Re Kimiko, I wonder if she's different because she lost her powers and shot up with V again. Maybe they've changed the formula so it affected her differently than from when she got it earlier.

So, I had a terrible thought about Soldier Boy and Homelander. Rather than SB being HL's father..what if SB abused HL when he was a kid. Gunpowder said SB knocked him around but not sexual abuse. What if all the static in HL's mind and split personality thing was triggered by SB... I don't want to think it's true but it sure would live up to narrative the showrunners have been intimating about SB being worse than HL...

Re: "Herogasm" being possibly over hyped: I'm okay with it not being an entire episode of an orgy. I think ultimately, the "Herogasm" of it all was the fight with SB, Homelander, Butcher and Hughie.

IIRC, no one knew Stormfront/Liberty was a Nazi when Soldier Boy knew her. I thought that didn't come to light until the present aka Season 2.

Apparently, per those that saw her panel at Purcon this weekend, Sam Smith (Mary) said that the "I never was"...line from Dean to Mary in 12.14 during their argument about Mary's mother role...was an Ad-lib by Jensen. So any credit I ever gave Berens for his writing of Dean in s12 is completely gone. He couldn't even give Dean a good rebuttal to Mary's bullshit "I'm not jus a MoM " and "You are not a child" thing. Damnnnn

I'm thinking maybe Robbie and Jensen are going to try and rework the stuff that really broke canon...like most of 13 through 15. I don't think they can make it worse.

It seems weird that Jensen would tell DHJ something he hasn't publicly put out in the press or even hinted at himself or leaked by the press. So I tend to question DHJ's veracity on that one. That said, if Jensen did tell him, and it was intended to remain private, then I guess Jensen knows to never tell him anything more or less confidential again! It could also be that it's speculation on DHJ's part. It's not a stretch that they would go the AU route and time travel as part of the premise. I agree that is kinda lousy for DHJ to speak on it and not Jensen.

I was thinking about John not knowing about the Men of Letters..I think that could be an easy one to cover. John lies. John knew about Sam being the target of Azazel...if IIRC or at least something happened to him..that he did t tell Dean about until he made the deal with Azazel.. so maybe he did know about the MoL all along and died before he told the boys. It think that is the easiest one to "fix".

I've been reading some chatter on the Tweet machine that it's a fake script, which makes a lot more sense wrt what was in it. My suspicion is that someone wrote that to screw around with fandom. That said, if the scene with Dean writing at his desk is in fact part of the actual pilot script, it could be that Dean is in heaven and writing what he wants to say about his parents and it could be that Sam isn't dead yet. Or Jensen always intended to give JP a cameo or something. Personally, I don't think that is THE real script.

Which is no different than when Dean went to the past and saw Young Mary and when they did it in Song remains the Same. Or when Cas wiped Lisa's memory. Or it means that John never told the boys or Mary about his MOL past which there is wiggle room for him to lie about it if he just wanted to leave it behind.

He could have joined a Hunter group and has his memories erased by the angels, because they did it in Song Remains the Same... I think anything John and Mary do in prequel gets reset by the angels to get it back to the beginning of SPN.

I don't think it's a big retcon for Young John. IIRC, that description matches the John from In The Beginning and even Song Remains the Same. Mary told Dean in In the Beginning, that John, even after the Vietnam War, was still filled with hope.

This one baffled me then and still does. My only thought is that he took that scene out to hold the reveal for after they captured Michael....which didn't matter because then Michael ended up in Rowena anyway. So stupid. And IMO another big F/U to Jensen, was bringing OG Michael back in Adam...who the show didn't give a shit about for what 7 or 8 seasons? (Which I was fine with him never being brought back). As for Sam, whilst we might not have seen a lot of Chief Sam becoming Chief Sam, after seeing him YELL at demons to make them leave (LOLOLOOL so ridiculous), he was being called Chief despite insisting to Dean he asked his minions to stop, which they did not,which more than drove home his exalted status. And he was such the martyr what with no sleep, no eat, so much that Mary actually fussed over him. He continued to be seen as Chief for the first half of s14 in nearly every episode by reference and him on the phone giving advice. Now, as to how good he was at being Chief Sam, is a different discussion, but I think it's fair to note Sam didn't fall out of nor was removed from his own storyline and no one else played Chief Sam but Jared.

As to the dinosaur mascot: When they were excavating the area to build Coors Field, they discovered dinosaur bones thus the mascot. As a Rockies fan, I hate the mascot not because he's a dinosaur but because he used to hang out behind home plate and do antics in the ninth inning. So annoying.

It could also be that the 1972 date mentioned in the press release can he changed by a year to matchup better before production begins, if it ever gets to the pilot stage. John and Mary could have been put together by the angels the moment John ran into her outside the movie theatre. And the story goes from there, with Mary starting to keep John from learning she was hunting etc. Hell, I'd be okay with everything that happened from s12 to s15 was actually another AU and that Mary was never brought back at all and Jack was never born..because for me, YMMV, everything during those seasons was the most LOLcanon. I think there are so many ways to do this, that I would probably buy it. I can also see a potential for some non linear "This Is Us" -esque storytelling, which would allow for using Amy Gumenick, and Matt Cohen, and even JDM and Sam Smith, with some possible cameos by just about anyone.

The only line I remember is from Slash Fiction "Well, if your gonna be stupid, you might as well be smart about it." It also sounds like a Crowley line too
