Basketball Wives LA - General Discussion
luckyroll3 replied to Peper81's topic in Basketball Wives LA
Jackie continues to forget that she's on camera and continues to straight up lie every time she speaks to someone. Did anyone catch how last week she told Evelyn she couldn't access the link Tami sent her, but then on this episode she told Tami that she never opened the message? That and her fabricated story to Evelyn about how things went at her party, followed by her fabricated story to Tami about what she told Evelyn. Evelyn needs to stop with the "we're not in high school anymore"s because not that long ago she was leaping and running over tables to slap someone (was it Jennifer, who showed up in this episode?) upside their head. And word @Watermelon about Tami not realizing how messy she is. She also kept saying she doesn't do drama, and I was like, "girl, when don't you do drama?" Even her daughters know her dramatic ass well enough to remove her from the situation. Delusional. Although, Tami looked absolutely gorgeous when she was in the kitchen, with no makeup and her hair pulled back, talking to her husband. She's pretty all the time, but her behavior/attitude is not cute. However, the fresh face was absolutely stunning. -
Kylie Update: My order came in last week, and they already pissed me off because one of the lip kits I actually paid for (not one of the free ones) was missing! So I emailed customer service ASAP and I was asked to send a picture of the items I did receive, which made no sense to me, because I could have easily removed something from the picture if I was unscrupulous. Anyway, they've finally "decided" that I was missing something from my order and said they are sending a "one-time package replacement", but it will take 7-10 days to process. <insert eyeroll> In regards to the product itself. I tried the Brown Sugar Lip Kit. I used it both with the lipliner covering my full lip underneath and without. Although I had to use a separate, darker lipliner to just outline my lips (so I didn't have crack-pipe lips, cause the struggle is real with some of these nudes!), I will say that the lipstick went on well, didn't feather, and was long-lasting. I even put it through eating some olive-oil covered veggies, and it didn't budge. I'll be trying the darker color I got, Vixen, to see if it still holds up, especially for the feathering.

Love & Hip Hop: Miami - General Discussion
luckyroll3 replied to Cocoa Puff's topic in Love & Hip Hop: Miami
Holy shit. I know Bryant. We were good friends in college and lived next door to each other in the dorms. I even went to his birthday party last year (that was a double party for him and LisaRaye - and I got to meet Da Brat!). I didn't even know they were actually moving forward with this Miami version, they've only been talking about it for the past 2-3 years. -
I really enjoyed Ekko of the show, especially how he worked with all the kids. I haven't heard his music, but he definitely has a talent for grooming young rappers.

Saw this after I also commented on why I like CT. I agree with what you said (and you said it much better than I did). But can we rewind for a second.....Beth has children?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I share in your horror and reiterate my belief that some people (a high percentage of them on this and other BMP shows) need to be prevented from procreating.
-
I've never forgotten the things CT has done. But like @shelley1234 pointed out, he is one of the few that never made excuses for his behavior, and also one of the few who we've seen grow. Part of the reason I can't stand Johnny is because he is still the exact same person he was when he showed up in Key West x-million years ago. He's either a man-child or committed to playing his role for the camera. I've never considered CT to be one who puts on a show for the camera. Sometimes he's nice; sometimes he's fucking insane. And that's just the way he is. I don't mind that, but I can certainly see where many people would.

It says a lot about the type of people they recruit when Ashley is the smartest person on the team. Sad to see Darrell go, but glad we get to keep CT. They definitely got me with the Diem anniversary. I was never a Diem fan, but that moment between her and CT on the mountain is one of my all time favorites on this stupid show because it was just so damn genuine and real. Plus, Diem's battle always makes me so damn emotional because we're about the same age and I can only imagine what it must have been to deal with that on top of everything else that's going on in your 20s and early 30s. Again, not happy with how they screwed this format, but I'm sticking around to hopefully see CT take this.

Shemar is hot, but he's been pinging my gaydar since he first showed up as Neil's brother on Young & the Restless. If he and Phaedra actually started "dating", I wouldn't be shocked.

LIP products: lipsticks, lipkits, glosses, balms all that jazz
luckyroll3 replied to Petunia13's topic in Beauty & Fashion
I have several. I love the colors but don't like how they apply, particularly on the lips. It's like they go on too thickly, which makes sense because the formula would have to be thicker to be used for cheeks and eyes. I know I probably need to use a lip brush, but I was too lazy for that when I first got them. I plan to retry them with the lip brush, though. I haven't used them as eye shadow, but the ones I have tried as blush looked great. -
Petty Andy is the best Andy! Although, my favorite part of last night's episode was when Andy started sweating really hard during one of those Kandi/Phaedra exchanges. I sympathize with Sheree's situation, but I seriously give her the side-eye because I totally believe she's using it to keep her peach. She definitely suggested that Kenya was the reason Matt is abusive towards her. And I think that she went home, thought about it, and said, I can use this as my storyline. Every time Shemar Moore is on WWHL, he tries real hard to convince everyone that he's into women....

I got my package on Friday. One item that wasn't one my original but I purchased once I realized it wasn't sold out was the Farsali Unicorn Tears/Essence that everyone has been raving about. I used it today after washing my face with my clarisonic and the algenist cleansing oil gel thing (can't remember the name, but I love it), and applied it before my moisturize. My skin feels great (it always does after the clarisonic) but I'm not sure I notice a huge difference. Has anyone else tried it?

Didn't she also just have a kid recently? Or was that a while ago???
-
I haven't gotten the order yet, but I will let you know.
-
Same here. You're better than me, although I did get some lip stuff (2 Bite Lip pencils and 2 Too Faced Melted Choclate Mattes), I definitely exerted some restraint. (But, I also bought some Kylie lip stuff earlier in the week...they had a really good sale [I bought 4 things and I got 3 additional for free) and I wanted to try them to see if they live up to the hype.) Sweet!

No wonder he never made it as an author. What about the news in regards to Black Nasty? Po-Po came round Trina's house to get him? How many stops did they have to make before they realized that's where he was? What did he do? How did Towanda know he was into some shit? And why she ain't say nothing to none of the other sisters? And why is Trina so damn salty all the damn time? And why was Tamar at the salon when she's had those yarn dreads in for the past 10 months? So many questions....... Also, I really miss Pop-Star Trina. She was fun.

Not necessarily. One Republic is on Timberlands' label, and I can see Ian helping to further diversify it. I like this idea. Like a return to Making the Band (man, I miss MTB 3 - Danity Kane popped up on my ipod yesterday). I think this show exemplifies much of what is wrong with finding "popstars" on YouTube. Half of them had never performed in front of live audiences before this show and the other half can't carry a damn tune. Madasyn looks so damn uncomfortable everything she's on stage. I had to laugh when her mom tried to compare her to Adele. Even the shy musicians/stars come to live and embody something entirely different when on stage (MJ, Janet, Prince, and Britney in her heyday immediately come to mind). She just doesn't have it. And she needs to cut her hair into a fun bob; the long hair doesn't fit her. And hermon sucks. Aushlund is cute, but every time she sings and no one tells her she's off key is only doing her a disservice. She would definitely benefit from vocal coaching....she has everything else. And word to whoever said she should go a Dsiney/Nick route. Cravetay and her mom will get blackballed early in her career. Although I agree with a lot of what her mom says in regards to the other moms (let someone come sanctimoniously quote scriptures to me....oooh boy), she is quite rude and disrespectful and has passed that on to Cravetay. Yeah, I thought it was unfair to judge the managers on what was essentilly just the kids' personalties. He didn't really give the managers anything to manage. At least on the rap game, they do the manager swap after the marketing research and they identify a few things the manager and artist should focus on. This one was just, "they have an interview."

Is this face #5? 6? She really did transform herself into a complete other person. Nothing on that face is original.

We need to start an official drinking game.....

[FlavorFlave] Wooooooooooooow! Where the heck has she been? I can't stand her, but I would love to see her pull her mean girl crap on this generation of mean girls. OG Mean Girls vs Millenial Mean Girls. There's your premise; you're welcome, BMP! Also, so glad it's not Beth, but you know good and well that if she were offered, she would accept in a nano-second.

S09.E20: The Finale - "Chateau She Did That"
luckyroll3 replied to Jamie Satyr's topic in The Real Housewives Of Atlanta
I agree. She was cute when RHoA first started, just with crappy wigs. -
Glad we aren't the only ones disappointed and baffled by this.

The Nars Loaded Palette went quick! I usually don't wait till sales to buy the items I really want, because this always happens. :-( Surprisingly, that was the only item I lost. And I only ended up spending $220.

Yeah, they practically live on the same block.
