Maybe it was worth it for Dalton's well-being in Robyn's mind.

I agree with everything you said except for the first paragraph. This meeting at the restaurant was set up by either TLC or Ashley and Dimitri - Ashley knew all about it - this was no surprise. The CAMERA CREW was there, filming Ashley and her mother in the restaurant before Dimitri and Vanessa ever walked into the place. Ashley never thought the camera crew was there while she was simply going to talk to her mother about polygamy - they did that not just once but twice last season. There was no need to rehash Donna's views on polygamy. She doesn't believe in it - we get it. And I personally believe that Dimitri and Ashley coerced Donna into saying she approved of Vanessa prior to dinner - or else their role on the show was done. Mama doesn't approve - Vanessa is on the plane home.

And it varies so much for each individual family. Personally I'm not sure that marrying all the wives at once would change much. Although the first three Brown wives weren't married at the same time, the children were all first borns around the same time. That didn't seem to make any difference as far the wives learning to adjust to their plural family life and each other's personalities/jealousies/etc. And although I'm told Meri flaunted her "first wife status" - I don't think it gained her diddley squat except for what was in her head and heart. Having more than one child is what mattered to Kody - and possibly who was the most fun to be around/spend time with. And although I am starting to sound redundant - the wives' personalities are T H E biggest factor (next to the husband's ability to handle plural marriage) in success or failure. Again, using the Browns as an example - the wives are WAY past the giddy stage with Kody - they certainly aren't jealous of Meri - and yet they don't seem to get along with her. It has nothing to do with her being the former first wife - it is her personality and nature.

That would be really interesting - line up four young wives and the husband and marry them all at once. I can't even imagine the stress and chaos! lol Marriage is always such an adjustment at first. Don't forget the Alldredges - they are polygamists for religious reasons. An interesting fact about the McGees - people who go to the church that the McGees went to (they just recently converted to Judaism) have never even heard of them. Not a single person.

I think that's what I was worried about, that the woman would go off on me - I need to find out our store's policy in case it happens again. From what I understand employees aren't allowed to say anything just in case the dog turns out to be an actual service dog. But seriously folks - a chihuahua in a purse? Still can't say anything, though. They can't even say something to people who leave piss and poop behind on the floor. People are so damn rude anymore.

For some reason ALL of the guys think they are a big catch. Even McGee.

Quite a few first wives don't know what's in store when they marry the guy. My husband came from a plural family but he didn't want to live the polygamist lifestyle - until many years and children down the road. This seems somewhat typical in a lot of these cases. Tami was married for 7 years before Colton decided to take another wife - and it's in the (fundamental) religion that you do or you go against God. To go against what you have been taught your entire life is tough - and for those women who already have a lot of small children and sometimes just a high school diploma - leaving the husband and forging on her own is terrifying. Plus, usually they honestly love their husband. It takes a lot for any woman to leave the man she loves - and a ton of courage. Afterwards she loses all of her friends and sometimes the support of her extended family, not to mention financial support. Daunting with 5, 6 or more kids in tow. I totally agree with what you said about Sophie. It goes back to what I said about the husbands, too. It seems like most of these husbands are just clueless or indifferent to how to tactfully bring a family together so that it will be successful. Sophie gets hubby to herself at HER place - so why is she then at FIRST wife's place when it's first wife's turn to be with him? And talking on camera about how they are ALWAYS in the bedroom - like first wife won't see the show? It just seems carelessly or deliberately hurtful.

Welcome to the polygamy way of life.

Yes. Identical mirror image. One is right-handed and the other is left-handed. One has hair "sworls" to the right, the other to the left - etc. Here are my oldest three boys when they were little. Their brother is a year older.

Then why not have him try out a community college and see how he does? Much cheaper and he could live at home. Well maybe he is living at home now in AZ.

Someone recently posted a pic of one of the Brown wives using their snowblower on about a quarter inch of snow.

Hope they took the snow blower with them when they moved!! This may be an eye-opening experience to actually have snow to blow!

One thing I have noticed in the last few years is how many people carry their dogs around grocery stores, fast food places, Target, etc. I mean - what the heck?? I understand PetSmart and PetCo! I can't tell you how many times I have stepped over puddles and doodles because these bungholios can't even clean up after poofpoof. These people aren't even trying to pass the dogs off as service dogs, they just take them everywhere they go - and the employees in the store don't say a word. Should I carry my cat around the grocery store as I buy fresh produce, meat, etc??

Actually he is VERY good at making his own breakfast! He pours the Froot Loops into the cereal bowl... pours some milk on top - Viola!!! The actual trick is keeping long stringy hairs from falling into the food.

I think Jennifer will. If her motivation is for publicity like I think it is, her 15 minutes aren't over yet. I think this is drama cooked up by TLC. "OH no - here Melena (or whatever her name was) dumps this family and now .... gasp.... will JENNIFER do the same thing?" But no - it will turn out to be something like her niece broke her arm and was in the emergency room or something. And instead of just SAYING what the emergency was - better to leave the viewers in suspense!!!!!! She CLEARLY is a bad match for this family - and it just boggles the mind that Jeff, Vanessa and Sharis don't see it????? What the hell? Every other soul on the face of the planet knows it's obvious that this bartender scantily clothed and provocative picture posting smoking motorcycle riding "feisty" (Jeff's words) woman isn't going to fit on Polygamy ranch, babysitting a herd of kids that aren't hers while popping out a herd of her own and sewing and cooking and cleaning all day.

I wonder if this is fairly common in polygamous families? Imagine the crazy cat lady who has a ton of cats. There is no way she can give equal attention to them so she has a few favorites that are usually on her lap/sleeps on her bed, etc. and TRIES to dole out pats and love to the rest of them - or else just see that they are fed. It was certainly true in my situation. My husband liked a specific OLD fashioned name that has NEVER been popular in the last 100 years. Think on the lines of "Bertha" or "Agatha". I hated it! So when we had a girl we would come up with a name we both liked. That's fair, right? But second wife/second pregnancy has a girl and names the baby this name. Husband is over the moon. All of a sudden that is the only child. THE only child that matters. He wasn't mean to any of the other kids, they were like the crazy cat lady's extras milling around where you pat the heads and if your wife mentions something great they did or something they are interested in he murmers. "Oh, that's nice" and then does something to make THE baby laugh or talk about something cute she did, totally negating whatever it was you said about another child in the family. And did it get better as she got older? ::::::SNORT!::::: If anything it got worse. Even wife #2 noticed and would talk about it to me and #3, but it was always mentioned in a smug way. I loved ALL of the kids - but when it comes to kids getting the short end of the stick and favoritism, my blood just boils! When they are YOUR kids, if you have so many damn kids that you have favorites you should at least attempt to hide it so that the other kids don't feel like spam compared to steak. I have talked to other sister wives and this seemed to be a fairly common theme. I can only think of one family where none of the wives thought the husband didn't have a favorite kid - but that could have been just personal viewpoints when other women have kids from the same husband. In my defense though - friends even noticed how this one child was like the "golden" one. Kody not knowing much about his other kids yet knowing all the details of Sol and Ariella COULD be due to the fact that they are by far the youngest - or else Robyn EXPECTS and demands his full attention - or maybe it's just because they are Robyn's kids - if she's still the favorite. But they sure seem like the favorite kids to me, based on what we've seen and heard.

What's wrong with attending a nearby community college to see if college is going to work for you? They are all over the place. You live at home and it's much cheaper. I think that would have been the best way to ease Dalton into a new situation.

Soooooo...... there is big time drama on FB concerning the McGees. I was googling this morning to see if the two older boys were her sons or Bernie's sons and I came across a legit article about how there is a FB page for Seeking Sister Wife and as time went on if people made comments about the McGees that the moderators were defensive about, the posts were removed and people were blocked. Turns out the MCGEES were the moderators of the page! So a bunch of people felt this was a conflict of interest and created their own FB page. Fine - but then Mrs. McGee got into a fight on the board with someone there and wrote a really nasty post. After awhile she said her account was hacked (but they only wrote that one post and then she got her account back!) and they are having the FB police look into it. Here is the post she (or a hacker) wrote:

Season 10 Spoilers, Speculation and Social Media
Kyanight replied to Galloway Cave's topic in Sister Wives
I highly doubt Meri would stay in Robyn's house. She would stay in a hotel, first. Preferably an expensive one. Robyn NEEDS all of her bedrooms. -
I caught that, too. And that Ariella TOTALLY rules the roost in that house. It's a struggle to get her to eat, it's a struggle to get her to bed, she has to sleep across mom's chest. Everyone has different parenting styles, I get it. I had a LOT of kids and I picked my battles. You want to wear nothing but a diaper and cowboy boots every day? Knock yourself out. (They win). (And his twin wore nothing but a diaper and a cowboy hat. ) Bedtime is at _______ - sorry. This is dinner - either eat it or don't eat it - your choice - but you are going to be hungry by the next meal because you aren't eating junk food in-between. (Not flexible). You want your hair hanging in your eyes and don't want me to put it up? Okay. (They win). We are going to the store and there WON'T be any fits or next time you stay home with _________. Yes - parenting is ROUGH and HARD at times - but BE the parent.

Ashley knew what was up. There was NO WAY the TLC camera crew was there filming her lunch with mom if "Seeking Sister Wives" wasn't involved - so this was no surprise. And it's possible that either TLC suggested this story arc to them and they agreed or Ashley and Dimitri came up with it between the two of them. From what we have seen of Ashley in the last two seasons there is NO WAY she wouldn't be spouting lava and smoke if Dimitri sprung this on her and it was truly a surprise. If TLC wanted the viewers to believe this was spontaneous they shouldn't have filmed Ashley and her mother prior to Dimitri and Vanessa's entrance - the camera crew would have simply followed them into the restaurant. I am positive they needed prior permission to do the filming from the manager of the restaurant, as well.
-
They suggested that and Kody flat out said "NO"!

Was Sophie's mother the second wife or the first wife? Regardless, most of the polygamous families don't like going to the dentist. Meri Brown's brown front tooth is evidence of that.
