  1. I’m guessing these kinds of moves (using Star Trek Discovery and the new Picard series as other examples) are also based on network executives believing that the fans will follow these shows anywhere while fattening their wallets. Sorry I’m not biting. I can’t justify the added expense and I’m not poor. Like @kariyaki above mentioned, I’ll wait for my local library to pick it up when it’s on DVD.
  2. My sentiments as well. I’m very disappointed that they did this. I faithfully watched every episode and enjoyed them. I pay enough for cable and I’m not about to sign up for Hulu for this. I guess it’s back to old Star Trek reruns as well as my Star Trek and Stargate DVDs.
  3. I watched it via the Discovery Go app. IIRC it’s a 6th season episode. She apparently has issues regarding her relationship with her mother.
  4. We find out on next Sunday’s episode. Looks serious.
  5. So would I. With his go it alone/I’m with Laura and only loyal to her motto he might have run into something the others didn’t encounter. Then it could have just been chance and he lost. About Nicole, if she’s doing anything I guess it’s not interesting enough for the cameras. It’s nice we don’t have any jerks in this group who call out someone for not “doing their part” and bully them out.
  6. Duck’s leaving made no sense to me either. Once Charlie made it to the hospital Duck was going to go home anyway so I don’t see the point. I think there are others that should come back for redemption before we see Duck again. So eating all that eel didn’t save Jeff from getting sick - ha! He’s eaten the most out of all of them, karma caught up with him, lol. I’m wondering if there was some intervention regarding those hooks he set that didn’t get anything. It appears that he didn’t set all 20 lines but then he may not have had that much bait. I liked the group’s solution to food dispersal when so little is caught at one time. Interesting that Nicole won a piece and we haven’t seen her do too much.
  7. The article is a few weeks old but The Weather Channel is now available via Verizon FIOS after being gone a few years: https://deadline.com/2019/06/the-weather-channel-returns-to-verizon-fios-after-four-year-absence-1202634901/ I missed it when I switched from Comcast to Verizon last year - Accuweather is no match IMO.
  8. I was disappointed in the ending of the episode. I wish Ernie did get to go as he was the son most interested in going. So I agree with you as far as rating episodes, this one is a dud.
  9. Yes, I am happy to learn this news.
  10. Just tried it, thanks. I don’t have Amazon Prime so I would never consider the IMDB streaming stuff being a part of the Amazon app instead of the IMDB app. I wish they would make this kind of stuff clearer since Amazon owns IMDB.
  11. It is on IMDB TV - sign up for a free account to watch. It is available via PCs only, the IMDB app does not seem to support it. I caught up with a few episodes that I missed when they originally aired. Fun stuff 😊
  12. I remember reading about that a while back myself. I’m guessing at this point it’s not going to happen. Anyway if it did the show seems like a natural pairing with a show like My Three Sons if MeTV picked it up or if Antenna TV/FE TV picked it up a pairing with one of the 50-60’s era shows they broadcast.
  13. That would be fun to watch. In the last episode when Jeff was telling us he wasn’t letting up regarding the pace when everyone else was going to slow for him, what was stopping him besides production? He could have gone on ahead to stake out his spot and all the food, lol. “Wildness Guide” is an occupation? It sounds like one of those weekend or gap filler occupations when you’re in between jobs or preparing for an anticipated apocalypse.
  14. According to IMDB, March 2014. Depending on when it was filmed he might have appeared for the first time before he was sentenced.
  15. There are a few other old B&W shows on FETV, Antenna TV, etc but I know what you mean. I’ve heard of the show you mentioned before but have never seen it (before my time) and probably never will - a number of years back one of the PBS stations in my area showed some 50s era TV shows in a block. I wish they (or someone else) would do that again. Like a turn back the clock for the night. I know Decades does something like this but we all don’t get that anymore 😡. So another show comes to mind - The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet - I saw reruns back in the late 70s but nothing since. There are episodes posted on the Internet but it would be nice to see it on TV again.
  16. @AZChristian I think the General takes anyone. You know the insurance company with the commercials with a cartoon General and a penguin riding around in a car. I’m sure a nice high premium and deductible goes with this coverage.
  17. Yeah, it’s because of stuff like this that insurance premiums can get high for all of us. I’m glad he got caught. Insurance companies are not a bottomless pit of money to steal from despite what some people think. I don’t recall if the article stated it but I wonder if they dropped his coverage. Would serve him right.
  18. St. Elsewhere. I know it was shown in syndication in a couple of places since it went off the air in 1988 but I haven’t seen it anywhere in ages. Would love to see it again.
  19. Me too. The Decades site still has “coming soon” or something to that effect for my market.
  20. If you’re talking about Nicole (who has been wearing glasses the past couple of episodes) she’s been bringing in some firewood but yeah, we haven’t seen her do much. I think I remember one talking head segment a few episodes back and that’s it. She’s in the background for sure. About Jeff, what’s the saying? Feed a cold, starve a fever? Hope I got that right. Lol.
  21. I do too. He has such an easygoing manner that makes him an asset to the challenge.
  22. So it looks like their new area doesn’t have a big river to cast many hooks to catch eels, oh no! It was nice of Laura to share her part of the eel, I think asking for bananas in exchange was kind of silly, given they have plenty of their own still. Jeff wants to trek through the jungle firing on all thrusters which is pretty easy to do when he’s been eating pretty well all along vs everyone else who have been barely surviving. At least we were spared the yelling and chest thumping this week. Regarding Russell and now Charlie, I don’t get how they would rather stay to finish when their health is in danger. Watching Charlie in the cave shivering must have been scary to see in person.
