kind of paperwork - his own birth certificate, parents' marriage license, title of the house - so he would have at least known what his father's name is (unless Jack changed it after he left). Plus, Jack's mother seems to have lived in the same town the entire time, and seemed eager to have a relationship with her grandson, so she would have been in Joey's life in some capacity.
  12. I wouldn't mind a season that takes place in a large city, after two seasons in a resort setting.
  13. In addition to what @Bastet and @theredhead77 said, I would even go so far as to not leave your purse and phone unattended at work. If someone feels so entitled to your money that they ask for a loan every month, I wouldn't put it past them to "borrow" your checkbook or use the Venmo app on your phone, and justify that as being OK because they always pay you back.
  14. It *would* be hilarious if CH came back with a higher salary, so that, coupled with the $10M severance package he got two years ago, he'd end up making more money than if he hadn't been fired.
  15. Last week the director of another team tried to cover up his failure to schedule a really important task by claiming that the task is my team's responsibility. After I presented several pieces of documentation showing that (a) this type of task has always been performed by his team for projects on which our two teams collaborate, and (b) it was explicitly assigned to his team during quarterly planning more than a month ago, he accused me of being unproductive and not a team player. Our company has a pretty tolerant culture and nobody would have thought less of him if he had just admitted the mistake and set about fixing it. But some people always default to bullshitting when things get hard. 🙄
  16. Considering who the other lead was, all of that makes sense to me.
  17. Yes, it sounded like the "top 14 women gain 50k followers" comment was based on quantitative research she had done for her job. Not sure whether she was asked or she volunteered that information, but it sounded like a professional factoid she wanted to share vs. proclaiming her own goal to gain followers. It was a moot point though, because, as Anastasia herself said earlier in the episode, Zack already had his favorites and she wasn't one of them. She likely wouldn't have made it past this episode either way. I'm just surprised that he didn't eliminate Kylee as well - everything about her is fake.
  18. The only reason I still watch The Bachelor/Bachelorette is to know who is who on BIP.
  19. I had no idea Aidan was coming back until I just saw this photo on the People website. This solidifies for me that the reason for the reboot wasn't "we had so many stories to tell" but "most of the original cast needed a paycheck."
  20. Not petty at all. You should report him. Congratulations! I'm glad the timing worked out so you're able to pick the best out of three.
  21. Good for Hannah, but I never want to watch a reality show that features something like that.
  22. I don't understand what's wrong about Kim referring her friends to professionals whom she trusts, unless she's getting a financial incentive from it.
  23. Before Brianna left, she said that she and Charity "don't feel safe" around Christina, so I was wondering about racism as well. I don't want to accuse someone of racism without proof, but that could be the reason why TPTB let Zack eliminate Christina right away and not made him keep her around for more drama.
  24. I remember her limo entrance. I thought the ear licking was disgusting (especially post-pandemic) and violating, because she sprung it on him without asking for permission. IMO she should have been removed right then and there.
