@citychic I agree with your whole post! Barb is just a flawed human being, as well, at the end of the day but I do believe she has worked really hard to help her children and has done her best. Whether her best was good enough is irrelevant because, she really probably couldn't have done anything more given her own situation and problems. You can't give more than your best. And your best and my best can be two very different things. I agree. I'm not a therapist but am studying to be one (not that that makes me anywhere near an expert or highly knowledgeable) but from what I have learned about BPD, it seems like the whole pattern with men and the interactions she has with them and her mother just screams BPD. I really think she would have to be single and stay single to get any work done on her life though, and that just doesn't seem like that will ever be a possibility for Jenelle. She would also have to be willing to do the work like you said, which I don't think she would ever be willing to do that while she is involved with this show. The show would have to end for her to ever seek the help she needs to get better. Right now, she is surrounded by enablers and people telling her she is right and perfectly rational. With that kind of support, she'll never become self aware enough to work on herself. It's sad.

I think it seems like Barb gets a pass because Jenelle's behavior makes Barb look like Mother Theresa. Obviously, Barb isn't perfect and has her own set of issues but when compared to Jenelle, well, there is no comparison. It's all already been said. Barb shows compassion and love for other people, something I've yet to see from Jenelle. Barb has shown some improvement with the yelling and fighting. I mean she did walk away from Jenelle at the bday party instead of going at it with her. She works a full time job even though she gets money from the show. And I think the biggest reason she deserves to keep custody of Jace permanently is when they both discussed the issue, Jenelle only talked about how not having Jace affected her and how she felt and how Barb was being mean to her. Barb said she loved Jenelle and Jace and didn't want to hurt Jenelle but had to think about what is best for Jace. That right there, even if I hadn't seen the show would make me side with Barb in regards to Jace. Every time, hands down. Oh my god! lmao This gave me a much needed laugh. ???

A few years?? She needs to head there now! Stat! I know! I prefer humans looking, well, human. Faces should move, have lines from laughing too much, lines and crinkles that showed how much you have enjoyed your life. Human beings shouldn't look like plastic dolls.

That is disgusting, WTH?! And while I used to think Javi was a pretty good guy underneath it all, if he's with this trash, I've lost the teeny tiny bit of respect that I had for him. I don't want Lincoln or sweet little Isaac around that. I mean it's bad enough they have to deal with the crap their mother pulls. I agree with everything you said. I think the girls were already a bit of a train wreck (my auto correct tried to make train freak lol) when they started the show, but I think the show and fame and money has made them considerably worse. It's like they got stunted permanently at the age they were when they started the show. Well, most of them anyway. I think Chelsea, Maci, and Leah have shown some growth but the rest, nah.

Very true. I don't feel sorry for her at all. She's doing this to herself. I only feel sorry for her kids, which of course, we all do.

That makes sense. Didn't think about that but it still seems highly unprofessional. As far as why Jenelle always ends up with these people is water seeks its own level. I know that's been said before but it's really true. And in regards to MTV amplifying Jenelle and Barb's relationship, well, this is MTV. They have no morals or ethics. If it will draw a crowd, they will air it. It's like they are running one of those old style freak shows. Now, brace yourselves, because I am about to say something that I don't think I will ever be able to say again, but Jenelle was right in one thing she said, in that MTV treats them like a sideshow or whatever instead of real human beings. When she posted that, I was like and it took you this long to realize that? Oh, honey.

I don't understand this either. MTV is really piss poor at what they do. They switch what night the show will be on a whim. They'll show two new episodes in a row instead of spacing them out. They have shows listed in the guide so your dvr records them but then they aren't even the right show. I swear MTV, "You're high, high, all of you are high!" I had to channel my inner Barb there for a minute, but really, it's like a frat house is running that channel or one of the teen moms.

I think they'll be that way at first but the first sign of trouble or problems would have them acting like the same old witches of Kissimmee they have always been. Also, I agree with everyone that thinks this is fake. I really really think this is just for the cameras, and even, Kail is in on it. Catelynn's snapchats from that reunion thing showed Kail and Brittany sitting by each other and talking. They seemed to be having a good time. Now, if this is somehow real, then Javi is even dumber than I originally thought. These people are idiots. I wouldn't really judge much if this was just their lives, they are making a mockery of on TV for money, but they're involving their children in this shit, and I'm pretty sure those kids are too young to understand that all this crap is fake.

I just don't understand why they would snapchat something like that?? SMDH I mean, at least, pretend on social media that you are a responsible person for the sake of your daughter. Oh, it just dawned on me why they have no qualms putting all their drinking and drugging out there for the world to see. They've never had to have a real job. They seem to be permanently stuck at age 16 because of this show. They're in for a harsh reality if this show ever goes bust.

Yeah, I think they had take out or something (maybe it was a cake), and Aubree wanted Chelsea to try a bite but she wouldn't and looked at Cole and said, "I can't have carbs!" She does need to be careful with those diets that exclude whole food groups. She was nursing at that time, and if she was working out as well, she really needed some carbs. She does look a little thin in those pics but, hopefully, it was just for the wedding reception, and she will loosen up a little now. It can just be slippery slope for some, when they go on an extreme diet and lose a ton of weight. It can become a problem. I hope that's not the case for Chelsea.

I struggle with this as well. Especially the Nova part. I really believe Brianna and co are the the most fake of the whole bunch. I agree that they concocted this whole pregnancy/adoption storyline to get on TV again. It makes me so angry that they don't seem to care how all of this will affect Nova and the new baby. I mean how is Nova going to grow up and be a healthy, mentally stable adult when her mother, not only, put her life on TV for entertainment but also concocted a whole lie about contemplating adoption for her little sister that she wasn't in on. How is Nova ever going to know what is real and what's not? At the end of the day, I have to really question whether any of these moms really care about their children's wellbeing. Money is not everything. These children would be better off living in a household that is struggling to pay the bills than in front of a camera having their whole lives dissected. I have a feeling even Chelsea or, maybe only Chelsea, will regret doing this show when they see the effects it has on their children in the future. I hope some of them come out unscathed but I very much doubt it.

In regards to the whole pediatrician vs psychiatrist thing, I just wanted to share my experience. Psychiatrists are not the only MDs with the extensive knowledge to prescribe meds for mental health. My child goes to a pediatrician whose specialty is in treating depression, anxiety, and ADHD in children and adolescents. She is a specialist, and my child was referred to her. She and her staff are amazing. My child actually went to a psychiatrist first because we had to wait to get into see her. Also, wanted to comment on Jenelle being worried about Jace abusing his meds. Studies have shown that the most likely person to abuse drugs is someone with untreated ADHD. So Jace getting treated early on and with the correct meds will most likely keep him from abusing drugs in the future. So basically, Jenelle needs to STFU. She just wanted to sound smart and put down Barb at the same time.

I was always taught that how you figure out the correct word to use is you remove the other subject and see if it still sounds right. For example, David and I are raving lunatics. If you remove David in the sentence, then you have I am a raving lunatic. Whereas if you said me and David but took out David in that instance the sentence wouldn't work. Me is a raving lunatic. Same with using another part of the sentence structure. The kids are afraid of David and me. If you take David out, the sentence still works. The kid are afraid of me. But if you used I, it wouldn't work. The kids are afraid of I. (I tried to keep this on topic by using the subjects David and Jenelle. ?) Edited to add: I'm from the south so my grammar is often a problem but this is one thing that has actually helped me.

Regarding the phone call btw Barb and Jenelle, I knew something was wrong with that scene! Yes, Barb has been known to get frustrated easily and yell but I've never seen her come straight at Jenelle yelling. That makes sense that we the audience came in at the middle of that convo. Wow, the producers have really been bending over backwards to make Jenelle look good in regards to Barb. I'm surprised they edited the scene with UBT, Jenelle, and kids to highlight the disfunction going on. What happened to make them suddenly turn on Jenelle and show the truth? I guess they couldn't keep passing up the ratings gold mine that is her real life. BTW, sorry for flooding this topic with so many posts. This episode just got me really heated. Had to come out from lurking and get my thoughts out.

IDK Originally, I was all about removing both UBT and Jenelle from the show but now I'm not sure that would be the best thing. What I wish would happen is that MTV would give Jenelle an ultimatum. The terms would be leave UBT permanently, go into intense therapy, not date until cleared by her therapist, take parenting classes, and stay completely sober (including marijuana) during this time. Also, the therapy should NOT occur on camera. If she violates any of these stipulations, she is fired immediately. Also, I think that Barb needs to be involved in this therapy for Jace's sake and just overall effectiveness. Yes, Jenelle greatly disturbs me but I don't think she is a sociopath. I think she suffers from borderline personality disorder as well as other issues. I, also, think she has not properly bonded with her children for whatever reason. But I do think all of these issues could be helped with intense, long term therapy and the right medications. I just don't think it would be fair for MTV to just walk away from this train wreck that they, not only exploited, but might have even made worse by filming it. I mean they filmed someone's most vulnerable and problematic moments with no intervention and then threw money at them, thus, rewarding them for the behavior. And they started all of this when said person was only a teenager. And even if you don't think MTV owes Jenelle anything, I think we can all agree they owe those innocent kids. And whether we like Jenelle or not, the best case scenario for her kids is that she is helped if possible. Of course, all of this is really a moot point because if given an ultimatum, I can almost guarantee you Jenelle would choose UBT. Also, MTV would never do this because they don't want Jenelle to get better. A sober, mentally stable Jenelle wouldn't make for good TV. MTV is only interested in ratings and money, innocent kids be damned. But I do feel that if there is anything that might get to Jenelle, it's being faced with losing the show and all the money that goes along with it TLDR: MTV needs to give Jenelle an ultimatum. Leave UBT and get long term mental help or be fired. Firing them both doesn't help the kids involved, and MTV has a moral obligation to them whether they like it or not.

Oh she knows it wasn't a good thing to do but she did it anyway because it's her job to instigate things and cause drama where there is none or, in this case, add fuel to the fire. She'd probably get a raise if she could get David to go off on Jenelle or the kids on camera. In MTV's eyes, they could care less if Jenelle or the kids get physically injured or killed as long as they get it on film. MTV and these producers make me sick.

Guys, I live in the Lubbock area and was planning on going to this tattoo expo already. Now I'm definitely gonna have to go to check out Maci in person. lol I'll keep ya updated if I do end up going.

Hi, first time poster but long time lurker. I just wanted to chime in and see if anyone thought creating a petition on change.org and addressing it to MTV to remove Janelle and David from the show permanently would get MTV's attention? If we got enough signatures, surely MTV would have to take notice.
