  1. Love love love the book. So much, I bought an animation cel from the film (Hazel and Fiver). I may have to get Netflix so I can watch this.
  2. I will miss Geoff Britton, and his Popeye arms. But I do like Jake Murray, because he at least backed up his antics with skill.
  3. I'm pretty sure they said he was growing the facial hair for stunt work on the next fast and furious movie, which would be 8.
  4. I'm pretty sure that I spotted American Ninja Warrior, Jessie Graff, as the blonde that someone upthread referred to as "halitosis breath" in the big fight scene at the end. Per ANW, she is a stunt woman on Supergirl, so I've been trying to spot her on the DVDs.
  5. Slightly off topic, but still concerning Jessie Graff, so I hope it's okay to post here. I know someone upthread mentioned that she is Supergirl's double. But I got the Supergirl season 1 DVDs, and the last episode on the second disc has her in a very visible fight scene (as a villian, not stunt doubling anyone). Jessie is one of a bunch of alien villans who break into Lord Technology, and she fights and breathes poison on one person, then fights Supergirl's sister, Alex. I'll let ya'll know if I spot her again.
  6. Liked this episode, even angela, except for the absurd kent and the duck segments. What a waste of screen time. Still kinda confused about the case. When did the guy on trial and the partner relock the skylight? And did the partner rob all those houses in the other cities? And did he always choose new partners, that seems awfully trusting... and why did the crooks keep going on and out the skylights? I can see entering via the skylights, but leaving and locking them, sounds like they wanted their MO to be discovered. Really liked Frankie and Nina, and the magic tricks.
  7. I'm psyched that the CW is running the first season, since I didn't catch on to the show until half way through the season. Thought I'd have to buy the dvds. And 2 episodes every Monday, sweet. Now I just have to decide how to record this, American ninja warrior, and rizzoli and isles when my dvr only records 2 shows at once.
  8. Regarding nina's backstory, I believe her boyfriend/fiance was a teacher, and was killed by a student as part of a gang initiation. She thought she should have seen it coming and stopped it. That's why she hasn't been in the field much since moving to Boston from Chicago. I could have some details wrong. Thinking back, I'm still not sure how Jane solved the crime, did she have some revelation once she was out of jail? What a great detective, maybe she'll teach "hang out with Maura to solve crimes" at the FBI (I did laugh at that tshirt last episode).
  9. Angie, the next time you direct Lorraine, please ask her to tone it DOWN. Also, loved seeing Cagney (Sharon Gless ). I was kinda hoping they would have her be undercover too, keeping an eye on Jane from the inside. And in the end, find out she was Cagney. Would have been hilarious.
  10. Just rewatching this episode and I'm wondering why the nuns didn't go looking for Sr. Evangeline when she missed compline or whatever the name of the prayer in the early morning is called. Also, they should have put her sneakers on the coffin, not those fancy shoes.
  11. Did anyone else think that Jane's POC at Quantico looked like Kent without his beard? I did and found it distracting. I did appreciate the callback to Dean (even though I'm not a fan of the character (the TV character, the book Dean is okay)), but was glad they didn't have him show up. Guess I've been lucky, but I've never seen the old "drop the pen to see the girl bend over" power play. That seems like a dumb power play, and really dumb to keep winking at Jane when she doesn't fall for it. Now that I know about it, I'll just say "you dropped your pen" and then kick it out of their reach. Hahaha.
  12. To answer I star's question, angela first mentioned that Maura offered her the guest house in the episode where Jane got a hero award after shooting herself/saving Frankie (also the ep where the army private got an award for saving her fellow soldiers, then got blown up, and the first episode with Casey). It just aired this weekend, I think it was the the first ep in season 3. No mention of an agreement between angela and maura.
  13. Hey, writers and producers, how about acknowledging Susie's invention of the word "fruitopsy" when she did autopsies on watermelons, when Kent was demoing the smashing of cantelopes. I miss Susie. And why did Kent have to smash so many.
  14. It is to be released on July 22. I can't wait!
  15. Bastrt - In my tv guide, it says the "late airing" will be tonight, not last night. Last night they were showing animal kingdom or something like that.
  16. No comments yet? Okay, i'll start. I really liked CJ and wish she would stick around for another episode or 2. Her comment about her RBF, and Jane's reply made me laugh. Also, liked that Nina got out of the BRIC, and helped catch the little baddie, who was obviously in on it from the first time we saw him. Also, Nina is a pretty good singer, and a good friend to go up on stage and help out Maura. Didn't care about angela or Kiki. Please don't turn Kiki into another angela. Hey, angela and Kiki, if you ask for a blender and you get a blender, don't bitch about it. At least he listened. Maura fencing was hot! I've always wanted to learn to fence. ... That's all I can think of at the moment.
  17. I liked that Frankie was into the zombie "culture". It was a nice throwback to the doomsday prepper episode, where Frankie was the only one who knew about that culture. Frankie is into fads. I was sure that kent was involved in Maura's kidnapping, I still wonder ...
  18. They are definitely setting Frankie and Nina up to become a couple. I thought there was discontinuity between the first and second ep, that I probably wouldn't have noticed if they had not run back to back. At the end of the first ep, R&I were at Jane's new place (which looked like the set of Maura's guest house at first), and it seemed like Maura had been there before (she seemed comfortable), then my DVR had a slight glitch, and at the begining of the second ep, which appeared to be a day or 2 later, seemed like Maura had hardly ever been there. During the hostage situation, Jane should have pointed out that if Alice killed the kid, and Jane them killed her, that people wouldn't think Rouge cop Jane just went nuts, cause alice killed the hostage. Alice's logic made no sense. But all in all, happy to have them back on my screen. I hope Maura has no lasting memory damage from the gunshot/graze. Oh, one last thing from the first ep, I couldn't tell where Nina was in relation to Jane, but since Jane was standing out in the open after the first shots, Alice was a really bad shot. And where was Jane hiding her gun? ?????
  19. Just noticed (in my tv section) that Rizzoli and Isles season 7 starts up tomorrow night (Monday) @ 9:00, for two new episodes. No season 6 recap scheduled, but it's starting Monday vice Tuesday. Now I have to read how last season ended. Recaps, here I come.
  20. Regarding Owen's kissing style (face eating), I was just watching Made of Honor (with Patrick Dempsey and Kevin Mc Kidd, and at one point Kevin is kissing his fiance goodbye at the airport and Patrick is impatiently waiting in the car and he says, "What's he going to do, eat her? Come on, take a breath take a breath" and I almost fell on the floor laughing. It's a kevin thing. ...
  21. Regarding Callie picking up and moving to NYC, doesn't it take some time to move all your crap across the country? And didn't penny trade in the 2 bedroom apartment for a one bedroom, in order to save money so she could fly back and forth? I really think Callie should go there on her own to make sure things will work out, given the way she dismissed penny, and then come back for sofia. But, then again, I'm a practical person. Regarding jolex, I'm concerned that seeing alex beat down DeLuca like he did will freak out jo with flashbacks to her abusive husband (ie, seeing alex be so abusive. ...). If I'd been abused, I don't think (logically) I could stay with someone that I now saw beating someone else. Their future could be alex facing charges for beating up DeLuca, and jo running again. And, just a legal question. If she legally changed her name, wouldn't that be in the public record? So couldn't the husband look to the courts for her new name? And if she just started using a new name, would be hard to get into med school, get hired by GS hospital, this was not a well thought out recon. ...
  22. I think they used that song, so that later in the episode, Barbara could call Tom "Tiger", and it would be a funny callback to the song. I was glad that we finally got some Patsy/Delia scenes, and that they went to a club where they could dance instead of just sneaking around Nonnotous House.
  23. I like her a lot too, and was very upset last season when the younger midwives laughed after she left the room after buying a ticket to the square dance ( not sure which ep, and can't recall what she said). They could have at least tried to keep the laughter down until she walked away. They seemed way too clicky at that moment for me (I may be overly sensitive as I'm older than a lot of my coworkers).
  24. For some reason, all day long today, I've been thinking that this episode could have really used Carlos to knock some sense into Callie (like he did with the lawsuit episode). Obviously, Callie assumed she would win, since she was found "not guilty" after the "prosecution rested" in that case (haha, laughing because those are not terms used in a lawsuit).
  25. I have so many questions about this super prestigious Premier grant, that we never heard of before, but is apparently an annual event, since Penny (before she sneakily applied) made a comment that they always pick senior residents (or interns, I can never remember the order of these levels) and she would just apply the next year. So, super prestigious annual event that we've never heard of before, even though GS is such a prestigious teaching hospital, so people like Christina or Lexie should have gotten it. Is this a grant just for GS interns/residents (i/r)? They said in the ep where it was awarded that the attendings would each recommend one i/r, and after discussion the chief of surgery (bailey) would decide on the winner. I understand that the winner would need a few weeks/a month to prepare to leave, but how long has it been since it's been awarded? Where I work, if you get some big thing (full time academic training with normal pay, a physical move to a new city paid for by the company) you owe the company a certain amount of (I'll say) loyalty to come back. Training is 3 times the amount of time you were out in training, the move is you have to reimburse all moving costs. So, if GS is anything like my company, Penny would have to come back or would owe GS some major bucks. Oh, and my company would not pay for Callie to move, unless they got married.
