Blood Origin takes place 1,200 years before the events of The Witcher. The six-episode series will chronicle the creation of the first prototype Witcher, as well as the events surrounding the Conjunction of the Spheres, the phenomenon that brought humans into the world of the elves. "We were trying to understand what the world was like for elves right before the Conjunction of the Spheres," says Blood Origin creator, Declan De Barra. "I just was fascinated with the idea of what a pre-colonized world would look like for the elves". That fascinated me to wonder what that world could have been: what society would have been like and what elves wanted. That's what we're going to explore here. Sophia Brown stars as Éile, a warrior of the Queen's guard who leaves to become a traveling musician. Michelle Yeoh will feature as Scían, the last of a nomadic tribe of sword-elves on a mission to retrieve a blade stolen from her people. Laurence O'Fuarain will also appear as the character Fjall, a man born into a clan of warriors sworn to protect a king but who sets out in need of vengeance after a loved one dies in battle trying to save him.

The show is kind of boring, they spend way too long doing way too little. Sarah Blackwood was the only person I was rooting for. So why is she shooting humans? Just call the cops and tell them where Cam's father is and you don't have any other obligations. I think they are trying to make me stop caring about her. I thought it was funny when Shawn slapped Dr. Jai Fisher for spouting all the Zombie crap instead of wanting to get married. The Definition of White Privilege is when a white kid can walk into a Police Station covered from head to toe in blood and nobody asks him any questions or even looks twice at him. He even has the audacity to wash all the evidence away in the Police restroom. This show would be much better if it was funnier.

The Wheel of Time soundtrack "The Wheel of Time: The First Turn" is a 14-track album from Milan Records set to be released on November 12th. This album is the first of four more soundtrack albums released for Season 1. A sample of "Al’Naito (The Flame)" was released last month and two new track samples entitled "Mashiara (Lost Love)" and "Caisen’shar (Old Blood)" are also available. The vocal tracks are performed in Old Tongue, a language created for the Wheel of Time universe. Instead of going for big orchestras, as per traditional for epic films and TV series, the songs – as well as the full soundtrack – used a more modern musical approach. Composer Lorne Balfe says of the musical score: “The universe of The Wheel of Time is truly unique. Inspired by oral traditions in storytelling, each theme's voices tell the story of the character, place, or idea in Old Tongue, a language unique to the universe of The Wheel of Time. The score to this series is a re-imagination of fantasy music, doing away with the genre's reliance on large, traditional orchestras in favor of more modern colors while retaining the strong melodies and bold harmonies that fans can expect from such an epic. It was my honor collaborating with showrunner Rafe Judkins along with our 14th Street Music team and musicians to share The First Turn album with you.”
