  1. I'm about through with the show this season. Chexton - there is zero chemistry between them (even though Choi is ripped) and their storyline is just dragging and uninteresting, imo. She's starting that passive-aggressive behavior again, "you only touch me when you're giving me an injection". Oh puh-leeze, give it a rest. Clearly, she's still thinking of Marcel. I truly hope Marcel's moved on. After all, it was just a kiss--not as if they slept together. Natalie - Why do they let her character make wrong decisions without having or thinking through all the facts. Marcel was absolutely correct--now you have an abuse victim going to jail. I felt Dr. Charlies and Elsa somewhat destroyed the family. Guess after making Elsa seem incompetent, emotional, etc., in other storylines, they're trying to redeem her? Sorry, I'm, not a fan. I'd rather have Dr. Reece back. Halstead - WHY a relationship with this heroin addict? Does he feel he has to be a savior? You could see this coming a mile away.😒 Agree with another poster--Chexton, Manstead, Lanik - yep, all can go. They've destroyed Choi's character from what it was; same with Manning and Halstead. Lanik I didn't care for when they replaced the other ER Chief (guy from the "Ocean's" movies). Showrunners should have stuck with the original cast and we need better writers this season.
  2. The Flea was a good title for this episode but I think it was Cain who was "flicked off like a flea" and not Conrad--although Cain said Conrad was a flea. So, Cain has a "sell by date" and it may be coming soon--unless Logan Kim meets with his demise at the hands of Cain😲. Cain better also watch his back; Kim is typical of a lackey--he'll go whichever the way the wind blows and do whatever is necessary at the behest of Red Rock. Is Nic pregnant or truly jut food poisoning? I really thought Conrad was going to propose after seeing the couple who sustained the jet-ski injuries from the life-threatening accident and diagnosis. Bottom line - Life is short; enjoy every minute so Conrad, PROPOSE ALREADY!! Loved Kit, Raptor and Ogafore working together--seamlessly-- to save the patient. Not sure where they'll take Raptor and Supplement Lady (SL) although, so far I like her. Mena seems to have given SL the green light and appears to be handling it well although that could just be a cover. Bell and the supplements - that's a twist and I, too wondered what's behind the "problem". Is Bell returning to some of his devious ways or is it another issue as others posted? But suddenly, Bell has cash to buy out the other two?? I thought Bell had had some legal issues or was in some type of trouble that he wasn't cash rich??
  3. May be late as I realized this was posted on the wrong medical show thread🤣 I'm so through with April (and just sick of her games). Choi with his "double entendre" that has April looking baffled/confused/ambivalent yet still making gooey eyes😳 at Marcel - just stop the madness! I mentioned a couple times in recent weeks that I wondered what Marcel's backstory was. This episode--with the kids--may be telling. Let's hope they explore more of this. I really wanted to smack Natalie (and I'm truly not a violent person) but I'm so tired of her quick to judge, opinionated self with him and everyone else. Yeah, she and Halstead just need to get back together--he's such an idiot and narcissist. I hoped Dr. Charles would have really gone off with him when he screamed at him but that was a missed opportunity by the writers. Will's head is harder than tungsten steel and now will obviously stay with the safe injection site after "saving" the woman's life. He knows what he's doing is worthwhile---not matter the cost🙄. I pray he loses his job, license to practice, and is written off--along with Natalie and April.
  4. You are so right---getting my medical shows mixed up - apologies!!! Obviously, watched all the shows back to-back and was evidently also thinking of Chicago Med while on The Resident site🤣
  5. While I acknowledge that Corbin is a seasoned veteran actor, I really didn't care much for his storyline and am actually pleased that they're ending it--at least for now. Happy Nic didn't have any more guilt to assume because of what her father was contemplating. So Conrad figured out how to return to Chastain, despite Logan Kim AND without his dad's help even though it was a strange "arrangement" Agree - The Bell and Austin team up was fun. I loved when they tried to solve the case. I'm still getting over this unprecedented change with Bell. Still wrapping my head around the acceptance that he's now one of the good guys?🤨 No Dr. Omnipotent this week😅
  6. THIS ^^ - I was actually thinking that would be how the scenario would unfold. Gwen's been there so little, it would be no great loss if she were gone, permanently, from the show.
  7. Well, this is a Dick Wolf production but he needs to stop "plagiarizing" from his other franchise shows😄. The IVF was taken directly from L & O SVU several years back. That episode became a criminal case but ended somewhat civilly--this one didn't have all that drama but simply took the high road. And seriously, who didn't know this would be the whole "switched" embryos scenario--especially after the red hair comment. Maybe I've seen too many medical shows with the same storyline. Will and his "brainstorm" of safe injection was taken directly from New Amsterdam's 2nd season. These medical shows are definitely piggy-backing on each other. Let Will lose his license (again?), privileges, etc. He's pathetic knowing he has all this to lose if caught. April - She's absurd and laughable; can she just be gone? Her realization that IVF could be an option just occurred to her after seeing the two families? I imagine the fact that she "discussed" it with Choi was at least a step in the right direction. IMO, Choi still needs to run away as fast as possible. Choi/Abrams/Marcel - I wasn't surprised that it was't Abrams but was quite astonished that he was married and that his wife, of 3 months, knew what he would want--not the daughter. Have they ever explored his backstory before now?? And at least disapproving Choi admitted his culpability and was contrite that he was wrong with Marcel showing an honorable side. I like Marcel but just so unsure how Marcel's "character" will unfold. One minute he seems decent, then at other times, they write him as devious, shifty and sly. Who knows how these writers will play out their dynamic after Choi's declaration/acknowledgment? Gwen - I've never really understood why she is even in this show? Sharon has been a main character from the inception with Gwen as recurring. She's not interesting (character-wise) and clearly vindictive and self-serving. I didn't even know she was married with a child (knew the actor was preggers IRL). She can be gone from the show, too. Natalie - Ms. Judgmental once again but now they've made Sharon somewhat of he "offender" to save her in that scenario between Gwen/husband.
  8. Agree 100% and with another poster who was happy Cain was dissed twice; guess his "charm" doesn't work on everyone. I think she's just too astute to fall for him and wants someone real (AJ). Agree, also that I hope they don't make this a love triangle or "fallback" position for AJ since Mena shut him down albeit nicely. Yeah - thought this was all resolved with him (daughter's death, his own selfishness, etc.). IMO, he doesn't really add any value to the show and could be gone (not killed, just written off). Nic doesn't need anymore guilt. THIS ^^ Predictable - I could see she and Devon were going to be an item when they introduced her to the storyline this season. Jenna Dewan's character is gone; Devon and fiancee broke up so guess the writers thought it was time for him to have another love interest.
  9. Yeah, I'm through. If I'm that interested, I'll just read these comments--which is about as close as I want to get to actual watching anymore. What a trainwreck this has become (and the writers had months to come up with better storylines before the return of the season!)
  10. I agree. Just read where this was renewed but I'm sorry, I wasn't "feeling" the 1st half of this season and yeah, can't wait for this prison escape scenario to play out. Another show I had high hopes and promise for but it's disappointing me this season.
  11. 👏 - couldn't find a "thumbs up" emoji but applauding this as well!
  12. Episode was yet another disappointment (for me) which I intended to post sooner. Haven't read comments yet but I'm certain most has been said. Chexel (Choi/Sexton/Marcel) - Ms. Know it All is at it again. Glad Marcel put her in her place although I still just don't see the allure these men have for her. Can they possibly make her character any more unlikable? Silly Choi should have stayed gone but to return and propose - who didn't see that coming? Now, I'll have to suffer with the WSWS (will she/won't she) finally divulge to Ethan that she kissed Marcel? It's just not that interesting and they don't belong together. Maggie/Ben? - A story that should have never been told. This is really the best they could do for Maggie? Natalie - Another Ms. Know-it-All who basically went back on her word to Will. Pompous Will (not unlike Natalie) - always knowing what's best for the patient and failing badly. The writers need to turn this show around quickly as they are definitely losing this fan. I feel like I'm barely hanging on with life support. It was going off the rails anyway and sorry, but with Connor gone--and even CeCe now--it has no interesting story to tell. April, Natalie and Will just cannot carry this show.
  13. Thanks and appreciate the clarification. She and Ben had to fight there way back to "normalcy" after the whole "Danny filled in while you were gone" scenario (my words--I know, she thought Ben was dead). It took some time to regain that trust; this just seems like it may be going down a similar path with the baby.
  14. Sadly, I fell asleep on this episode. After Grace said she wouldn't tell Danny (?) until the baby was six months old (if it is indeed his), I just shook my head. The triangle of Nick, Jared and Zeke - not again - just like all other shows, this has bee done to death (no puns intended). How did the woman oncologist (can't think of her name who was on the plane with them) find the devious woman playing the psychiatrist/psychologist?? I wasn't sure after watching S1; maybe these supernatural type shows are just not my thing. This show will be a hit and miss for me. Yeah, I noticed that as well - she switched sides where the bullet wound was! I think I went to sleep shortly thereafter 😄
  15. IDK - for me, this episode was somewhat all over the place and a bit disappointing after returning from the hiatus. Mena - Where's Adaku--still recovering in he hospital? Not even a mention of her but Mena taking care of the baby who looks a couple months old now. Bizarre. I prefer Mena in the OR not taking care of this child. Devon seemed to take over the Conrad role as doctor with his new residents. I guess they were trying to portray him as tough when warranted and accommodating when he had to be - interesting. Raptor and Cain - Raptor won't back down and will always give his patients quality care and do what's right. He'll defy Cain to his last breath. But Raptor is on to something with Cain and how he became as ruthless as he has - will they delve into Cain's backstory or just let it drop? I don't know how long the writers can continue with this pernicious and immoral storyline with Cain. Speaking of imploding, the writers better have an end game for Cain/his obsequious minion/Red Rock as this can't continue for another season. He's fired Conrad, demoted Bell and now tried to get in Raptors face. Agree with other posters - there's only so much of this one-dimensional Red Rock saga I can stomach. They need to end it this season. Zero Gravity Fin & Conrad's friend (Moira Kelly is the actress) - these storylines came from no where (at least Fin's did for me) and I thought they were through with the woman cancer patient/other risky medical challenges (lung) with the her. What gets me is that there's no continuity with some of these storylines. At lease in S1 with the chemo patient that Lane basically murdered, and S2 with the little boy (shown in flashbacks this week), they didn't skip for weeks then return to it. Conrad/Fin - bromance storyline but I'd rather have seen Conrad/his dad determine how they would one-up Red Rock/Cain, etc. Instead we have Conrad looking puzzled as to what to do (until Fin tells him) and Marshall looking surprised that Red Rock had the temerity to throw his past in his face when Red Rock is the epitome of devious, dishonest and unprincipled actions. Marshall is no choir boy and knew he'd probably done some unscrupulous things in his past. However, I was just surprised that he also doesn't have some dirt on Red Rock. But hopefully, he and Conrad have a viable plan to not only reinstate Conrad but also destroy this anathema of Red Rock and Cain. Guess I need to be patient😉
  16. Sadly, a typical problems as shows start to "mature". The writers/writing room/showrunner think they're adding drama, angst, value when they continue to veer away from the premise of the show (and the regular cast) to bring in all these ancillary characters and trope storylines. There's enough misdeeds, mismanagement, greed, unethical behavior, interesting/unusual medical stories, etc., to tell without resorting to outlandish or non-nonsensical plotlines. What's happened to intelligent writing (that's rhetorical).
  17. Perhaps he (Bell) meant they could never terminate him--demote, yes but terminate, absolutely not. Who knows; we're all probably thinking too hard on this glaring statement😉
  18. Well then - the writers have succeeded! They've made him so unlikable, evil and with no remorse with how he treats patients,, they've written his character so everyone hates him. I'm a MC fan but also as a hetero black woman, I grow tired of the angry black man, unscrupulous black man, druggie black man, etc., on most TV shows. It will be interesting to see where they take this talented, egotistical but brilliant character AND the dynamics between Raptor and him--also a MJW fan--which I hope won't be stereotypical, predictable and cliched..
  19. As soon as Conrad was fired, I immediately thought, "yeah, bring in the big guns/reinforcement" (Dad). I wish they had made his character a regular instead of recurring. Marshall certainly would have kept Bell in check and even Cain. I'm not sure what to make of Bell; guess I just need to move on from the character I knew from S1-4; he's done a complete 180 with the occasional lapse in moral compass. And then he does something extremely self-sacrificing and nice for Kit. Who is this guy?? Mena and her friend (can't even think of her name, Oku?) - I truly hope this storyline is over. I don't need angst hanging on for the remainder of the season. It's just not that interesting. Don't let the mom die and Mena has to raise the baby - that would make zero sense. Cain - he's like Lane Hunter was but, of course, a million times worse (along with his minion).. Uncertain how the writers will continue with his character as he IS the Big Bad Evil Man. They'll either have to retain that facade or they'll kill him off--just like all the other baddies! Yeah, can't wait for the return on Jan. 7😂
  20. You're welcome! Dec 17 is winter finale!
  21. I thought this was the winter finale; glad they'll return in December to tie up loose ends. Bell - still the same - unscrupulous and always ready to throw someone under the bus to save his own hide. So, step down as CEO but still chief of Surgery?! I thought they were firing him if Conrad stayed? Guess there's still time for dirt to be done! Devon had a conscience and didn't throw Conrad under the bus (knew it) and happy they're back on "normal" terms--understanding but respecting their differences. That was manufactured angst and drama I didn't need anyway. Thought for a second, the princess would be Devin's new love interest. Cain wasn't quite as obnoxious as usual in the OR when Bell and Raptor took over - that was a bit of a surprise. I'm sick of Nic's dad; why is he in the show? Mena and her cousin - why the hell would she get pregnant knowing her or her child's life is in peril? Finish that storyline.
  22. Yes they did but I'm hopeful this will have a quick ending in the return next year 🙏. Chexel (Choi/Sexton/Marcel) should have never been.
  23. Since her show has been cancelled, don't be surprised if you see her! Ohio, too
  24. I enjoyed the show, especially the return of Jimmy Smits to a dramatic television series--although this may not have been the best vehicle for him since the series has been cancelled from what others have said and/or read - too bad; it had promise. I was curious as to how they could handle the wrestler since it was based on true events. It was ridiculous, IRL, for them to have cut the young man's lock by threatening him he couldn't wrestle. Seemed like a common-sense approach & resolution in the episode IVF - Yes, being a lapsed Catholic, 😄they are very strident in their views on conception, birth control, etc. But I do agree with a poster who stated she just shouldn't have told them how she got pregnant. I guess being the good/devout Catholic woman she was, the guilt and "sin" would have been too much to bear if she hadn't been truthful.
  25. Agree with another poster - Disappointing fall finale from the inmates/obvious "prison break-hostage" situation about to occur; Sharpe being disbanded from her duties, Reynolds and gf breaking up (which clears the path, sadly, for a "Bloom/Reynolds reunion"--UGH); Bloom - no, I don't believe she took the pill; it looked like the Zach palmed it; and the obnoxious doctor (I like that "Dr. Rudewoman") telling Max, in such a cavalier way, he's in remission--no surprise there. NOTE: I hated the "zebra" reference which was straight from L & O SVU--at least that's where I first heard it; Iggy - I just don't care; that's supremely stupid for him to have tried to hide the potential adoption anyway. Yeah, Georgia finally gone was the bright spot of the episode. I think the writers have lost their way and with this upcoming 2-month hiatus, maybe they can get the show back on track as it's on life support right now and losing me as a fan, fast.
