Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how cash will survive going forward. I very rarely use it anymore anyway, but I can see a percentage of population not even giving it a thought, plus I'm constantly amazed at how many don't have bank accounts or cards.

The argument could certainly be made that both terms are offensive.

Though the judging on this show seems oddly esoteric to me, what I think happens, is that they are calling up three designers, one of which will be the winner and one or more to go home. It's sort of like PR (gasp!) where everyone except those 3 are "safe". They are going out of their way to NOT state it like that, because that would be too PRish.

Because I watched that soap as a young girl, I had to look him up, and I remember him still! Sad.

I think he was offended/p.o.'d about Naomi's comments to him. She is really overly nasty and blunt to these designers imo. I realize that this is her realm, and maybe I'm unaware of her vast designing/sewing experience, but being a highly-paid runway walker for X years wouldn't seem like an automatic qualifier for being a nasty design critic.

I liked the winning dress, and I liked the color-blocked look from Meghan. Agree that it needed a set-in waistband. Esther so far, while talented, seems to put out the dreaded one-trick pony look every time. Agree with the black on black on black that so many want to do. I would think they would understand how poorly they show on runway, and on screens. Still not impressed with the show overall. Way too much emphasis on the hosts and the judges, and not enough on the actual finished product. I don't look for this to be a long-running venture.

I hate the production values of this show. Too dark, cameras mounted 50 yds in the air or shot through someone's armpit... I can't see the fkn designs!! Is it too much to ask that we actually see the finished products, perhaps actually displayed either on dress forms or models? I'm not tuning in to "Making The Show Making The Cut", and that's what this feels like. Naomi is dutifully playing the stern bitch that we're supposed to expect, based on her long-held reputation. I was feeling her "it's disrespectful to the word" comment to Martha though. She was right of course. Martha simply unwound a bolt of fabric back onto a model. Ridiculous. I too want to lop that hank of hair off of Esther's head. Heidi and Tim are ironically unnecessary on their show, regardless of their EP titles.

My husband said, as it walked down the runway, "oh, a tennis dress". I would have loved a longer, more sane version of it.

I actually saw a photo of healthcare workers wearing them. It appeared to be a legitimate photo. Can't recall where it was taken.

I wasn't bowled over, and like others, found Heidi extremely annoying with the faux excited affect. And bangs. Is it me or is Tim's quivering voice and noticeable almost tremor worse? I hope he doesn't have a neuro issue. I didn't really see a benefit of Tim's presence, other than he's a very likeable human. I suppose being an EP gives him the right to do whatever the hell he wants, lol, plus mentorship might be inappropriate for this group, being they have brands already. This separation of designer/sewer is interesting but difficult for me. When Esther was laboring over the instructions for her tech pack, the control freak in me was just itching to chuck the whole idea, and sew it myself, which would take much less time and agony. It's what she ended up doing anyway isn't it? I was bugged that the show was at night, with so many black garments, I felt like I couldn't see well enough. I realize the lighted Eiffel wouldn't be as impressive at 4pm. <eyeroll> I'm going to presume that different designers will be more featured (ala Martha this episode), on different episodes. Not sure I care that much, lol. Overall, I'd give it 3.141592 stars out of 5.
