  1. Well..... a red face can also prove you just drank some margaritas. It can also mean you stayed in the hot tub too long. Or perhaps you got sunburned. Now a smaller waistline after 5 years of striving might prove something....!
  2. Or maybe it's just big "come-on" to get people to send her $45 for this latest two week accountability group. Because other people do tend to eat too many sweets/calories this time of year. Next month it will be because of Thanksgiving... then Christmas... then the New Year... then Valentine's candy... and so on and so forth. Nice way to get some Ka-Ching!! to pay the mortgage. Have people send you $45 for the privilege of posting their accomplishments (or lack of) in messages. NO effort or work really involved. No operating costs... 100% profit. Like taking candy from a baby... or money from "star" struck fans. I put quotes around "star" because it's subjective - but some people love hobnobbing with anyone who has the slightest claim to fame.
  3. She keeps winning because she gets to sleep until noon or 1:00 in the afternoon and someone else can look after her kids. (I assume Kody these days, since she no longer has Mindy?) She keeps winning because she has an almost million dollar Mcmansion to live in, not some run down place somewhere that she has to actually have a :::gasp::: JOB to pay the rent and buy food and pay the phone/heat/water/all other bills. She keeps winning because her credit card debts are paid for her, and she can buy all of her Victoria Secret crap she HAS to have. She knows those other wives aren't going anywhere, no matter how much people might wish it - so she "wins" because Kody is at HER place all of the time. She can chortle and cackle and gloat, because she already WON. SHE is the legal wife... not Christine or Janelle who had been with Kody for decades and gave birth to so many of his children. Not Meri who HAD been the legal wife. AND her kids are his favorites.
  4. I agree. So what's the allure of Robyn? Oh*.... maybe he likes it when she puts on the black leather outfits and cracks the whip.....
  5. You aren't alone. I have tried to take a load of things to the thrift stores - PLURAL - we have them all over the place - and they aren't accepting anything right now because they are too full. On weekends when you drive by you see trucks and cars in a line dumping stuff off next to the closed stores. (After hours). We've also seen couples scrounging through the donations when the stores are closed, and although this outrages my son, I told him that anyone who needs stuff that badly should be welcome to it - afterall, it was unwanted in the first place. Yes, it's stealing - hopefully the people really need it. I don't want my nice stuff ruined in the weather, crushed, etc. - so I drive around with the damn stuff in my trunk and back seat, waiting for the opportunity to drop it off when they have an employee there to take it in. They have really reduced hours you can drop stuff off even when they ARE accepting items - 12:30 - 4:00 according to the signs posted. I guess less people are shopping at thrift stores right now, although you could have fooled me since the parking lots always look packed. I like to thrift, but it's not happening these days. Plus it's counter-productive to buy more junk when I am trying to get junk OUT of my house!
  6. Janelle: P.S. - To celebrate the calories burned, I am going to make a Frito pie for dinner, and treat the family to 3 dozen donuts from Krispy Kreme for dessert!
  7. HA HA HA HA HA!! I especially enjoyed the video about folding the laundry!
  8. Surely you jest! Meri? She will turn out all of the lights and pretend she isn't home.
  9. I don't think I explained myself well - sorry about that! I was the first of three wives - but I thought I was going to be the only one. And he had two other wives and a herd of kids, so he didn't care after we left. There is definitely favoritism when it comes to kids in plural marriages. This is off-topic (Janelle) so I will shut up now.
  10. It makes Kody happy to have his cookies and eat them, too. Only now he only has Robyn's cookie.
  11. None of the above. My ex-husband grew up in a plural family, I just grew up AROUND plural families, so was familiar with the concept. I met my husband when I was a senior in high school, and he swore up and down that he hated polygamy and would never want to take a second wife. Unfortunately his father was head of his own church and a very strict and authoritarian man, and my husband could never stand up to him - or maybe never wanted to stand up to him... or maybe changed his mind down the road. Personally I think my husband was tempted to cheat after several years of marriage and a few kids and by taking the witch - I mean beast, er... GIRLFRIEND as a wife, not only did he get what he wanted without a messy divorce and child support but he was the apple of Daddy's eye. I left him when my youngest were babies and my kids are all adults now ... so that was a LONG time ago. In case you were wondering and even if you weren't.... he never called the kids, never sent birthday or Christmas cards or presents, never initiated any contact whatsoever. (DID pay court ordered child support, though. Garnished.) A couple of the younger ones reached out to him and their half-brothers and sisters at various times when they got older but it definitely did not work out. The older ones didn't care.
  12. That all boils down to religious belief. If you grow up having religious doctrine pounded into you daily from the time you are a toddler, it will dictate your entire life sometimes. While I DEFINITELY think that the TLC money is paramount to this family, their roots of religion still has it's hooks in all of them. When I say that Janelle and Christine are just ex-baby mamas, it's facetious - because that is how Kody TREATS them. In reality, I know that they believe they are Kody's wives and HE sees them as his wives - it's just how it appears to society for the most part... but also in how much time and attention he gives them... which is grossly disproportionate to the time/attention/money he gives to Robyn and her brood. I think that Meri is ONLY in Flagstaff because of TLC, and when the show is over she will be gone - but she will always consider herself Kody's wife since she's not likely to find a new boyfriend besides Blair. (Tongue-in-cheek) - and I can't possibly know what was going through her head when she was entertaining the idea of being Batman's sidekick.+ I am also extremely bitter and opinionated, and that colors my words, I know.
  13. LilWharvey - you are hardly being fair. Please consider that taking photos takes time away from bending the elbow and dipping the hand into a bag of Fritos. Priorities!!!!!
  14. We live mile high in Denver... meaning we are closer to the sun and burn quicker than lower altitudes. I am guessing that Flagstaff is also high altitude... you just don't take chances. I kind of understand where she is coming from on the Vitamin D aspect - I know Chris Cuomo swears by it, in helping him recover from Covid... but with her history of Chicken Mcnuggets, it seems kind of risky. I WILL say that either Janelle is totally oblivious (which I believe anyway) or she is totally without vanity. I can't think of a single woman I know or "know" from social media, who would post such an unflattering picture of herself online.
  15. What is that white stuff? Does she top it off with whipped cream? Marshmallow Fluff? Sour cream?
  16. I don't think very many people believe what I do, but this is what I believe...... Christine and Janelle are "wives" in name only. They are essentially ex-baby mamas and Kody's moved on. Meri is an out and out ex-wife. Robyn is not just the legal wife, she is the ONLY wife, because that is how she wants it. She has used her younger two children to manipulate the situation so that the other women are pretty much cut out of the big picture. I think Kody lost interest in polygamy because it was too much work, there was too much responsibility, too many needy wives and kids, and not enough "rewards" in his opinion. SO much easier to use Covid as an excuse to permanently stay with Robyn and let everyone else fend for themselves.... although this was happening LONG before the pandemic.
  17. Everyone here doesn't have to think alike or share the same opinions. This is just a sensitive issue for everyone - no matter how you look at it.
  18. I totally agree with you. I don't think an enjoyable outing or experience is worth even one person's life... and I don't care HOW old or young that person might be. A life is a life.
  19. Like the rest of you, I see both sides of the situation. But like the rest of you, I don't really know what the solution is. Last night on the news I heard about how some people think that throwing everything wide open in the hopes of "herd immunity" might be the solution. No one thought to mention that a third of the teachers in the United States are over the age of 50. If a third of the teachers in the U.S. are dead or dealing with major health issues - who will teach the children then - even remotely? If there aren't enough teachers there will still be no proms, or home coming or football games or graduations. I guess if the teachers are compromised there are still online home schooling options - but in the end - it is still online learning. And of course there is the problem of hospitals being filled to the max and having to send critically ill people home to die. And there is still the issue of people catching this a second or third time. There IS no immunity if a virus mutates and you can catch it again and again.
  20. She had a caption - I only copied the photo for my reply. It's "Buckwheat Mushroom Risotto" with some other garbage tossed in.
  21. Maybe from Princess Di. Or Elizabeth Taylor. But Meri? Bad juju if you as me. And maybe some article of clothing like a leather jacket that they wore while performing at a concert venue filled with 20,000 people or so. Or something they wore in a movie. But schweaty LULAROT? SERIOUSLY?
  22. Personally I wouldn't want used clothing from ANY celebrity that I can think of, no matter how yummy. But I get that people DO like collecting things like that.
  23. She's a star! People buy the popcorn and have it bronzed so that they can set it on display somewhere in the living room.
