I think my cat had a stroke. He will be spending the day at the vet’s tomorrow for testing and observation. He’s 20 1/2 years old and has been on Norvasc (BP med) for awhile now. I’m hoping he recovers well enough that I don’t have to make any big decisions tomorrow 🙏🏻

Very easily. I eat plain popcorn with no flavorings, butter or salt. I, by default, have been on my Dad’s low to no sodium diet for decades. When you aren’t used to it you don’t crave it. It also gives me difficulties as prepared food, eating out or regular canned foods are usually too salty for me. Even when I try to use the lower sodium options. Basically I have to cook from scratch every night.

I was looking for something light to watch and came upon this singing game show called We Are Family. The premise is the family member of a star/singer comes on and sings a song and they give you clues to the identity. Then the relative sings a duet with their celebrity family member. It’s hosted by Anthony Anderson. Well my eyes did a double take in the third round as I saw Sophia Urmanski. She was singing a tune and then with her Mom Kyle. Obviously I got it before the clues as I knew her from the reality show. Kyle didn’t sound too much like herself when singing and might have used auto tuning, but sounded good. Sophia was nervous, but as pretty as always. I wonder that Morgan Wade helped them up their game for this performance.

I was waiting in the hospital lobby yesterday waiting for someone to get transferred from recovery to a room and guess what. All of a sudden I saw an ant crawling on the table next to me. Looks like an any invasion this year! Sorry for the crappy photo, but when I enlarged and cropped it this was the best I could get

Yes, but he’s so miserable someone has to care. My friends say I’m too kind.

He had surgery, but will be required to have a second operation tomorrow. They have him in the ICU for now.

Please put your hands together to pray for my next door neighbor (the guy I eat dinner with every night). He’s in emergency surgery right now. Thank you.

Going to record Jane Pittman tonight. Last night I recorded Moonstruck. It’s supposed to be a rainy weekend.

Well, last night I was told I needed to get something in the mail so it would arrive no later than Tuesday. So I was there at the PO when it opened at 9. I sent it overnight because yesterday when I paid for something to go to Philadelphia ($30) I was told it would not get there until Monday. So today the overnight rate to Denver, CO was $60, but it would be there tomorrow night by 6. Now if they can get something to Denver in 36 hours, why does it take 3 days to get to Philadelphia? I live on the East Coast. The postal system does not make sense nor do they keep to the prices they advertise.

My peeve today is that I went to the post office to mail something overnight. So I selected the correct envelope and form to fill it out. Then I went to the desk and she asked if I wanted to pay for overnight. Duh, that’s what stuff I selected. She then said I had a choice of delivery Saturday or Monday. (This was going to a government agency) I politely asked why it wasn’t able to get there tomorrow. Again she stated my choices and that if I chose Saturday the envelope would not fit in their PO Box. (She was unwilling to answer the question) So basically I had to pay for overnight to get it delivered on Monday. I was there well before noon and wish I had chosen Priority…which who knows if it would have arrived at the same time. 😡

Changing the subject (I hope that’s ok) Lately I’ve been getting into some Turkish television. It all began when I watched a series (The Tailor) on Netflix just to check it out. Well I just came upon a movie they recommended called Paper Lives. It is a tremendous film about street life in Istanbul. The scenery, music and acting help weave together a powerful story about a young abandoned boy who befriends a man who runs a solid waste warehouse. Also it doesn’t hurt that the lead actor, Çagatay Ulusoy is an excellent expressive actor and is very easy on the eyes. It has excellent reviews. It is worth watching if you’re in the mood to try something new or different.

No clue about Clock. I think Spaghetti and Meatballs is Jeremy Allen White. His hit show on Showtime was Shameless and his current hit on Hulu is The Bear where he portrays an Italian chef.
