  1. I have to say that I didn’t see it in pre-afterlife Eleanor’s character to care so much about what a bartender’s favorite lecture video was. It has to be that she was vulnerable in that moment, and found comfort in Michael not kicking her when she was down. Perhaps it was the first time in her life it had happened; her parents weren’t good for her and her friends were even worse people than she was. i also enjoyed the doorman’s interest in frogs. I have family members who like them in that same way.
  2. Funny part is, Michael accomplished his main objective without getting caught by Gen for going to Earth more than once. But you knew he would keep pushing his luck and happen to be gone when Gen came back to the ticker room to check on the progress.
  3. I did notice that the residents were not in their work clothes when Park was drinking with them, so perhaps it was when they were off duty. It's full-circle to see the residents we met and got to know in Season 1 (Claire and Shaun), now veterans of the hospital and supervising new residents who are in the same position they were in during S1 (Claire seemed to be working there a fair amount of time longer than Shaun but I get the vibe she was also fairly new at that time).
  4. I didn't care much for the Melendez "guidance" scenes, but I am glad that they did help Claire in a way. If the showrunners want to honor Melendez, they could have renamed the hospital "San Jose St. Bonaventure with Neil Melendez Hospital". :P And I spent most of the episode doing the same. 4x03 as well. There's been untold cases of COVID in that hospital.
  5. What a way for the show to make a return. This episode did a great job in showing just how dangerous the pandemic really is, and how it's best to just stay home and avoid being in crowds if you can. I'm surprised how accurately they captured it.
  6. I really enjoy watching the episodes that have Amy’s parents in them; they’re so uptight and stiff that it makes their encounters with polar opposites in Marie and Frank hilarious. One of those episodes I enjoyed that wasn’t on the list is “Security”. Hank and Pat don’t take up a huge wad of time in the episode, but I still found it a major episode for them because they disagreed on something for once (whether Robert should retire or not).

I haven't followed NASCAR for several years due to the playoff system and stage racing making it less... about racing and too much like the other sports. But I used to follow it religiously from 2000-2014; hardly ever missed a race during that time.
  8. That's good news that we have a Season 4 premiere date. I was starting to wonder about it for a while and thought maybe it was delayed because of the pandemic. But I just saw on next-episode.net that the show will be back on November 2nd, as thuganomics85 already pointed out above.
  9. It'll be a shame that Robby will probably be kicked out of school for what happened, but the onus was on him to control whether or not he was going to put himself into a situation that had dire consequences. As for the S3 trailer overall and premiere date announcement: FINALLY! :) I thought we were gonna get it this year at first, since the previous two seasons aired in 2018 and 2019, but 3 months isn't insanely far off.
  10. That scene where Kreese puts the possibility into Johnny's head that Daniel might steal Miguel as a student was well done. Obviously Miguel was planning on staying loyal to Johnny (the talk at the restaurant helped that though; Hawk didn't get that same talk with Johnny so he just went on thinking Johnny favored his son over his students, even though he was with a rival dojo & Kreese took advantage of Hawk's feelings on that, in a way), but in Johnny's mind, it's very feasible that Daniel could poach him. After all, he still blames Daniel for losing Ali and believes he stole her, and Daniel ended up training Johnny's son after years of neglect kept Robby from truly connecting with Johnny. It's crazy that we have to wait until 2021 for Season 3, by the way. Filming was finished in 2019.
  11. That's what I believe as well. Johnny believes that he and Ali could have made up had Daniel not come along, and him saying to Miguel in episode 1x08, "LaRusso won [the tournament], I lost. But what's worse is that I lost Ali." He saw that as his last chance, is what I gathered. That's where Ali will have to come along, and tell Johnny it wouldn't have made a difference, and that she didn't like the person he became once being heavily involved with Cobra Kai. This show is way better than the Karate Kid remake from 2010. The movie wasn't bad, but this show gives more of an original Karate Kid feel and even expands on some things we saw in the originals (like how the Cobra Kai students were so invested in their karate training because it had changed their social lives for the better, it began turning them into aggressive kids with chips on their shoulders, I imagine Johnny and the OG Cobra Kai's from the 80's had a similar development). The Season 3 wait is getting intense! Wish it were here.
  12. I'm very concerned now that Shaun will begin to think he will get what he wants if he raises enough hell. Last season, even though he initially didn't get his job back after the office meltdown, he got it back some time later. The same deal just happened with Lea. If so, I hope it won't be an aspect we will have to deal with for all of next season. I actually think the show had guts in killing off one of the main characters after the show had been established. Bates Motel shied away from it until it HAD to happen for story timeline reasons or because they were at the finale episode, and a lot of the characters killed off in that show were one-off appearances or characters who didn't appear often.
  13. It's been a while since I've watched this show. But I never considered that Regina might have looked at Snow during the Enchanted Forest era, and saw in her a younger version of herself that needed punishing. I can see that, but only to a tiny extent (and only because of the Season 5 episode flashback of Regina as a child, which was the only flashback we ever got in seeing her that young). I still very much considered her a villain during Season 4, given that she still had Sidney locked up, and she retrapped him in the mirror (her "it's only temporary" line I took zero weight in; I maintain that if Ingrid had not freed him, he would have spent the rest of the series in there). And then, she thinks she deserves a happy ending without doing ANYTHING to rectify her past villainy, like reaching out to family members of people she'd killed, or reuniting the children with their fathers that she seperated them from (I'm sure Grace and Hansel/Gretel weren't the only victims in this category). I'm glad Geppetto brought it up after she'd yelled at Pinocchio, because Snow and Charming are all too happy to brush it off (there was the whole 'should we trust her' from them during the Neverland episodes, but suddenly, after that, they consider her good). Regarding the Wonderland arc from that spin-off, I always wondered where that fit into the OuaT timeline. During the spin-off show, Will mentions he lived in Storybrooke previously when they go back there, and he appeared in the original show during Season 4. And we don't see Cora during any of the modern day scenes in Wonderland, so I assume she'd already left long ago. Wow, I remmeber a lot for not having watched this show in a while. Though I used to watch it a lot.
  14. What a horrible situation that Wes was in. I understand why Lim didn't want Max to compromise his life before he turned 18, but I hope Wes got a transplant. Shaun has to realize that Lea doesn't want to be his girlfriend, and give her space to figure herself out. If he keeps up with his insane insistence on "fixing himself" or being insanely persistent, he could lose Lea as a friend as well. Shaun needs to realize there is nothing about himself that is the reason Lea doesn't want to be with him, and that if it IS his autism, then SHE is the one that needs to figure herself out & decide if it is something that she is willing to live/work with.
  15. Lea had the reaction that I totally expected. Clearly, she does not like Shaun romantically. Or maybe she does, and doesn't think she would make a good girlfriend (based on what she said about being unreliable and a mess). Can she ever improve? That much remains to be seen, but it's not a good sign that at this point in her life, she hadn't done something about it. Personally, I hate that the show wrote Shaun into this. He had a girlfriend that he was a good fit with in Carly (a better fit than he'd be with Lea at this time), yet she ends their relationship because of Shaun and Lea's karaoke dancing enjoyment of each other. Bottom line is, Shaun deserves to be happy in a relationship instead of worrying about changing himself in any way. For the workforce, improvement is absolutely necessary, but if we're talking about finding love, Shaun needs to not worry about that.
  16. There is one glaring constant that has become so frequent of an occurrence at St. Bonaventure, that no one even bats an eye to it happening, and I find it extremely funny. That happening being people talking about their personal lives so often during work, even during a procedure. Most namely Shaun talking about his relationships with his friends or girlfriend. While I find it realistic that Shaun would do that (what guy wouldn't be excited about moving steps forward with his girlfriend? Add his autism into it as well), I feel that if this happened at a real life hospital, all of his co-workers would repeatedly tell him to focus on work and to not mention his love life, or worse, report him to HR. I suppose I knew it would happen eventually, but plot armor is now separating Shaun and Carly and declaring Lea the one that Shaun loves. Shaun was just looking at her as a friend, but now that Carly said that to him, he's going to believe it by the looks of the promo for the next episode. It's a mistake on Shaun's part. Lea got his hopes up in Season 1 when they kissed on the road trip, that he might finally be able to form a relationship with and date a girl, only for her to promptly announce on that same trip that she was moving away to Pennsylvania. Months later, she comes back with bags outside Shaun's apartment and acts like nothing happened. That's why I'm glad that Glassman later called her out on it; I do think it sunk in to her when she heard it from him. And later when Shaun got demoted and then fired by a boss who wrote him off from the start due to his autism, she acted like it wasn't a big deal and seemed annoyed when he would talk about it. I know that she has been there for Shaun during some other bad events, and I do like her for that, but I just don't think she is the best relationship option for Shaun at this point in time considering everything that has happened between them that hasn't been addressed yet. I get the impression that both Reznick and Park put in a complaint about Melendez, and that Morgan put in hers after she heard that there was already a complaint out. It would look worse if they tried to fire her when her boss had the whistle blown on him twice. But I clapped big time when Lim realized everything that was really going on (except for Morgan's medical problem, but I think she might suspect something now), and said that she would let go anyone if it was deserved, no matter what complaints were floating around. I could only laugh watching Morgan try to upset Shaun when he took over her procedure, and seeing none of it working. She is just bad at trying to rattle people. This isn't the first time she's tried to upset Shaun, and she has never succeeded in doing so! And he's the EASIEST person at the hospital to upset!! I guess the best news for my hopes of continued character development, is that there will be a 4th season of this show.
  17. I definitely thought Kayley was in the wrong. You don't make video of someone revealing their name and then broadcast it for the whole world to see. It's an invasion of privacy, and in some cases, it's even against the law. I work at a place that posts Facebook pictures of events and the employees attending them, but each employee has to sign a form saying that it's okay for their picture to be posted (they can decline if they choose, as there's a box they can check on the form saying that they don't want that). edit: She did not have Shaun's permission and it was wrong for that reason, is what I'm getting at.
  18. Injuries like the one that the mother had are very serious and need to be treated immediately. I'm glad she wasn't enough of an idiot to refuse that, at least. But she still earns a lot of points in that department for refusing anything that could remove the pain during the procedure. Dr. Andrews even told her that the hospital would refer her to a counselor in the event that she did relapse, and she STILL refused! All because she was afraid that her husband would leave her if he knew about her past. Hiding something that big will take its mental toll on you as well, and destroy your life slowly. I also found Morgan's "she puts up with you and your stuff" comment to Shaun about Carly to be very insensitive (especially since, as one poster pointed out, she's got a problem of her own that could affect her life) but everything else she said about Carly was spot on, and everything she said about Lea as well. Carly's clearly a better option for Shaun relationship-wise than Lea, because Carly stops to think about how certain actions affect people (if her one flaw was not including Shaun in a GIRLS night, I think she's great). Lea on the other hand, already kissed Shaun once (and she knew that the experience gave him feelings for her) and then skipped town. Maybe she's learned from that, since Shaun and Glassman both called her on it, but I don't think Shaun should be so fast to just trust her fully again. Lea IS a good friend to Shaun though, so I do think she is good for him in that way. And Carly's feelings about him being able to do with Lea what they had been trying for weeks and failed were completely understandable.. I will also assume that the guy who came in to be treated for the balloons was in bigger trouble than he ever let on, and that's why he came back to steal his sample with the drugs in it (if it was him?). Huge points for Claire, and since David Shore will never let her win and enjoy it, I will! She deserves it.
  19. I can definitely see Tory being put into a Juvie center after the fight. She might have been able to show up at Cobra Kai's dojo that same night because no ruling had been enforced on her yet. She strikes me as someone who has gotten away with doing stuff her whole life because of a lack of parental or mentor guidance, hence why she thought it was fine to grab the microphone away from school staff and hit THEM (it sounded on the mic that Tory hit the woman she took the mic from) before threatening a student for the whole school to hear. Add the whole spiked knuckles thing as well. Kreese didn't help matters either, he pretty much gave her permission to act like a psycho, which I wouldn't even call Hawk (I get the feeling even he would have thought the spiked knuckles was going too far). as far as Stingray, I think he was solely added to the show to relate to older fans of this show who grew up watching Karate Kid, in an attempt to "inspire" that group of people to the way of thinking that they're not too old to take up karate or enjoy the show.
  20. Well, that's twice that Shaun cut somebody a break and they screwed him over (the first time was in Season 1 when he chose to not confront Kenny over his criminal history, then he got his TV stolen by Kenny and denounced by him for having "quirks"). I wish he'd have just stuck with his instinct, and that Glassman realized this wasn't comparable to what happened with his daughter (the events Shaun went through in Season 1 were more comparable, and him pushing Shaun to get therapy then makes sense now; he hadn't pushed Maddie to do so and she ended up dead. Shaun also followed the same pattern of behavior of getting in a dangerous situation then running away that Maddie did before her death, which makes all his phone calls during the road trip with Lea make sense). Shaun probably handled it all the right way (what his father said to him would upset neurotypicals), but part of me wanted him to say, "Was dad on morphine when he threw my rabbit against the wall and killed it? Was he on morphine when he screamed at me 'Why can't you be normal?!' He just proved he's not a person that deserves sympathy." His mother just wanted to make excuses for all that happened. Notice how in all of her scenes in this episode, she never once said that she and his dad were wrong? She just went on about THEM and how Shaun's autism affected THEM and how THEY didn't know what to do for him. How about thinking about what your son has to go through, y'know, the one born with the condition he has to live with for his whole life?? His mother just wanted him to come and be nice to his dad, and forget about all his dad put him through growing up. NO WAY. What you go through during those years can leave SCARS for life. Shaun's mother is just as bad when you consider she stood there and never protected Shaun, choosing her husband over her kids no matter how bad he treated them. OK, here's the good. I did like Claire's conversation with that football player, and her FINALLY seeing someone to talk to about what she has been though. These are the first steps in her mental recovery, hopefully. Lea brought a nice S1 callback with Shaun's "tequila, stat!" line. She then offsat it by trying to talk Shaun into going in the water with her without clothes. She very well could have been just trying to get Shaun's mind off everything going on, but she needs to consider that he has a girlfriend that he's been trying to make a strained situation with work out, and that it's gonna look bad to Carly when she finds out. I was OK with Lea holding Shaun though, given how hurt and upset he was. I saw that as a friend calming down a friend.
  21. I 100% believe that Shaun was miffed, and a nerve of his was hit when the nurse brought up how Carly possibly didn't think of him as a real boyfriend. I think he didn't expect such a response from her and could possibly have been hurt by it. No doubt that everything I just mentioned was what caused Shaun to lash out at her later over the way she handed him his clamp. Shaun COMPLETELY handled it wrong, btw. He's not good at directly confronting people over stuff (possibly because of his upbringing, and the one time he actually did was with someone who wrote him off before he even met him, and demoted him before he actually did anything wrong). His problem of talking to everyone else about his relationship with Carly and not her ties into that, too. It was possibly the stress of doing a lead surgery and an unkind comment on his relationship that caused Shaun to fuss over the clamp and then throw her out of the OR. If anyone remembers, Morgan made a similar comment in episode 2x03 over his friendship with Lea, but I think Shaun just dismissed it because of how he knew Reznick was and would have expected that kind of comment. I just think Shaun wears all his emotions right on the front of his shirt, and needs therapy to help with that. That's his biggest problem rather than communication. Felt really bad for the father of that baby, and Dr. Melendez for his case ending up that way. I loved that remark by the patient, "you have a doctor shirt on, so can we finish this? " to Glassman. He's always talking to Shaun while with a patient, lol.
  22. I see why Carly had to tell Claire to "butt out" when it comes to saying how normal it is for certain date topics. The unwritten rules of dating don't apply with every single couple. I like that Shaun is brave enough to ask some questions. But at the same time, 83 questions is a bit much. Carly seemed fine with it though, so that's good I suppose. I could tell the reason that Claire was involved was because she cared about Shaun's happiness. Now that she knows he has a great chance for happiness, she'll most likely stay out of any future endeavors between he and Carly. Somebody really needs to save Reznick from herself. Maybe Park can do it. She's already got visions in her head of becoming Chief of Surgery, and there's no way she's going to get there with her main focus always on competing and worrying about what everyone else is doing. For her sake, I hope someone is able to shift some of her focus on always doing her job with excellence. She's going to need to be competitive, but all of her focus being there is going to be an albatross. Speaking of Reznick, are we ever going to get a follow-up on her grandfather? Or was he just added at the end of episode 3x01 to give Morgan's character another outlet besides the hospital (some outlet, because it lasted all of 10 seconds)? Is Claire based on a real-life woman who David Shore hates? Because the luck she has had during the whole series has been terrible. In this episode, when it looked like it was going to be the best day of her life, it turned into the worst. Hopefully someone will get involved with her the same way that Dr. Glassman did in Season 1 (he pushed her to see a therapist) when she was dealing with the aftermath of messing up that woman's intubation. Maybe she can deal with some of it on her own, but I hope she talks to somebody about it. She was great with the young girl and talking her through things, and convincing her to talk to a therapist. Claire's best luck is that Reznick is TOO focused on competition to the point where it hinders her own progress. So she's no real competition for Claire, yet.
  23. No surprise to me that once Linda started punching people, it was revealed that Shawn sent a demon to Michael's neighborhood to sabotage him. Reason #355 that I still believe Shawn was pulling the strings behind Michael's back during Season 1 and early Season 2 to ensure he failed every time. If Linda hadn't blown the cover, Michael wouldn't have caught him this time either. I have the feeling that this wasn't the last we will see of Derek. He'll end up rebooted or something and cause more problems for Jason (even if it isn't purposefully; he and Janet have some history and that alone makes it harder for Jason).
  24. It really looks like Reznick is back to her Season 1 form, of seeing competition as the most important thing. Too bad her friend/possible love interest died last season during that outbreak; I think he would have helped her to be able to see her value and self-worth. im glad to see that the date actually went well for Shaun, but unfortunately his anxiety was at a high during the date. I do give kudos to him for not freaking out and keeping it together despite that (the pickle incident aside). He has also improved with his communication, and knowing when to just provide the information the patients need (in previous seasons, he would tell them his personal opinion and scare the patients). Dr. Andrews having to step down from President isn't too big of a surprise. Him pushing so hard for Dr. Han to be hired, and then firing him was going to result in a fallout, no matter how many times Dr. Andrews had to mention that Han let go one of the most talented doctors there.
  25. As someone who liked the Karate Kid movies growing up, I can only hope that Tamlyn Tomita going into a recurring role on The Good Doctor means that she's been working with the KK reboot, Cobra Kai. ;) it is a shame to see her not be in as many episodes of this show, though.
