  1. Good episode, I like the way the cast gels, both all together and in smaller groups. The auto-tuned fight was a nice touch, as was the backhanded swipe at Soundcloud rappers. However, are wine bars really a thing? Or are they making a low-key joke about them? With the alcohol content in an average glass and the perceived rate of consumption, these people should be hammered all day every day. Or they are all high-functioning alcoholics.
  2. Okay episode, but the storytelling is very clunky and sorta contradictory. The awful puppetry on the Bantha mouth made it look like a long- discarded Sesame Street character.
  3. Best episode of the season for me. Unfortunately, that's not saying much.
  4. No Wierzbowski or Spunkmeyer, either! 😁
  5. I can recommend the "Takeshi Kovacs" trilogy from Richard Morgan, which was adapted for TV as Altered Carbon (the title of the first book). I haven't seen the show yet though.
  6. I'm happy with it. Like most, disappointed with only six episodes and the focus on Laconia, but I'm a book reader so I wasn't really surprised. They could've shoehorned in a "vision" from Miller or video call from Havelock, but I guess they decided against it.
  7. Kevin Flynn (Tron) Douglas Quaid (Total Recall)
  8. So he walks into an open heart transplant right off the street? Who writes this crap?
  9. Wow, Jay More. Get it??
  10. This one was interesting, especially the Moms. Ty seems to be a real piece of work, though.
  11. Those morons didn't have a laptop in the car to check the SD card?
  12. I kept thinking the main drug lord is Michael Malarkey with an accent. They could be twins.
  13. Semi-filler episode in a 6 ep season. Sigh.
  14. Yes on the TY AND THAT GUY podcast they said Harris schedule was very hard to work around , they would have loved to get more of him. They can’t afford to hold actors of that stature for more than a season at a time. On the other hand David Straitharn asked to come back for another season since he was enjoying the work so much. I've said it before, I would love to see Thomas Magnum err Dimitri Havelock show up on a quick video feed . . .
  15. Watched this one after the Amazon mini series. Some of the footage was exactly the same, but this focused more on the people who got out but went bankrupt. They showed a different designer and talked to a former warehouse worker. Spent too much time with the one black guy. The smarmy twats at the end were clearly those who got in early and made bank. (One was allegedly the very first salesperson.) Also just noticed that the company logo looks like a pyramid, just from a top view. One more thing - if you thought the crotch patterns were funny, you should see the butthole ones . . .
  16. The RRHoF has been a joke for a long time thanks to Jan Wenner's involvement and personal grudges. The bands/artists that haven't been inducted would make a pretty good Hall of Fame. Here are stats on a 70s-80s rock band that is NOT in, and hasn't even been nominated: Over 50 million in certified (not claimed) sales Their first five albums went 5X, 7X, 5X, 6X, and 3X platinum 9 top 10 singles (7 top 5s) Significant radio airplay across multiple decades The band? Foreigner. They have a better pedigree than 75% of the artists currently in and will likely never sniff induction. And that's a shame.
  17. The only character I'm really interested in is Jharrel's brother, who hasn't even shown up yet . . .
  18. She will clench her manly man-hating square jaw and brood some more, and then take it out on her "secret" manly man. Man. It's not Rand. At least not by himself.
  19. As I suspected, and mentioned in an earlier episode thread, Angela is playing the long game. I think she was trying to frame her husband for killing her dealer son, and had to make it look like he was sending a message by killing a meddling cop's wife.
  20. Kyle Mooney is waaay past his expiration date. Fred Armisen must have gifted him the pictures of Lorne and dead hookers . . .
  21. When the topic is jackassery, the answer is always man-bun. Always.
  22. Well, they did get a LOT of help from a pack of direwolves, but I see your point.
  23. Best episode so far. I was going to make a joke about a "ROYGBIV wedding", but then Nyneave . . . So the Tinkers are part Edema Ruh and part Amish? I was hoping Birgitte would get to see the world. Maybe Thom will pick her up.
  24. Hemp rope! Of course . . .
