  1. For some reason when I first read the comments about Tina in that interview, I thought, "Yep, she's connected to Rene and he doesn't want to say it." I'm thinking released by the end of 511, maybe at least part of the reason for going to Russia in 512 is the General? (I just hope it's that and/or they have more than one reason to take the entire team to Russia because otherwise, a) why? and b) why would Tina fly out of the country with people she just met?) But yeah, OTA scene sounds very, very promising. Hopefully a sign of things to come in 5B.
  2. Wait, so Prometheus is definitely that guy's son? Well, that's boring. I really hope Talia's the mastermind behind this. Otherwise? Disappointed. (Maybe I wouldn't have been if the S1 flashbacks in 509 hadn't been new but had actually been part of season 1.) I do have to say I'm tentatively excited for Diggle's arc (and really hope it doesn't disappoint). I'm surprised that they didn't want to keep it secret that Tina's coming in at the end of 510. I would've thought they would've wanted that to be some big surprise moment.
  3. I think the ratings for 511 might be more telling. I'm sure there are people who haven't seen the Reddit leak or maybe even the promos, but once everyone sees it's Black Siren and not Laurel alive again and Tina is seen onscreen - with a metahuman canary cry - that could change things.
  4. Was that the one about some new show that was a spin-off of an NBC show Believe or something? That in itself was hard to believe because I think I remember the show was cancelled after a handful of episodes and then "news" popped up about a spin-off and KC being the lead?
  5. Clearly somehow Laurel's rings ended up with her gear at the hospital when Evelyn stole it. Prometheus probably made sure Black Siren had them - "Here, Black Siren, you must wear these rings." "Why?" "No one knows."
  6. I wish we'd get an interview explaining what Oliver is thinking this season. For now, I'm just going to hope we get something about Thea, Lance and Rory. And hopefully something about Prometheus and what's coming up there. I thought I saw something mentioned on Twitter about a blind item, but only that there was one? I figured it was just because news has been slow about Arrow.
  7. I think that one of the reasons for the argument that Felicity has been sidelined for the new characters is because Felicity's the one around the newbies the most. Thea and Lance have been shipped off to City Hall/rehab island. Thea has been in the lair, what, a handful of times? And Lance has been there I think once? So it becomes a matter of seeing things like Felicity in the background with the newbies, having Rene call her "Blondie" and Curtis doing things that Felicity has done herself in the past. It's easy to say (and hope) that her behavior in 5A is because of her 5B arc, but looking at it without the interviews/tweets/etc. and just with what we saw in 5A? It really just looks like they decided to eliminate anything that could lead to "drama" by not including feelings where they should have and that the Havenrock stuff was mostly about Rory.
  8. That was my first thought too. But maybe he'll surprise everyone? (I doubt it, but you never know.)
  9. I wouldn't be surprised if we never see Evelyn again - or if we only see her body. (I still think Prometheus might just get rid of her and stage her body like a Hood killing since she can't be his mole anymore.) Her storyline was a mess.
  10. Flash also has a coffee named after him. And Laurel/Black Canary got a statue while Roy had to fake his own death and leave town. (And I don't see anything being done for Roy anytime soon, if ever.)
  11. Could be both. They could go to Russia for some Bratva-related reason, but also use the opportunity to find out whatever they can about Talia/Prometheus/etc. It's not like they can make trips to Russia whenever they want (although they totally can if plot calls for it). I don't think they'd have the entire team go to Russia for something for the person who just joined the team the week before after they made a trip to another city to recruit her. But then again, who knows with these writers.
  12. I feel like they probably put together a list of actors who could sing and then looked at that list to make sure they could come up with any sort of explanation (even a really, really bad one) for them to visit CC if they're not from The Flash. Stein's home visiting family. Malcolm is... I don't know, they'll come up with something. There was no way JB wasn't going to be part of the musical episode. That was pretty much a given from the moment it was announced.
  13. I think we also have to consider what's going to be happening on Arrow at the time of the musical crossover. Assuming they don't want to have the timeline so obviously not add up, it might not make sense for any of the Arrow characters to leave Star City then.
  14. I'd feel bad for Thea. But the more people against Susan, the better. And since they seem to love WD and writing for him (to the point that they bring it up when asked about Diggle), having him be against Susan would be a good thing.
  15. Even if she doesn't betray Oliver, what about what she did to Thea and Lance already? It's like the show is hoping the audience just forgets about her introduction if they do try to redeem her. The fact that the 5x12 description says that "it's up to Rene to help keep things on track" doesn't make it sound like Susan's going to be trying to help Lance. If Rene is the one to intervene... But maybe that's just my interpretation.
  16. Really, Prometheus doesn't actually have to do anything to try to turn everyone against Oliver - or at least distance them from him. Oliver's doing a pretty good job of that himself. Sure, Felicity doesn't blame him for Billy, but she is going to be doing her own thing in 5B and keeping it from him, so there's that. Even after what Susan did to Thea, he's still dating her. Now there's the Lance situation and if Oliver does say "She's just doing her job..." If Oliver's focused on mayoral stuff, we don't know how involved he'll necessarily be with anyone else's storyline. Prometheus could probably just sit back with popcorn and watch, maybe go out and kill some people and stage them like a S1 Hood scene when he feels like it.
  17. Are we supposed to want her to be redeemed? Because I don't. Look what she did to Thea and Lance already. Look at the situation she's going to be putting Lance in now. The guy just got out of rehab and she's going to bring up all the problems he was facing that put him in there? It would make sense if she's working for Prometheus - a way to maybe get him out of the picture again. I would love it if the episode ends with Oliver returning from Russia and breaking up with her. Especially since Oliver did basically nothing to help Lance even though he knew from 501 that he was drinking again. At least show he's on Lance's side by not continuing to date the reporter who first questioned his job and then asked him questions about a painful part of his life.
  18. Where's Thea in this? Why is it up to Rene to intervene? And why is Oliver even letting this happen? Is Susan going to take advantage of Oliver going to Russia - can't wait for him to explain that one to the woman who's been "casually" dropping Russia into their conversations and drinking Russian vodka - and leap at the chance to go to Lance for an interview? (I feel like the only reason they don't mention Diggle by name in the synopsis is because they think they can keep it a secret that he's likely out of prison at the end of 511.)
  19. I was thinking it might be to connect Diggle to Chase's arc? They really need to do something with Chase sooner rather than later, considering JS is a series regular.
  20. I think it could be interesting to see how they promote the S5 DVD - especially if the season doesn't get a whole lot better. Remember when they used that Olicity featurette to promote the S4 set but it wasn't even on there? That's something else I'm bitter about - the promotion of the show doesn't necessarily match up to what we see in the episodes. (I still want to know where that "spring in Felicity's step" because of her relationship with Billy was.)
  21. Yeah, they seemed to have dropped that the moment they figured that out too. It seemed like they were trying to set up Billy as possibly working for Prometheus with that and then... nothing.
  22. Yep. It's like as soon as they got rid of Church, they forgot corrupt cops existed. Has the ACU even been mentioned since Billy told Felicity he was joining? I'd like that a whole lot more than what they tried to sell us in 509.
  23. Why? I think of Black Siren as a Flash character. (Same with any other Earth versions of the Arrow characters because the multiple Earths has been almost entirely a Flash thing.) I don't see why we'd see BS again after 510 because she'll have served her purpose once the statue is destroyed and Tina is introduced. I do think it's likely we'll see BS on The Flash - maybe even in the final scene of 310, depending on how they're going to handle her "escape" from STAR Labs - but that's it.
  24. Didn't Felicity contact Barry (after checking with Oliver that it would be okay to tell him, only to find out that Barry only knew - that reminds me of how much I hated that, with Felicity finding out everyone who knew before her), then Barry contacted Samantha, who then came to Star City? And I think this happened after William had already been kidnapped for a couple of days, so Samantha knew already, didn't call Oliver and probably wouldn't have if Barry hadn't gone to see her. The problem is that the "back to basics" we're seeing in S5 is "we're just going to forget everything we've done over the past 4 seasons but sprinkle in a few moments to remind you of what we consider the 'basics,' like Oliver killing because no one can know his secret."
