The Winders: Kermit/Colton and the Muppets, Sophie and Tami
Kyanight replied to Scarlett45's topic in Seeking Sister Wife
By the way, I commented on one of your husband's articles and he (you?) kindly replied. I love that cute little fuzzy Shaun the Sheep - so I am not trying to be anonymous, lol. It's always obvious it's me. -
OH YEAH - I completely forgot - she couldn't put the dog down or he would pee on her rug!! Can't they house train him???

Season 10 Spoilers, Speculation and Social Media
Kyanight replied to Galloway Cave's topic in Sister Wives
In Aspyn's wedding pictures Janelle looks enormous. It could have been her dress choice, though. -
I also like Vanessa. I think she is very pretty and she seems very kind-hearted. I don't think it's going to work though. There isn't enough give and take/compromise. I can see Vanessa giving up meat at home, but they should allow her to eat it when they go out. The Snowdens pick and choose aspects from many religions - such as the "Bindi" that Ashley and her daughters adopted this season, which was not present last season. Nothing wrong with that, per se, but it's hard for someone coming into the family to learn and understand all of the rules and reasons behind them. I had no clue there was a polygamy dating website. Is there? I have to say that I was very surprised they moved out of the trailer and into a home at this point in time, since they wanted to allow the new wife a say in the house they pick out for all of them. I did hear Mrs. McGee (I think it was she) say that they would then move again when they added to their family. I just don't like to move around so I would have stayed in the trailer until the new sister wife was added, but that is just a personal choice. Adding to my own post: I also wonder at the wisdom of moving into this spacious house and giving each boy his own room at this point in time. There are going to be adjustments and possibly initial slight resentments as the family adjusts to a new wife/possibly new siblings and having one's own bedroom is not likely. (Although possible.) I had a large family (LOVE kids!) and my son's didn't have their own bedrooms until they were grown, so this is NOT a polygamy "thing". lol As I said in their thread, I liked the Winders much better this episode. I honestly DO think that Jennifer has an emergency. She seemed to really like both Jeff and the wives and she also seemed sincere that she was looking forward to doing their nails. She also looked genuinely distressed (red, tight face) when she said she had to leave. I completely believed her, and I am always so skeptical! lol If I were going to join a Mormon family as a new wife, this would be the family I would choose.

I think that is mainly a Utah/small town prejudice. -

Sweet article! You live in Kody Brown's old house? It's an amazing house - wonderful set-up. I couldn't believe they left it. And yeah - loved the cheese vendor. Was sorry to hear that some people refused to buy cheese from him when they knew he was a polygamist. If that were in Denver, the majority of the buyers wouldn't care at all. -
Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)

She looked ginormous in Aspyn's wedding pics. -

So every time I look at the Sister Wives board to see if there are any posts to read - the title of this thread cracks me up. "Kody wants out". I keep picturing Robyn (or one of the other wives) locking Kody in the basement. Or in a trunk or something.
-
Sunny, that is simply not true. We could watch them toss mats on the floor of the garage and wrestle around. We could watch them make things out of canned corn and pompoms. We could watch Kody model Lularoe items from the racks. We could watch Meri cry. - oh scratch that - we've already seen a lot of that.

Did anyone else find Dimitri's "extremes" ridiculous? With the first (aired on TV) potential sister wife, Dimitri drools and jumps her bones. Wife Ashley says, "Now you blew it - you don't get this one and we start over!" So next potential sister wife Dimitri can't.... freaking touch her hand??? Now I COULD be mistaken.... but it seems to me there is a whole lot of gray area between boinking and hand holding. They are grown adults..... so hand holding and a kiss goodnight is a far cry from having sex. I found Dimitri's behavior to be incredibly stupid when Vanessa touched his arm/hand/elbow/whatever-it-was-however-it-was-definitely-not-his-dick and he freaked out. What - are you 13 years old?
-
Oh my gosh - just take out a second mortgage on your house! That's what Tony said Kody needed to do to finance he and Mykelti's taco fiesta frisbee wedding! Ole'!!
-
Sure! A Duggar side hug. If the price was right. Obscene amount of money right.
-
At first I agreed with your post but then I thought about it. I know Mitch means it now - but how will he feel in 5 years? 8 years? When someone believes they MUST do something to please God, whatever the wife wants or whatever was said or promised many years ago takes a back seat. Probably because they didn't go on TV and flaunt it. He was breaking the law and by going on Reality TV he was throwing it in Utah's proverbial face. They can look the other way if no one is making waves, but why have laws if you aren't going to enforce them? He was practically forcing them to take action.
-
And neither is as bad as Tony's head and facial hair.

We didn't have a cash bar at my wedding (EONS ago!) but when I watch the show "Four Weddings" I have seen it fairly frequently I think.
-
But Ysabel doesn't WANT surgery now. She wants to please her dad, and last night she told her dad that she didn't want it.
-
There's no evidence for the bolded. Agreed that she doesn't seem 100% on board, but they've told us it was HER idea, that SHE convinced the husband, so to just assume she's trapped in the relationship with no confidence and can't get out of the relationship is just making up stuff, which seems unnecessary. Well the first part is fine - the poster wrote: "She doesn't APPEAR to have the confidence". If she had said "She SEEMS to be trapped......." it would have been her opinion from what she has seen on the show. I do see your point with as it is written. And now I am going to say THIS - I don't believe Mrs. McGee feels trapped, but I can't help wondering if she is trying to please her husband by adding another wife. April Briney did just that. And no, that wasn't speculation on my part.

Hoarding: Buried Alive - General Discussion
Kyanight replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Hoarding: Buried Alive
People who are mentally healthy do not live like this. Everyone doesn't have to be neat freaks and there is nothing wrong with living in clutter, if that doesn't bother you. But when your house moves beyond clutter into carpets that can never be vacuumed/floors that can't be swept or mopped, counters that can't be cleaned, bathtubs and toilets that aren't scrubbed - living in dirt and filth - something definitely needs to be done. People who live like this don't even mind it because it becomes the "norm" for them, and they don't see anything wrong with it. I might like to check out that show. My mum was a hoarder - she was an antique book collector. (Among other things). We had pathways through the house. The garage was filled from floor to ceiling and so was the entire FULL basement. You couldn't even go into either because stuff was packed up to the doorways. The stairs had a narrow aisle left because stuff was stacked on the stairs. The laundry room and hallways were full. Spare bedroom packed to the door. Stuff stacked all over the bathrooms, the living room, the dining room (table buried, of course.) I couldn't have friends over. My mum was CLEAN - no bugs, no garbage or trash so maybe she wouldn't have been interesting enough for the show - but she wouldn't have gotten rid of anything, anyway. It was definitely a mental illness. She passed away (from Altzheimers) and my dad sold her books to a bookseller back east. They had three FULL semi trucks, a crew of 11 - and it took them three full days to move the books out of the house. It's STILL full of stuff (just not books) - and my dad won't let you toss out/donate anything. He's a hoarder, too. I wonder how many hoarder COUPLES there are? I tried to load a picture but am told they are too big and I don't know how to fix them. -
Oh I'm glad you brought this up! It struck me as really odd at the time, and I was wondering if any of you had any thoughts on this: WHY did Kody help cut the ribbon??? I think it should have been Meri alone, or Meri and the mayor. Kody didn't help get the place, he isn't part-owner - so.... why is he cutting the ribbon?
-
Interesting! Nice to get different viewpoints!
-
Ah! I shouldn't have assumed YOU were the husband! Thank you for replying, I thought you had left. : )
-
Well...... how much? Like... if TLC said, "We need a stranger to come up and hug Meri/Kody and say how they love the show and we will pay you $40,087.33"..... I would do it.

I definitely think Aspyn is more invested in this relationship than Mitch is. It's like she wants to get married and he guesses that would be ok. He loves her - he's just not crazy about her. (Or that's how it seems.) He looked much better with the shorter beard. The Brown girls DO love stocky guys! And speaking of stocky guys - what happened to Tony and bologna? It's like they disappeared off of the face of the earth - at least on the show. I know people here post pics now and then. I TOTALLY agree with what everyone has said about the sunset on the porch scene. I could not believe Kody did not put his arm around Meri and give her a hug or something. Like - "Hey! GREAT open house!" ::::HUG::::: even a Duggar side hug would have been better than nothing. They NEVER touch any more. I had to laugh about the "Mom" scenes right before they left for the open house. Every time Kody said "Mom!" I cracked up! Maybe because it reminded me of me and MY mom - trying to get her out of the house to go somewhere. She's been gone for over 14 years and I miss her terribly, so I appreciated the humor there.
