  1. I only got 1 right this week--but it was Friday's *. I feel pretty good about that. I'll bring homemade Scotties for the T41.
  2. Wow. Just wow. I'm so impressed by Andrew and his all in on all three DDs. The last one being in a third row made it a somewhat safer bet, but it was still gutsy and gets my respect. I got FJ, because I couldn't think of anything else, but was vert surprised to be right. And an *! I'm feeling like I should look into a lottery ticket!
  3. Looking at the title of this topic, I suddenly realized I haven't seen Jaboukie in a long time. Has he left the show? Am I just hopelessly out of date?
  4. This game definitely brought up an issue I've considered before in these games. That's how obviously close friends May I'm is with certain contestants, which she also makes a big deal of pointing out. One could argue that it's for charity so it doesn't matter if one player is besties with the host and clearly the others she either barely knew or was politely respectful of. But the eventual winner's charity gets $1 million. I really don't like the feeling that she just invited some friends over and the only reason they got on the show is their friendship with the host. Just looks so bad, imo. I also thought the clues were good for my ego, but I actually liked one of those endless commercial clues best. Jeopardy! has confirmed that The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is the first book in the Narnia series!!
  5. I just watched the whole season, but I think I saw something here maybe no one else did. I think he now knows his son is alive. I don't think we will see that son again, but when Rhaenys first goes to talk to Rhaenyra and Daemon, there's an abrupt cut when the subject of her "dead" son is raised. I think they told her the truth then. Later, there's a similar cut when she's talking to Corlys and he brings up their dead son. I think she told him the truth at that time. Just the way the two conversations were edited. So when he's suddenly team black, I thought immediately it was because his issue with them was gone, though of course none of them would ever discuss it with anyone else.
  6. If it says something about you, I like the message! I absolutely love Hadestown and have seen it three times, both pre- and post-lockdown. I've made other people see it and given the OBC recording as gifts.
  7. @Grundoon59Which shows did you see? I keep reading about how many fewer shows there are now versus how many theatres, but there are a lot of things I'd love to see.

A Day in May, when Martin goes to the parole hearing of the man who shot him. His conversation with the shooter's mom, his expression when they asked if he wanted to speak, the shooter making his statement and the fact Martin felt he couldn't tell his sons about it.
  9. I knew the parliaments, but I couldn't call them up while concentrating on the vowels. If they just asked for the parliament of Israel or Germany, I think I would have gotten them (I do normally know them!) but somehow even though I knew which countries they meant, I couldn't get them out. It was very frustrating and crazy making, but the vowels just tied my brain up. I'm going to presume the same thing happened to the players. Congrats to all three though. They all earned those spots in their original games, and they were all mature and gracious about a game that didn't go anyone's way.
  10. Honestly, very homely president should send one to Lincoln, though I agree with Whitman that his face becomes beautiful. Even if somehow 1863 doesn't give it away, it should lock it in.
  11. Whereas I loved it. It was an hour of people hanging out, relaxing and having fun. I need that these days. I'm enjoying the new season just as much as any other.
  12. Parents of only children, to offer a counter theory, also only have one kid to ignore if they decide they aren't that into having a kid around. I think there is too vast a scope of parental types to make such broad generalizations.
  13. I've noticed its a mixed bag of sometimes clips and sometimes trailers. He also sometimes says "courtesy of such and such" production or distribution company.

Martin and Ronnie. They were together for a while before getting married in the finale.
  15. Or exposing kids to the idea that sex is a normal part of adult life.
  16. I thought exactly the same thing! Whoever gets the nod next (Rishi Sunak I guess was just announced) better hope he's not an upcoming clue!
  17. My elementary school was three floors. Different grades on different floors, and though there were three staircases, there was no elevator. I'm guessing many schools were built long enough ago that they are grandfathered in under the ADA. I honestly can't remember for sure if the kindergarten had separate bathrooms, but I do remember Rochelle DeMontany stepping on my finger the first day. That probably says more about me than the bathrooms.
  18. I only know Kylie Minogue from Graham. I only know One Direction and BTS from Graham. That's just a sample, but I wasn't saying everyone on the show is shockingly famous, just that it is my only contact with some people who really are just that famous, internationally.
  19. 4/5 with 1*. Although I got the geography FJ, it was as much by accident as anything. Totally random guesses based on a vague idea those countries are roughly in the right spot. And I too confidently said peas instead of apples. So I'll bring my seafood pasta. Tortellini and rotini, in Alfredo sauce with crab, shrimp, peas, mandarin oranges, pineapple and on most nights, cranberries. And before someone starts with pineapple complaints, citrus in pasta is amazing and you shouldn't turn up your nose before you try it! 🙂
  20. But I don't think he would have any problems with giving out accidental spoilers.
  21. It dud seem like her family was there and involved. It could be a situation where her family has pretty generic or no traditions, and it certainly looked like more fun than most euro based weddings.
  22. 2/5, though at least I was really sure I was wrong on the other 3. Knowing what you don't know is the first step, right?
