‘Altered Carbon’: Will Yun Lee To Return For Season 2 Of Netflix Sci-Fi Drama
-
I was still holding out hope that there would be a little female empowerment left in the show, but all a see are women losing their power, lying, spying, sleeping/seducing to get what they want. Then stabbing a man if the back to gain power. Why is everybody in love with Harry? The women can even read a book without help from Harry. If I ever thought that men were trying to subvert the message of "girl power", this would be the show I would point to.

S01.E05: Chapter Five - The Gunslinger
AnimeMania replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Mandalorian
From what I could tell, this sect of the Mandalorians are in hiding, never allowing more than one to be seen at a time. Nobody seems to know that there was a group of them on the planet. Once multiple Mandalorians came out to defend Mando, their cover was blown and they had to move their base to a new planet. The Mandalorians also seem to have a soft spot for orphaned children, since they were probably all orphans and that is mainly how they replinish their ranks. Mando selling the orphan child for a bounty to former members of the Galactic Empire probably didn't sit well with the Mandalorians with is probably why Mando did a double-cross and none of the Mandalorians seemed to be upset. I wonder why when Mando shot Karga (leader of a bounty hunter guild), he didn't take his Beskar Steel, it seems to be very rare. -
S01.E05: Chapter Five - The Gunslinger

It seems his parents were killed by a droid right after they hid him. You see a droid open up his hiding place and is about to kill him when the scene ends. Obviously he survives but we are never told how, but I suspect it has something to do with the Mandalorians, which eventually adopt him. -
Why did I watch late: People noticed much of the stuff I wanted to say, so I will just pretend I didn't see their posts and post it anyway. Leland saying "He's one of the 59 people I trust in the world." Comedy Gold: the Incel shooting himself and Leland raging out. Months of work down the drain. She's not a litigator, she's a fixer. She's kept our abuse victim lawsuits reasonable. (The Catholic Church must keep her very busy.) Since one of the girls were missing during the episode, they gave the rest instruments so that the noise level would remain the same. What guy wouldn't be a sex addict if he was a 10 and could have any girl he wanted.

"It's called a Marid. It's a freaky-looking little thing isn't it? As long as you feed it, it gives you money, it gives you health, it gives you everything you ever dreamed of." https://supernatural.fandom.com/wiki/Marid G.O.B.? = Good Ol' Boys

(6a) Whatever Dex was going to tell Grey before Liz walked over. It seemed like it was really important. Maybe that Dex and Benny had a little more contact after he was married than Dex let on.

Try looking at the top right corner of the screen when you see the information overlay (show title, show time, playback controls, etc.) for a white box. Clicking this white box will give you access to multiple combinations of foreign languages and subtitles (it is actually quite impressive).

S01.E05: Chapter Five - The Gunslinger

A very understated performance by Amy Sedaris, by Amy Sedaris standards. Did that jerk just do a belly flop on top of Lil' Oda? Lil' Oda pancakes anyone? -
Lisbeth proved she was a police officer by giving them the financial records that the police had on the Hudsons, that they compared to what Tiffany collected. If the Police are like the Post Office, they get a credit card (Clothing Allowance) that can only be used at certain stores and then only for specific items within that store. Only authorized jackets, shoes, shirts, socks, pants, and belts may be purchased. As long as they are authorized, the shoes can be in lots different styles.

I thought Mrs. Burble and her Butter-Flingers thought Cheryl's brother was in a Crypt inside the Chapel in the basement of her Manor. Mrs. Burble equated it to going to someone's gravesite to talk, not like having a face to face chat. The only thing I kept seeing was how huge her office was. Alice should put all her psycho energy into getting the twins back, they could use some over-protection, they will thank Alice for it later.

I think that scenario is more plausible than having a character with 2 years of medical training be a better doctor than all the other doctors in Gotham. Mary has her own hospital (that she runs by herself) and it is filled with (millions?) of dollars of drugs and equipment. Why is Mary always treating criminals when she could be treating the homeless or low-income. Mary showed not one ounce of medical training while her mother was dying, not even during the 9-1-1 call where she let mouse take her phone afterward. I guess that is why they don't let doctors treat their own families. Mary was the exact opposite of the way she acted during the elevator crash.

That was stupid of SoYun to attack the North Korean General before retrieving her son. She probably couldn't get to her husband, but could have saved her son.

TDS 3.0 Season Five Talk
AnimeMania replied to scarynikki12's topic in The Daily Show With Trevor Noah (2015-2022)
I doubt the meatless burger price will go down. Salads have been around for millions of years and they still cost more than a burger and fries do at a fast food restaurant, even thought the ingredients are one-fifth the price. The fast food restaurants know people will pay the higher prices because they want to eat healthier. -
I am surprised that SoYun thought she could beat 10 guys after being shot, when she couldn't beat one woman when she was healthy.

I believe the crossover will have zero effect on the Batwoman series, although I think Batwoman will be in the crossover.

Rama Khan more like DRama Khan.

The pig jurors, I thought there would be twelve, but there seemed to be way more than that. At least they gave their verdict with very little deliberation. Pigs, at least they didn't use kangaroos, if you get my meaning.

That's why I don't understand why The Police don't have a find my phone app for Malcolm. The Police should have used it after Malcolm's first phone call outside of "Blind Granny's House", but I guess there wouldn't be any story. I can understand why Meagan Good hates Malcolm, they both have the same job, so they must get compared to each other a lot. Not to even consider being Black and female in the Toxic Masculinity FBI environment. It is bad enough that every Profiler is saying that the male suspect's problems always stem from "mother issues". Meagan does the job she was assigned, while Malcolm goes the extra mile doing high-risk, crazy (not part of his job description) stunts that eventually pays off big time. I wonder if everybody at the FBI was asking for Malcolm to be their "Profiler" and not Meagan.

Spectrum Cable never put Episode 4 On-Demand, even though Episode 5 is up there. I just wanted to vent because I won't be able to post to the forums until this is rectified. <sad emoji>

I was surprised Mando didn't put the sled in his spaceship and fly everybody back to the village. When leaving, the sled was driven by a robot. I was surprised Mando didn't have a problem with that. Village bullies food shamed Lil' Oda into Bulimia when he regurgitated the delicious froggy.

I think Mary should have given the antidote to her mother, her mother was so weak, she couldn't have stopped her. The story would have been so much stronger with Mary dead. Catherine could have used her vast fortune and weapon knowledge to build new weapons for Batwoman. Papa Kane could have offered his vast army to support Batwoman in cleaning up the city. This could have really revitalized the effort to clean up Gotham City for everybody, not just the rich.
