I HATE the stage/set.

I'm hispanic and have lived all my life in Central America. The movie really hit home in how maids become a part of one's family. They are always present, but not usually seen (I'm sure that makes zero sense), for example when Cleo knew perfectly what was going on between the Mr. and Mrs. and was shooing the older boy away from eavesdropping. I, too had a maid throughout my childhood. She was with us for 10 years, got pregnant and had a baby. That really, really hit home. Anyway... The cinematography was great, and the editing as well. HOWEVER there were a few too many "glamour shots" for me, as in extended scenes that serve little purpose and scream OSCAR BAIT! for me. For example: Focusing on the broken mug at the Christmas party.

The EW ballot list made everything more confusing! IMO, only Rami Malek is safe. Regina King will probably win. Olivia Colman could best Glenn Close, same for Richard E. Grant vs Mahershala Ali. Also, if Roma will split the vote, taking Best Foreign Film but losing Best Picture. The Favourite is the film to most likely benefit from split voting.

Six months late and I just finished watching S10. I think Dorinda is so, so sad. She's clearly never gotten over the death of her husband and seems to desperately miss him. That's where the drinking, coke (ALLEGEDLY) comes from. She seemed desperate trying to convince us she likes John. I'd forgotten they've been together for 6+ years. Yes, she needs rehab. But she also needs SOMETHING to look forward to when she gets out of rehab. Out of all the HW's, I feel like she's the only that has a regular housewife life--as in she doesn't work (outside of the show). IIRC, we've never seen her at work or any business ventures.

I'm outside the US and Canada...I'm peeved by geographically restricted videos. What the fuck, Bravo? It's a stupid trailer for the Real Housewives I want to watch, not footage of secret government experiments. SNL's videos on YouTube are also geo-restricted.

I'm peeved by the expectations that come from destination weddings. It's lovely that you're getting married in a tropical destination, but don't pressure people into spending $1000+ just to GET TO YOUR WEDDING! Plus, the cost of clothing, time off/vacation, gift, hair, etc, etc.

I read Marie's book about three years ago. Getting rid of clothes was so overwhelming I didn't move to Phase 2 until several months later, and finished the whole process in a little over a year. I'm still surprised the entire process is done in a month or so. Since then, I've become somewhat of a minimalist. I'm not sure if the KonMari method is rooted in minimalism, or if it's a gradual next step. For example, EmptyNesterDad decluttered a lot of the baseball cards, but they were not presented in an organized way (5 boxes in a corner). Did he declutter most of them or simply organize them properly? The show is good, but not nearly as good as the book.

Great performance by Clint Eastwood. Even though he's not on the Academy Award Best Actor shortlists, I wouldn't be surprised to see him nominated on Tuesday. Loved the story, especially how quickly things fell apart. Just as quickly as he jumped into being a mule. It's great to see Andy Garcia as well! Oh and FUCK YOU to the granddaughter who bitches him out when he says he can't make it to dying grandma's bedside. He PAID for your wedding and he ALSO PAID for your beauty school. (I'm unsure if the beauty school graduation scene was meant to be unintentionally hilarious).

I completely agree. My friend's kid "will only eat": chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, eggs and pasta. Not any pasta, mind you, the $15 pasta from an expensive hotel restaurant nearby. AND she asks him "What do you want for dinner?" which leads to her running all over town looking for whatever crazy thing he ordered. I was taught to eat whatever was placed in front of me.

Trinity looked absolutely GORGEOUS in her white angel drag. Beautiful. I don't think I've seen a queen serve such polished looks since Courtney Act.

Pet Peeve: Airport security. Yes, it's a hassle. But for the love of God, people, move it along! Start getting ready to take your shoes off before you reach the conveyor belt. WHY would anyone wear strappy sandals that take FOREVER to remove, same goes for pseudo punk guys in knee high Doc Martens. Also, have your passport and boarding pass in hand.

A few peeves: I understand straws are wasteful and I respect the No Straw Movement. In fact, I'll often not use a straw at a restaurant. BUT if I'm at a restaurant that doesn't look 100% clean, I. WILL. USE. A. STRAW. I'm peeved by the baby killer looks I get from the waiter when I ask for a straw. My birthday was a few weeks ago. I had a common, non-assuming boring cake. Which is what I wanted. Everyone was surprised I didn't have one of those extra super themed cakes that are basically all style and no flavor. People kept bringing it up so much I realized it'd been years since I've had a slice of simple birthday cake -- everything is covered in fondant and 3D these days. Bah, I long for simpler times.

Dare I say Ru felt threatened by Valentina? Like, this bitch may actually just eclipse me! Even though it's riddled with drama, I'm enjoying some of the honest (albeit bitchy) conversations between the queens, especially drag queen vs. Instagram girl. Talent vs. No Talent.

I'm tired of the queens who get a schtick and run. it. to. the. ground. Monet, I'm looking at you. Sponge. Monique, I'm also looking at you. Brown cow song, brown cow outfit, second brown cow outfit in confessionals WITH a brown cow cap. Bitch, really? I love Trinity, and she'll always be Trinity Taylor to me. Trinity the Tuck...too much of a schtick. See above. Rooting for: Trinity, Latrice, Valentina and Manila. I'm surprised we didn't have the past winners creeping up on the eliminated contestant, setting up a return. Also...Trixie looks way out of her fucking league in the Hall of Fame next to Alaska and Chad Michaels. Fuck, I'm still not over Shangela being robbed.
