S18.E20: Sister Wives Look Back (Special Episode)

My guess is that it wasn't about the love bird couple at all. Janelle has moved on and is living her own life, and that includes plenty of wine. Works for me. -

We need a "sending warmth" emoji! Brrrr, that's awfully cold and it's still December. Be careful outside with those temps and take care not to fall! -

Yeah, that Commitment to grow together worked out well, didn't it? Well, this was fun. Not. -

And there goes Robyn, unable to watch the clip with tears in her voice as she unclips the recorder or whatever. That family commitment service was all made for TV. I've never heard of a family doing that for no reason. Or really at all. -

These relationship building clips are hard to watch. -

Ah yes, the escape to Las Vegas. Gathering the family together in prayer isn't something they did much if at all after they moved. -

I do not believe for one minute that Kody was working on his other marriages when he married Robyn. His whole world narrowed down to Robyn and maybe her kids because they were hers. -

Yup. New and shiny and pretty. And wow - younger Robyn looked so much like Breana and AuROARa look now. Egads. And her neck was much smaller. But dang, those brown dresses were so NOT attractive. Kody was wrong. Just wrong when he picked the dress. And Robyn asked him not to tell the others that he picked it which is also evil. -
S18.E19: Sister Wives: Talk Back Part 1 (Special Episode)

@Gramto6 I created an unofficial thread for chat because the official one was locked. Come join me! -
Created because the official thread is still locked 10 minutes into the episode. I really love Meri's comments about "Were you lying then or are you lying now?" about Kody talking about being in love with all his wives. Maybe I'm the only one watching this after all. I clearly don't have much of a life if I'm watching Kody be a moron on Christmas Eve.

Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
altopower replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I've been catching up on posts that FINALLY showed up (yayyyy!) and it hit me that Kody doesn't know how to apologize nor does he feel the need to do it. Everything that goes wrong is the fault of the OG wives and kids. In his patriarchal world, he is King and everything he does and says is not only right but wise and insightful. Bollocks to that. If he had ever once apologized to anyone else, they might have more respect for him. Not likely, mind you, because he is a beady-eyed dangerous moron. -
Wow, @Yeah No - I've been following that storm because I used to live on the East Coast and my former cities always get slammed, but this one really was so bad for so many places. Glad you were able to get such quick attention from so many people and get the trees removed before any more damage could happen.
-
Boy, here's a real truth that we've all experienced. I have no sympathy for Robyn on this. You don't get to tell the OG wives to come to you, kiss your horse ring, and depart from the fambly with your blessing and freedom to live with Kody in monogamy. That's not the way any of this works, you moron.
-
That's definitely part of it. But it was already crumbling because the older OG kids were off to college, marriage, jobs outside of Flag, so there was less family structure IN Flag for Truely. She's seeing functioning families in Utah, people who love her and incorporate her into what they're doing in ways they couldn't when she lived apart.
-
What was fun for little kids can lose its appeal when they get older. Christmas PJ's in whatever fabric became a predictable gift that Meri put time and effort into making, but that doesn't mean it was something they all really loved getting. Some, sure. All, probably not.
-
Oh Robyn, really? You are so NOT happy for them because she hasn't come to kiss your horse ring.
-
I don't think Meri actually likes Christine much, and we know they're not close. I'm sure she wasn't expecting an invitation.
-
Kody, the kids aren't coming to you for lots of reasons.
-
He (or Robyn) did something with those weirdo curls out in front on the forehead. They're not flopping around as per usual.
-
Kody, your life has been public for years because you put your family on TV to live in the public eye. Of course everyone knows what you're doing and has watched you.
-
That first part fits Meri to a tee. Her green jacket looked sad. They've been doing these sit-and-talk-and-say-little sessions for years now. She should know how it looks on camera.
-
Oh, she's looking up to keep from, yanno, crying. Wrinkling the face. And now Robyn needs the OG wives to go up to her to give their permission for her and Kody to live in monogamy. Why should they have to do that?
-
Christine and Janelle don't seem upset at all about Kody and Robyn now. They're being adults. Kody is still a moron every time.
-
He still can't reconcile saying "If you're not happy, you're free to leave" and screaming at Christine because she DID leave.
-
I think it's our only option, I'm afraid. And it's already making me nutty.
