  1. I anticipate Reva actually being a mentor to Desna. That woman clearly does not like men, specifically, she doesn't like how they wield power. I hope they get into her back story a bit more so we understand where that comes from. She's from Russia so considering the history of that government it's not that I'm surprised that she feels that way, I just want to know her specific circumstances. I also want to know if Desna's Dr. actually has a medical degree. Does he really care about the suffering in his country like he told Desna and decided that he could help them more by the millions he could bring in by selling drugs instead of providing medical services? Hell, is he using some of that money to build a hospital in Haiti? I want to know if there is some truth to any of his story. I also want to know if he actually knew who Desna was. I can't see how knowing her and getting her into bed would be of any help to his business since the Haitian, Dixie Mafia and all the other mafia families in Florida have an understanding. I mean based on his operation, he wouldn't need her to get at anything the Dixie Mafia had going on. The Dixie Mafia is running a chop shop compared to what the Dr. is running. I also would like more background on how and where Desna met Polly and Ann.
  2. No, we knew from season one that her mother died by the hands of drug lords, Teresa has said it. We just never knew the details of how it went down until this episode. And I apologize to the blonde who I said a week or two ago was just a trophy wife, which I equate to someone who doesn't have much ambition, at least not the kind of ambition I admire. It didn't help that she was confronting another woman over her loser husband which I also don't like, I hate to see women doing it. If I have to confront another woman over some shitty man then I've hit a low. Instead, just pack your damn bags and leave especially since she actually has a brain and hasn't been tied to him by way of children. Yeah, she did have ambition, she did achieve something noteworthy other than catching a rich man. She actually wanted to be a power couple with him. Unfortunately, she found out that's not what he wanted and then got sucked in, like Tre with that loser Guerro. On another note, Tre needs to get that same crew who she hooked up to protect Camilla in jail, to take her ass out. Or, just look the other way the next time she gets jumped. James, let him go Tre, even if he decides to come on your side, execute him. He put a tracker in little Tony's game, no, no. That was weeks ago when he acted like he had a soft spot for how much Tre cared for that kid and thought he would donate some stuff for him to play with, weeks ago. So weeks ago he was playing her.
  3. It was kind of pathetic that the Dixie Mafia only had Bryce and Dr. Ken as muscle. I mean that hippie guy who Bryce killed was apparently UD's boss, so UD doesn't appear to be even at the same ranking level as Desna's Dr.. Next season, I need to see more muscle when it comes to the Dixie Mafia, because it can't just be made up of the dead hippie guy, UD, Bryce, and Roller. The Haitian mafia is in this large warehouse with all this muscle. They're patting visitors down before they go in to see the big guy. Where is this in the Dixie Mafia operation? I mean Reva has muscle from millennials to baby boomers and beyond watching out for her ass.
  4. Arya just needs to stay in her damn lane. She's not a politician she's an assassin, so just STFU and assassinate on behalf of the North and your Stark family. And those assassinations should not include anyone with Stark blood. I love the girl, but she's way out of line. She's operating without doing her homework.
  5. No, she was not their mother. Roller told Desna in the flashback episode, that his parents, actually he used the word family, were gunned down in front of the church they use to go to. Which leads me to my next observation, I don't think that Roller and Bryce are blood brothers. I keep listening for key pronouns and other words when I hear Uncle Daddy, Bryce and Roller speak about their father. I notice that when UD and Bryce were talking about what happened to HIS father, it just sounded like they weren't talking about Roller's dad. When Roller is talking about his family being gunned down when he was a kid to Desna in the flashback and UD taking him under his wing, he never mentions his brother to Desna. He never mentions Bryce. It would make more sense to me that if they were biological brothers who were growing up together before their parents were killed that he would have said that UD took he and his brother under his wing. Instead he made it sound like his entire family was wiped out. Just something that will have me thinking that they aren't biological brothers until I get specific confirmation. Hell, even when UD was talking to Roller in the finale about what a loser his father was, I don't even think the camera flashed to Bryce, to show his reaction at how negatively his "father" was being talked about. It was like UD was talking about Roller's father only and not Bryce's dad. Maybe Bryce and Roller had the same mother, but I definitely don't think they share a father.
  6. I'll start worrying about Danny becoming her father when I see glee in her face at burning people alive. I don't see joy, I don't see her doing it for sport. She clearly still has a heart, but this is war, and she made an example of two disrespectful captors. If she were really evil, mad, and over the edge, she just would have burned the rest of the men for sport and not even stand up there giving them a speech on their choices. Dear Lady Oleanna told her to cut the shit and start acting like what she is, a dragon. So on this leg of the war, that is what she did, she acted like a dragon and sent a message that she's not playing around. Tyrion is starting to bug me, his loyalty is questionable because he still feels tied to his family in particular his brother. I don't blame him for that, but I certainly don't blame Danny for side eyeing him either. On another note, good lord does Danny want Jon or what...the girl got a lump in her throat when Jon said he was leaving to go over the wall. She was trying to make him stay, by saying something to the effect of she hasn't released him. Littlefinger's days are numbered and Sansa will be the one to call him on his shit and Arya will then take that same knife that LF gave to Bran and kill him with it. He's taught Sansa a lot about fighting wars and fighting them from all sides and I think we'll see very soon how good of student she is. And I don't think Arya will be in on it, she'll actually think that Sansa has turned against her, that she and her sister are on opposing sides. LF will think that his plan has worked, up until that moment that all is revealed.
  7. Yeah, I was watching him in that scene, watching his hands specifically. I noticed that his hands were on Polly's hand while she hugged the girl. He wasn't trying to cop a feel on a teenage girl and that made me breathe a sigh of relief. I love Dr. Ken and copping a feel of a teenage girl would for sure change that.
  8. And for some reason the writers/show runner think this shit is cute. I have been very understanding of Virginia, getting that she is young and wants to desperately be accepted into the family. But when the show keeps shitting on Desna and making her suffer consequences all the while acting like fucking Virginia is some delicate flower to be protected, I'm done trying to understand her. I'm now full on turned against the bitch. They're about to push me to the point of wishing that she ends up being food for the gators down there. Please show, stop pushing me to that point where this character is concerned. It's easy, get off your little protective love fest for this character always going to the "innocence" of her youth and desperation of wanting to be accepted. Please, Desna had a fucked up life too, Ann, all these women. Virginia is not a teenager, she's not a minor, and my patience with the coddling treatment these writers continue to give her at the expense of Desna has worn thin.
  9. At first, I fully agreed with this, but then looking at the total picture, he's way better than Roller in how he treats Desna. At least the "Dr." doesn't bite her damn neck after he comes, like Roller use to. That's what she said, something about Roller's idea of romance was biting her neck after he came. Then she made a comment during their date at her house, that it was going to be nice to sit down and eat dinner with a gentleman for a change. So yeah, he is slightly better than Roller, in how he treats Desna, he treats her like a lady. And to be honest, there is no way that Desna, as long as she's in that business, can ever get with a "clean hands" type of guy. How is that going to work? That can't work. So a guy with dirty hands, just like hers, although she's not proud of what she has had to do and is always looking for a way out, but a guy with dirty hands who can treat with care and respect, that would be good.
  10. I thought Brienne's father was implied during the episode where they hung out with those ladies from the fancy side of town. I could have sworn that Jen mentioned during their girl talk about falling for some black cowboy. How she had never met anyone like him because he was black and into country music like she was. Then she said that he was in jail, I think it was for armed robbery but I could be wrong. I do know she definitely said he was in prison. So I just put it together that he was probably Brienne's father. No way do I think Brienne is Bryce's bio child, but Brienne is what six years old? So they probably known her since she was a toddler at the very least. Uncle Daddy and his family have been her family since she can remember. n
  11. Me too, I love him. Molly go back to therapy! I beg of you, please go back girl. LOL Yes he did do a great job. I loved at the end when the cop is using the word "beat" to refer to his team winning basketball games. Then Lawrence says something to the effect of "yeah, you beat us..." and you damn well he is NOT referring to basketball.
  12. Roller's face looked like, oh so you're not a good guy, you're not BETTER than me, you don't deserve the respect Desna was giving you. It was like a righteous, satisfying smirk in my opinion. Because the entire time he was losing his shit, twice he brought up her wanting and respecting the Dr. The key word was RESPECT and that bothered his ego. Bryce knows him as well and was just in shock. Meanwhile, Uncle Daddy definitely doesn't know he has any connection to Desna nor that his two boys know who he is.
  13. I'm starting to seriously RESENT her character. Fucking Dean, yelling at Desna about life choices, yet nothing for his skank ho? No chastising her, since she was the one who shot Roller? You gotta be kidding me, she hasn't suffered any consequences for anything IMO. She's annoying and I don't feel the warmth and care for her that I do that girl that Polly rescued and I've only seen her like three times now. The show needs to cut the shit when it comes to this character because it just started to backfire with this viewer. Be careful show about shitting all over Desna and making her take most of the heat for shit, cut it out, because it will turn me off. I already have an issue with the black female characters being portrayed constantly as some strong mama bear to all, no one taking care of them. At least Desna has Ann and Polly, steadfast those two in not shitting all over Desna and pointing fingers solely at her. The whole everything is on the black woman's shoulders and she must be strong didn't bug me as much with this show, because I love Niecy Nash, and the show is fun and quirky with it's large side order of danger, but it's starting to bug be me now when blame doesn't seem to be spread evenly. Desna being strong and taking all the heat can't become a thing ALL the time, it's going to turn me off this show.
  14. Because maybe in time we will be shown just the opposite, that, that superficial Sansa truly no longer exists. So it does have meaning, but maybe the meaning is to show how far she has come by the time they wrap up this story with Littlefinger. I think that's where they are going, Littlefinger will underestimate her and Arya will have misjudged her by the time all is said and done. And once again, just for the record, so what if a woman wants power just for the sake of having it?So what if she likes nice things? I don't see why she has to be judged negatively especially if I personally haven't yet seen her, in this case Sansa, do anything so horrid to get that power.
  15. I'm disgusted with it's all Desna's fault vibe that I got, hell it is not. I'm tired that she can't win for losing and gets all the fingers pointed at her for the blame. And for the first time, I was like STFU Dean. Make better choices? You make better choices since you knocked up your little skank ho and in no way can YOU take care of a baby and neither can she. So guess who you and your skank ho baby mama is going to be looking to for assistance...your sister, who has taken care of you like a mother, and tried to avenge the crimes committed against like a mother. Watch your damn mouth. Unless we find out that she skanked her way onto another penis and the baby isn't Dean's. Yeah, who am I kidding, where would the torture be in that, of course it's Dean's, ugh. Well, "Gyno Dr." just got interesting. Of course he did, you can't be on this damn show and have your hands clean unless you're a child. Now what the hell happened between Roller and that Russian seventeen year old girl? I couldn't get what that was all about. I know the baby that Riva was holding was that girls. But I just couldn't get what Roller did to her.
  16. But he knew the Russians were staking out the clinic. When Desna showed up in that first episode, Dr. Ken pointed out the Russians to her. She told Dr. Ken to tell Roller. Then Dr. Ken says that Roller told him to tell her about, to let her handle it. So he knew damn well that they were at the clinic. I still don't get exactly the details of the deal between the Russians and Roller. All I got from it was that blood is NOT thicker than water according to Riva, or something to that effect. They cut the scene there and we never got to hear her long story. So I hope they give me details in this finale as to exactly what was Roller's business with the Russians, what was he doing for them.? Was it just that he decided to sell a stake in the clinic to them and then got behind on the payments because of his untimely "death?" And again, why would he do that? Why would he turn over power to some other family? It's not like he was going to get a seat at the top, he's not Russian, he would never be seen as one of them. I don't get his motivation. I really don't get what was in it for him and why he would turn on Uncle Daddy that severely? It can't be just because Uncle Daddy didn't give Desna her bonus, it's got to be more.
  17. Could be, but she surely was under the assumption that because her father had become governor, he was no longer in the business. Then they went to that party and they were singing that song about him and she was pouting all the way home. I didn't take it as she was ashamed that a song like that was written about her father, because it's not true. I took it as her realizing that, no, you are the Narco Princess just like that kid was teasing you about because your father is still a Kingpin.
  18. I cannot believe, that Roller is bitching about the Dr. in jealousy, did he not forget he was sticking his best friend in every hole of Virginia's not too long ago? To the point that he was ordering Desna to shit all over Polly and fire her for some skank ho, thanks Dean, LOL. Scratch that, I can believe it, these men are hot mess, they all the same. Yes, bitch about her trying to kill you, LOL, but another man... really? Then he's got the gun to her head and he's still bitching about how all she loves is the money and she wants the Dr.. I was like what money? He acts as if Desna was rolling in the money from her work at the clinic which he did in fact get her into, but she wasn't making any money to speak of. Yep, he definitely hooked up with those Russians so he could give Desna what she wanted and he's hurt because he believes he did all this for nothing, since she wants someone like the Dr. His ego wouldn't allow him to just tell her that he went to bat for her with Uncle Daddy, but he said no, he couldn't tell her that. But if he had told her that, they wouldn't be where they are now. Speaking of the Dr. I'm calling it now that he's probably not even a Dr. but running the Haitian mob. He knew exactly who Desna was when he met her. Damn, poor Desna, try as she might she can't get away from the bad dudes, whether they're wearing a suit or a dorag doesn't matter. Also, Uncle Daddy's wife, I'm thinking there something not on the up and up with her either. She went on a girls' trip, yeah right. When Uncle Daddy said that, my ears perked up. Can't wait for the finale.
  19. The people who laugh in the back ground on this show when they just can't hold in, make laugh, it's so funny. And yes, it is hilarious when Rachel points out that that you are the SPOKESWOMAN for the state department, yet you don't want to SPEAK on what's going on in other countries, LOL. This being offended at looking down on others as if they're stupid well, that spokeswoman sounds stupid and she's on the world stage sounding that way. She sounds like a fucking idiot, yet has a very important job. I believe that's why Rachel's eyes look like they are about to pop out of her head in response to this woman and her press conferences. Be ignorant if you want to, but don't hold powerful important positions with that kind of ignorance. That kind of idiocy deserves to be looked down on and laughed at.
  20. I'm impressed by Teresa period, I like that girl. Another lesson learned, she's got nine lives. The "sisterhood" is OVER, and it's really on now. None of this surprises me, Tre is as useful to Camilla as she is a threat and of course Camilla damn well knows this. There was no where to go but to full on enemy territory with these two women. They are both leaders in a business where there isn't much room for sharing power. No way in hell was Camilla going to share as in be her partner, please. Damn, is the Colonel the example of being such and evil being, he can't be killed. How in the hell is he walking around looking like Freddy Krueger? I died laughing when I saw him. Shut up James, either come on Tre's side or I hope Pote takes your ass out. How many freaking times has Tre NOT left your ass behind to die? I know it's more than once. Good lord does she need to be gone. Is she out of high school? She is so damn immature and dumb/denial, which are one in the same for me. She seriously didn't know what her parents did? She seriously thought her father was out of the business? She should have known what her parents did from grade school, a smart kid would have known a long time ago. I've been around enough of them; you cannot sell them bullshit, no way. Now she's flying all around trying to destroy herself because mommy and daddy aren't who she thought they were, please.
  21. Did anyone catch when Roller said to Desna that he's died twice? He said twice. What does he mean by twice?
  22. He needs to be about something exciting because watching him is like watching paint dry. Say what one wants about Roller, he's not boring and he and Desna have chemistry, twisted, but it's there. And now they're both even in trying to kill one another, LOL, some sick shit. But the doctor... I'm not getting anything with her and this doctor except that he looks great on paper.
  23. Niecy said in an interview that for the finale, all she could say was that people will be paying consequences for their actions and that people are not who they appear to be. Which got me to thinking just based on seeing her in the promo, that Uncle Daddy's wife might more of a power player than she appears to be. We've already seen in this episode that Uncle Daddy was not the top dog in the game in his area of Florida that is, he had a hippy boss that he seem to be tip toeing around. I had no idea he had to answer to anyone, much less someone like that. So I'm looking forward to masks coming off of few characters faces so to speak.
  24. Really, is this a spoiler or something you just think will happen? I'll take my spoiler comment to that thread. And if someone is going to die, I don't put money on Roller, the producers love the Roller and Desna dynamic. The show runner said that the flashbacks in this episode told the love story between Desna and Roller, she specifically used the word "twisted" to describe that love, but it's supposed to be love nonetheless. I mean, originally he was supposed to stay dead, but they liked him so much they kept him.
  25. The entire time I was like this is why the original name of this series on Youtube was called Awkward Black Girl among other reasons. I actually liked that title better than Insecure. Issa the writer/actress has said in interviews how she felt awkward, something about not fitting in and going to schools here in this country after spending some of her primary years in her father's African country, I think it's Senegal and her mother is from the south. But going to school in CA and not fitting in with the black American kids etc...she felt awkward, because she didn't get any of the lingo, the culture at first. In the ABG series her best friend was I think she was white, maybe Hispanic, but it wasn't a black girl. I forgot where they said they met, but she was with Issa at the very beginning of ABG, writing and finding places to shoot their little series. I think the actress who played her best friend on ABG was in a couple of episodes of Insecure last season, as a character who worked at Issa's job. I could have sworn I saw her on the trip when they took the kids to the beach. Actually, I think she was in the episode before last when they were having the meeting and the white guy turned to the white girl and said something about I though she was Mexican, something to that effect. Yeah, that girl played her best friend in ABG.
