  1. So far, so good! I'm still in the first chapter. ☺ I'm a sucker for historical Christian romances, and so far this book is right up my alley!! ❤
  2. This is the story of a nurse/suffragette in 1885 Nevada who butts heads with a swaggering cowboy:
  3. Until I was an adult, all the Rolling Stones songs with double meanings flew over my head. I thought "Brown Sugar" was about...brown sugar. 😉😝😂
  4. OK, that's also a pretty sweet ride. 😎
  5. Sudbury also showed its love and support to its favorite son via billboard:
  6. I couldn't find anything regarding his childhood home, but here are some pictures celebrating his Canadian roots:
  7. I'm a Cleveland fan, but this seems very fishy to me. If Rudolph had made a racial slur, why didn't Garrett mention that right away?
  8. I actually haven't seen the video. Maybe I should. ☺
  9. Wednesday's episode (Garth Brooks) is also up On Demand. The first 15 minutes or so of today's show were preempted due to the hearings, but I did get to see them rip into Prince Andrew. ☺ I assume we will get the full episode On Demand as well. Tomorrow there are no hearings so we will get to see Julie Andrews with no interruptions!! ☺ My mom doesn't watch the show but she will watch when people like Carol Burnett are on and she's a huge Julie Andrews fan, so she will be tuning in for her. ❤
  10. There have been several covers of Wham!'s "Careless Whisper" (IMHO the best song George Michael ever recorded - and he recorded many great songs) - but Train featuring Kenny G on sax is the best one. 😎☺
  11. My dream car...😉😂
  12. I found this photo and blurb from a 1979 magazine. Enjoy!!
  13. Here's an article about life lessons to be learned by Joe Kenda's example: https://thefederalist.com/2019/11/20/6-lessons-for-men-from-homicide-hunter-joe-kenda/
  14. Mary Downing Hahn was one of my favorite authors growing up. I've never really been a supernatural fan, so I preferred her other titles such as Daphne's Book, Following the Mystery Man, Tallahassee Higgins, December Stillness, Stepping on the Cracks, etc. Just last year, I wrote to her and she sent me a lovely letter back as well as autographing a photo. ☺
  15. Thank goodness, today's show is available at CBS.com. ☺
  16. Those of us in the Eastern and Central Time Zones lucked out yesterday, but not today. I watch this show to escape from politics. GRRRRRR...
  17. As expected, Myles Garrett appeals his suspension: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2019/11/18/us/myles-garrett-appeals-suspension/index.html Meanwhile, his teammate Sheldon Richardson defends Garrett and reiterates that Rudolph should have been punished as well: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/browns-player-on-mason-rudolphs-role-in-fight-with-myles-garrett-he-asked-for-it/amp/
  18. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are the hearings scheduled this week. At least on Friday the hearings were over just as the (pre-taped) episode started. I hope that tomorrow's episode will be available to all because I want to hear their take on the Prince Andrew interview (and for Sheryl to give him a verbal smackdown the way only she can). I tweeted the show's official account asking for them to consider those of us not on Pacific/Mountain time and make the episode available in case of preemption. Hopefully, someone is listening. I too was disappointed to miss the Marla Gibbs interview.
  19. She still has those qualities all these years later. ☺
  20. That is, if those of us in the Eastern and Central Time Zones can actually see the show. (How many impeachment hearings are scheduled for this week?)
