I wonder how long Kody practiced to work up to that knife in the kidneys line, and his sacrificing to love Christine. He said it was real raw emotion. He just sounded like a bear.

Christine asked the blunt question to his face, Do you want to be married to me? I respect that.

Kody you didn't want the wives anyway, why do you care that they left? After you telling them essentially, If you're not happy, leave. And they did and you are pissed. Oh yeah, knife in the kidneys said through clenched teeth.

They have to have a meeting about how to talk to each other. Man, that's weird.

It's hard to get worked up about any of this when it's so old and we've rehashed it all a million times.

And all Kody had to say to Meri saying she wanted to get a legal divorce so he could marry Robyn was, "Thank you." But I do not believe it happened that way at all. And Meri and Robyn are wearing matching jackets. Oh, and Kody said he wouldn't change anything. Yeah, right. He always blamed the wives. Now everything is all Christine's fault. Soon it will be Janelle's - tho if Robyn leaves him, he may tear out what's left of his hair.

So we had to watch Robyn do her overly dramatic moaning about how she couldn't watch the commitment ceremony. Yeah, we know. Next.

Not just you at all! Back in the old days they would all be on the couch together but this is actually better since the OG3 are free! and obviously feel able to say whatever they want. Before the reactions were mostly subdued, or at least that's how I remember them. I hated the whole wedding dress situation. The OG3 were invited to go dress shopping which seemed gracious and open to a good fresh start for the wives, but then Kody dropped his bomb about picking the dress. And boy was he full of himself about it. Robyn didn't want him to tell the others, and I can't decide if telling was worse than NOT telling, because you know they would have found out anyway. I didn't like him before but I really didn't like or trust either Robyn or Kody after that.

I don't remember ever hearing about it until this season. Apparently it was before they were married, as a condition of getting married. And obviously after she'd seen Kody with three wives he was basically stringing along.

I totally get this. The trees were your privacy and felt like your friends (I felt that way about my pecan trees). You can still be sad and regretful while also being relieved that another 100 ft tree wouldn't fall on or damage your home or property. Wow, that's really tall! My dad planted a water oak in front of his house in 1986 when he moved in. When I moved down to live with him, that tree was ginormous but I had fears of it falling on the house. The new owners had to have it taken down this year because of interior rot. It broke my heart because it was Daddy's tree, but the new owners were safer.

And I'm betting the forums will be down so we can't live chat the wedding.

She sure seems miserable with how that turned out. I would really hate to be holed up in a house with him all the time.

The whole show was a hoot. We'd seen the original clips before, but watching them respond with laughter and sarcastic comments just made me happy, especially with Robyn pretending she wasn't sitting anywhere near Kody while he slouched and pouted and checked his watch. Methinks his great luv isn't so in luv with him these days.

I really REALLY wanted one of these but couldn't climb into it! I'm short with hip problems, and while I could get in as a passenger, getting into the driver's seat just didn't work. Ended up with a Honda HRV, which was just a tad lower, and I loved it. Now I'm carless and unable to drive but I still admire the Subarus :)

Janelle was right - Kody has zero idea of the hole he is digging for himself with every word. He knows his kids watch this right? And also the OG wives calling him out on lies, and on having to do their duty as well. The IDEA that the wives were not completely head over heels in love with him either never enters his tiny head.

Sometimes when I'm bored, I go to Google News and search for Sister Wives. My, my, almost everything up there today is how Kody is denying this and snapping at that, all with those small pics of his stringy hair and beady little eyes - and the ever present blue plaid shirt. He's in a very bad place right now and all of these "look back, talk back" shows and the mostly-clips shows have really given us a chance to see how awful he was and still is. He doesn't like it. And he doesn't like being showcased as such a rotten husband.

Thanks @Sweetpea12! Seems an appropriate episode for New Year's Eve. But what with all this looking back stuff, I hope they're running out of clips episodes soon.

Yeah, but - it WAS a whole loveless marriage on Kody's part. Christine loved him but it was one-sided. Kind of hard NOT to see. Mykelti pretty much had to agree with Christine on that no matter how Kody reacts.

I snort looking at him with the yellow ringlets falling around the beady-eyed angry face. He thinks he's such hot stuff with the 6-pack abs and great pecs but he must never look in the mirror above the neck.

Yes, this Friday, December 29th at 9/8 central. And something is showing on New Year's Eve but I'm not sure what. Another big night for me here, so I'll watch it I'm sure. Maybe the thread will unlock!

And what do they have in common besides being siblings? They've grown up and moved out on their own, they're rarely if ever on the show any more, and they left Kody behind while they maintain relationships with the OG moms and each other. Bingo.

After hanging on to it for so long, I don't think they can figure out how to let it go. They probably want us to forget that part of the whole story so they don't look like idiots for believing it for so long.
